CENTO Osteria

This new spot on the Embarcadero is excellent and I anticipate it becoming my usual haunt after this. Location is great with a nice but not over the top atmosphere inside and available outdoor seating. Service was great, almost verging on a little too attentive. Most importantly the food was delicious, it was well presented and rich without being overly heavy. The menu calls out the specific region each dish originates from and the waiters were very knowledgeable in making great recommendations.

Seeing that they have a happy hour from 3:30-7pm is also a little dangerous, I'll definitely be back there soon.

Went here for lunch on a week day! Patio seating is also available.
Great for small or big groups.
I ordered grilled squid, pasta and pizza.
Everything was delicious and the hospitality was excellent!!
I will definitely be coming back for dinner!

This is an italian-style restaurant in a great area (Embarcadero) in San Francisco. Considering the area, the freshness of the ingredients and the good cooking quality, prices are OK. I really enjoyed a fresh and well prepared sea-bass and, despite the dish comes with too much potatoes for my taste, the tenderness of the fish meat compensated it. The personnel is very cordial and the atmosphere relaxed and discrete without presumption. I definitely recommend it and I will return if the occasion arises.

This place opened last week and is already packed. Love the open space. Great wine list. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food is excellent. Get the cacio e Pepe! And be sure to save room for dessert!

Tried brunch and the risotto cake was tasty. Also sampled the vegetarian ravioli. Great pasta. Would come back again.

August 18:
Enjoyed a great dinner here on 8-17-18. Our server recommended the salmon belly mousse on polenta. That was delicious. Tried the margherita and the salametto 🍕. Both were excellent. Crust was nicely cooked with good crunch and texture.

Shared the squid ink pasta and the pappardelle. Both pastas tasted house made and were exceptional.

Can't wait to come back again!!

We stopped by, following a Giants game, for their Happy Hour specials. Fantastic decision! $5 beers, large selection of finger foods, authentic Italian eats and a wonderful staff. We definitely recommend this place and intend on coming back the next time we’re in San Francisco!

This is a fantastic restaurant. I attended their pre-opening and I loved everything. From the pizza, to the pasta (pappardelle, ravioli, and cacio e pepe) to the secondi and dessert. A new great Osteria in San Francisco.

Ate outside in the afternoon. It was really beautiful, with a beautiful breeze rushing toward the bay. Waiter was very attentive but generally left me in peace.

Had lunch there today, and I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite cuisine is Italian, so I tend to be very selective with the different pasta dishes. Don't recall the name, but I had the whole wheat ravioli with spinach, no meat ingredients. So delicious, ate the whole thing. No doggy bag necessary!! Just that homemade taste, the healthy ingredients..with a half carafe of excellent red wine which the waitress had suggested. Love this place!! NOT exaggerating.

Novel yet authentic Italian food.
Had the black squid pasta with calamari, it was an experience that took me back to Southern Italy. Our server enjoyed my limited Italian and could not have been more attentive in an Italian style.
The pizza was hearty and mouthwatering, nicely spiced.
Metered parking for lunch was more than adequate. My mouth waters for a return visit.

We were very happy when we walked in and saw the warm inviting atmosphere along with Italian servers. We enjoyed a small carafe of wine and a lovely meal. We shared a pizza and pasta along with one appetizer and everything was delicious. My husband is from Italy, so he was thrilled that this authentic place opened in our neighborhood.

Came here for a work lunch not expecting much. In the end we left pleasantly surprised. The menu was inventive and fresh. Everything was cooked well and with quality ingredients. The flavors were all spot on - no missteps from the kitchen. We tried a lot of dishes in our big group and everyone was enthusiastic. Will be going back.

This place is THE BEST. We saw their bottomless mimosa deal on their chalkboard outside and walked in. The deal ended in an hour but we asked if we could do bottomless until our football game ended in two hours. They nicely said yes.They changed the channel to the game we wanted. We ordered the ravioli and the nduja pizza and they were both delicious. I was extremely impressed by the menu (good meat ravioli, nduja, and home made limoncello is hard to come by in the states).They were quick to refill our mimosas without us asking. The service was great throughout and we'll definitely be returning!

Good food, excellent service! Our host and server were both super friendly, I loved my cocktail and the squid ink pasta. Great to have such a nice place to eat in this area that's also not too fancy 😁

Nice place. Great venue when the windows are open and it’s warm. When I first visited it was good but very over priced and the menu was a little over the top. They seem to have figured that out and changed the menu and lowered the prices. The pizza is great too!

Chef Donato has done it again!!! Appetizers were amazing, especially the chicken liver pate served on homemade thick but soft toast. We ordered a little of everything and enjoyed it all-pasta, chicken, pork tenderloin. Great for a date or work event.

As we had to carb up before the SF marathon, we decided to try this place to get pasta. Living not too far, I cannot believe we did not go there earlier!! The food was really really good for all of us (4 adults and a toddler), and our waitress was really nice and she paid attention to us the whole evening. We got burrata salad, the fried shrimps and the heirloom tomatoes salad as appetizers, and then my family got the rigatoni and I had the squid ink pasta. I really enjoyed my dish - pasta was nicely cooked and the dish was very flavorful. Same comments were made for the rigatoni. The 3 desserts we got (pana cotta, lavender pot de creme and affogato) were a hit as well. The wine was also really good. We did not try cocktails bc of the marathon, but definitely planning to go back!!

Really authentic Italian food from all regions in Italy. Great service, nice location. This is not your americanized version of pizza or pasta but amazing food. Their oven produces the best pizza.

It was near my office so I decided to go there for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised how good the food is. The bread and chicken liver was so flavorful I devoured three of them. and Pasta was on - point. Simple but very delicious. Def recommend it.
