Love coming here during Christmas! The decorations outside are absolutely beautiful and the backstage is perfect for people who are on a spending budget. You can get absolutely anything at this store and it is incredible for Christmas shopping!

Saba was wonderful, and greeted us from the beginning! She was attentive, and never hesitated to offer pulling a new style shoe for me. She was patient, kind, and genuinely gave some of the best customer service I’ve ever had. I really hope Macy’s understands what a true value she provides to their team.

And I left with a pair of new shoes I needed for my conference while I was in town! Thank you!

It's been a long long time since I have been to Macy's. When I was a child I thought Macy's was best ever;especially, Macy's on 32th avenue. This Macy's has changed. The spaces are broken down to designer clothing and such. There is construction going on. Quality clothing is still there and going strong. Busy. I'm glad the store still exists!

This review is for Toys R Us located in the lower level of Macy’s in Union Square. Now, i’m extremely biased because I grew up a “Toys R Us Kid.” After the store went out of business some years ago, I was so sad because it was part of my upbringing. It was so nostalgic walking through the aisles and seeing the logo. Despite being smaller in scale because it’s not its own store, this location in Macy’s has a lot of amazing toys. There is an aisle for all of the favorites; Disney, Nerf, Power Rangers, and so much more. For the next week, beginning Saturday, October 15 the store will have sales and giveaways.

This is a very nice Macy's Department Store. I love the aesthetics and Holiday Decor 🎄I was amazed at the fact that they have Toys R Us, Cheesecake Factory, and a wine bar on site. It was a bit difficult to find assistance on the floor, but I got lucky enough to find a short checkout line. There are a lot of people doing their holiday shopping. The cashier was very polite. 👍👍

So sad, our landmark Macy is leaving San Francisco.
Sorry Macy we fail you.

It’s good with many floors for work , men and kids along with good sports for breaks

Not very busy and sort of sad, but really great sale prices. Men's shoe department has good selection and 50% off almost everything....

The store is big, clean and bright. Each floor has the sale area, the discount can be until 80%. On 8th floor they have BackStage, area with all the very low price items. They have good discount for the online order too. Branded store with discount price

Mark at the Dolce & Gabbana perfume counter is awesome! Took the time to chat with me about perfumes, shared some of his knowledge with me, and was really friendly and helpful! I love the perfume (Devotion smells so, so good), and it was great getting such wonderful customer service from such a nice person.

They have every great outfit for everyone. Love how spaced out the place is; giving every person room to look around and find what they need.
Also love the food places inside - such as Starbucks because shopping can sometimes be a tiring exercise that requires one to rest a bit, for a snack.
The staff is amazing and always eager to help with a smile.

Belay from the shoes department was super helpful in helping me find the perfect heels while he simultaneously juggled other guests in the store! Great employee! Great customer service!

One of the large Macy's store located in Union Square with several floors. Centrally located in the city, with many choices of clothing etc. There is also a food court in the basement.

One word: huge. This 8-storey Macy’s has the biggest collection of clothing, furniture and whatnot probably in at least the whole of California. Macy’s Backstage on floor 8 provides a decent selection of its own, with cheaper apparel and accessories.

Obviously, this is located very centrally, just opposite Union Square. It’s not hard to miss either, as its imposing presence can be seen from afar.

Customer service here is great. Polite and knowledgeable staff.

In terms of facilities, there is a cafeteria downstairs on LL; some more eateries on floor 1/2; bathrooms on pretty much most floors (but they’re accessible by code); Starbucks on floor 4; Cheesecake Factory on floor 7; and Macy’s Backstage on floor 8. You could probably live here for your whole life and still have resources left over.

All in all, Macy’s Union Square is a great place to spend about half a day, or a whole day if you’re a shopaholic. To avoid the crowds if it does become a bit full, go to Macy’s Backstage for a bit. Not many people are there, but you can find yourself some great deals.

This is the coolest Macy's I've ever been in, it makes every other Macy's seem like nothing. Their decor right now is beautiful as they really dressed it up for the holidays. Huge store, many floors. You can find pretty much anything here. They had a large selection of trench coats and I was already amazed by how every size and color was in stock. Then to my surprise there was an entire other trenchcoat section for petites. I find items here that aren't available at most locations.

If you get a chance to visit the Macy's Flower Show, please do. It's absolutely breathtaking to see all the wonder and beautiful flowers. Is called ONE UPON A SPRING TIME. you can't help but feel amazed by all the captivating displays.

Very good experience today. Special mention for Eiji who helped us in the shoe section. We were shopping till late on Black Friday and Eiji stayed till late, helping everyone. He brought my shoe sizes, helped me with my questions. Very pleasant to see his smile even after his entire day of work.

International shoppers, read on for discount!

First of all I'd like to say that this review is not exclusively about Macy's in San Francisco, but for Macy's as a department store. I will however take this opportunity to mention that San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders fans will be pleasantly surprised with the merchandise on offer at this location.

Whenever I travel to the States, which is quite often, my first google search is always "where is my nearest Macy's" as this department store has everything you could ask for in apparel at affordable prices and more often than not, discounted rates!

Whether you're looking for men, women or kids clothing, Macy's really does have it all. From smart to casual, there are dedication floors and concessions which are sure to please all tastes.

Sports and athletic fans will be pleased to find a dedicated section for casual and performance needs, including an unmatched selection of footwear supporting all the major brands you could hope for.

For those in search of some ultra swagger smart clothes without breaking the bank, I'm certain that once again Macy's will not let you down. From suits to fine dining to prep wear, this really is the one stop affordable shop for smart wear. Similarly to the sports section, there is a dedicated smart shoe section and almost always a selection of fine shoes on the discount rack for those in need of a bargain.

With its own Starbucks Coffee in-store, you have a great opportunity for some down time, caffeine, sweets and snacks and perhaps even a light lunch before heading back to your shopping, without the disturbance of having to leave the store for refreshments.

For international shoppers like me, be sure to take your identification documentation with you, and be sure to let your server know, as this will qualify you for the international discount!!
In plain English, rather than pay more than what the ticket says (due to hidden tax) you will actually pay LESS than the ticket says. (Some imported concessions such as Hugo Boss will not entertain the international discount. Be sure to ask before heading to the register if your purchase qualifies).

Once again, thank you Macy's for this fine touch to your already fine store, making the shopping experience so much more enjoyable knowing that everything is at a discount.

The service at this store is some of the finest I've encountered and typically speaking, I've never had a bad experience with service in any Macy's store.

Large store with a Toys R US and a food court in the basement

Huge Mall close to Union Square with huge store with a great collection of clothing & cosmetics. Good place to stop by for some quick shopping. Also has Starbucks & Subway very nearby to catch a quick break for a snack bite. Can get crowded being near Union Square & has only few escalators so mobility within the complex can get slow.
