Downtown Grocery Market

Downtown Grocery on Eddy St. (between Jones and Taylor St). is my #1 choice of grocery stores in my area. I shop there just about every day.They have everything you need. But what I like the most and is a game changer for me is and overall niceness. I highly recommend this store to everyone. the employees very, very nice people who treat their customers with respect, greeting when you walk through the door and well wishes when you leave. I literally only come to the tenderloin to visit this store. It has the best prices by far compared to its neighbors. On top of that they have MY FAVORITE CAPUCHINO ITS ITS FULLY STOCKED DAILY! They NEVER run out. I can’t help but visit 3 to 4 times a week for one. Along with the kindest service you’re missing out if you haven’t visited this diamond in the rough.

BEST MUNCHIE STORE IN THE TENDERLOINS!!!!! One of the only stores in the tenderloin that don’t sell alcohol and tobacco they also look out for the community and the store is very clean and they stay with all the snacks and munchies 10/10⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The proprietor and employees are super helpful and affable. I visit this store often and am always impressed with how clean and well stocked the store is. Also they went as far as ordering a certain product once I asked about it. Downtown Grocery is a step above any local corner store with its customer service and products!

I've been with this grocery family since they were on 6th Street they moved over to Eddy Street and I moved to Eddy Street shortly after I'm so glad to be able to do my small store business with them they have the best snacks at the best prices and if you're looking for a great deal on hoodies do-rags phone accessories and everything in between they have it. They also have the biggest selection of ice cream in the area but aside from all of that if it wasn't for the friendly welcoming they all provide from tall to small, then they'd be just one of the others but the warmness you get makes you feel like one of their own. I can't believe I forgot to mention the slushy machine! This store also has the best slush flavors around they are sweet and tart balanced perfectly I mean how could you beat the best flavors at the best prices! I hardly ever leave without one!

I stored my luggage here through a third party app and from start to finish the experience was lovely! Everyone was super friendly and accomodating, even letting me use their phone hotspot when I needed to access internet. Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely LOVE that we live near Downtown Grocery Market!! Not only do they have all of the items that we need, the service there is exceptional!
My day always seems to be better after encountering one of the guys there at the store! They are seriously AWESOME! I definitely suggest that you go there for your basic needs and getting some good energy while your"e at it!

THE BEST SERVICE EVER!!! Always has a fabulous diverse snack and candy selection. Big Now and Laters fan and they have countless flavor offerings. Truly love this store and one of a kind SF gem!! They want to impact our community here in the TL positivity the reason they do not sell alcohol. Excelente service. I have no money to waste so I have looked at this rather closely the prices are lower than others.

I work downtown tenderloin everytime i have lunch I stop by downtown grocery and Mo is in the store his very nice,his very respectful,he has good customer service stills his food is fresh the store is clean I really like how they keeping up with the store. Get my support anytime ✊🏾💯🫡

The staff go above and beyond to take care of loyal customers. If they don't have something you want the owner will personally go get your item from the distributor himself. This is the only store in my neighborhood I do food shopping at. I would give 10 stars if possible.

Very friendly staff. Used to be the yellow awning store on 6th street before they moved to the present location.

Stand up dudes at this shop, I left my debit card in the machine at the register and it was saved and returned promptly when I called. On top of that, it's by far one of my favorite shops downtown. Good people, products and snacks. This coming from a 5th generation San Franciscan speaks volumes to the credibility of this shop and these guys. Highly recommend stoppin by if you're in the area. I have been shopping with these guys since they used to be on 6th Street. Bcuz their prices are unbeatable and the customer service is stellar. Any time I have wanted a certain product, if they didn't have it already, they would order it. Downtown Grocery nails it in every category; price, selection, service, convenience...shopping anywhere else is a waste of time and money.

Great selection of munchies and other products. They are a family ran store and their prices are not crazy high. I used to live down the street from them after moving out of the neighborhood two years ago I still come here.

i love this neighborhood market!
my dog REALLY loves it, because she gets treats from the owner. they are ALWAYS super friendly here and always have exactly what we need. they have a fantastic candy selection, great cereal section and a slushy machine! Also, I can always get a replacement phone charger at a great price.

Wonderful staff always friendly and helpful! They have such amazing selections of all the different products they have the space to carry...Please give them a try if you are near by! You will be pleasantly surprised!
