Shadow and I love this park! It's our go to space when we visit SF. It's clean with plenty of dogs and nice people.

The small dog park is huge, so Shadow always gets a good workout there.

Large, enclosed, dog run. Surface is mostly sand, with some cement and artificial grass. Great for throwing ball for your pup. Heavily used but clean and well-kept. Always a frien’ or two and sometimes dozens. Popular with dog sitters & dog walkers. Only complaint is water fountain. It takes a long time to get a bowl filled up.

I took my dog George here as part of our cross country road trip. I’m trying to get him to a dog park in each state and plan on taking a trip with him each year. This was easily one of our top spots and he had an absolute blast. There is plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. If you live in the area or are just passing through it definitely worth bringing your furbaby to if you have one.

I take my dog here every day. He is a Siberian husky named Leo and he has so much energy. This is the only way that he can get out most of his energy without needing 3 more walks. Another great thing is that you can just sit there while your dog plays. I love this dogpark and I really recommend it. Plus, it was recently remodeled and now looks super nice! There's is a spot for both small dogs and big dogs.

Great dog park. One of our dog's favorite places to visit. We love that there are two separate fenced-in areas, so the small dogs can play separate from the big dogs. Consistently clean. Generally a good crowd of respectable dog owners.

The dog park is divided into large and small areas. in a large area, dogs can run for fun and get tired quickly, if you need to exhaust the dog, this is a great option!) there are also bowls of water, poop bags and large trash cans. Also there is a good gate from a large zone to a small one.

This FENCED fake grass/ sand dog park is amazing, new and clean!
Newly renovated with ample of parking.

I brought my 12 lbs dog here and I feel safe for him to play in the area. Big enough for small and big dogs to run around.

There is an area also just for small dog.
There are dog walkers to bring lots of dogs around 11-12. I would avoid this time if your dog is timid.

This is an amazing renovation of a huge Dog Park inside of Golden Gate Park at 36th avenue. It has lots of amenities including sand, concrete and artificial turf. Even some natural agility training on some logs.

I love this park compare what it was to several years ago. I love the fact that they do have two sections one for small dogs and another side for larger dogs. Although the park not divided equally it is still large enough for smaller dogs to have fun. And yes they have tons of dog walkers but they are friendly. My dog and I when we visit we stay here for several hours. Also they do maintain the park really often so it’s fairly clean. I usually go in the morning when I do visit and there a nice group of regulars in the morning. I heard it does it busy in the afternoon as well.

What a great place among all the majestic trees. It's a clean area with tree logs and sand, but the small dog park had no poop bags. Went around 3 on a Wednesday and there were about 12 little dogs. The big dog park had about 20 dogs running all over.
Update: I've been here about a dozen times now and have noticed that big dogs come to the small dog park. My little 9 lb dog isn't afraid of the big dogs and tries to challenge them when they come near me. I'm afraid she'll get bit one day. So just be aware.

Great open sand space for dogs! There's a large dog area, as seen in the picture, and a small dog area to the right. Both areas are very large, so if your dog likes to run large distances, this park is perfect! The sand is a bonus if your dog loves the sand, as mine does! Parking is also good, but it can be difficult during peak hours. This is my new #1 choice when I want to tire out my dogs! It's a great place for zooming out - so if your dog is prone to zoomies, come here to help them get it out!

Great dog park with a variety of dogs and responsible owners. One told me on weekdays there are a lot of dog walkers resulting in crowded and possibly unfriendly environment, usually starting from 9am to afternoon, it dies down a bit after 4 or 5. The rest of time it is occupied mostly by dog owners, early mornings and evenings on weekdays or the entire weekends.

Parking was a bit hard to find. If you are on Fulton, come through 36th Street and go pass the senior center all the way till the end.

I've been going to this dog park for many years. They remodeled the dog area and it's great. They have two areas that are fenced. One is for small dogs and the other for bigger dogs. Instead of using grass that eventually gets fox tails growing and can hurt your pet they used sand. It's easier to keep clean and it doesn't harm the dogs paws when they run. It's a big enough area for the dogs to run and play together. Even the small dog area is a good size. Everyone is polite and will stop a dog fight if one happens. The dogs are well behaved for the most part. There is water and bowls for them to drink. I like the people who go there as well. They are friendly and polite. My dogs had a good time. They have a cement path that goes to the far end of the dog area for those who may have a hard time walking in sand and benches to sit for anyone who needs to. There are entrances in the front and back and one that is in the middle on side that connects both small and large dog areas. The dogs have a good time playing and it's relaxing for humans as well. I recommend this place for people with dogs that get along well with many other dogs. It's usually busy and parking can be a challenge. There is parking farther up as long as you don't mind walking a bit. It's beautiful area next to bison paddock.

My friend has been taking his dog here the past two years and i met up with him yesterday. Very large and spacious, separate enclosures for smaller and bigger dogs is a huge plus. Surrounded by trees, very pleasant atmosphere. Also this is right next to Bison Paddock - what cool creatures!!

A really cute dog park with lots of room and really well maintained. Our dog enjoyed playing in the sand. We would definitely come back to visit.

Newly updated. Love the designated areas for big and small dogs. So far have only met amazing people and pups there. Parking can be a bit of a struggle, be ok with walking your pup a few extra yards.

The best dog park for my silly, clumsy pup. Fully gated so I don't have to keep a *super* close watch, and plenty of things to climb on (big wooden stumps, ramps, etc).

A quiet, family-friendly area located on the western half of Golden Gate Park, this cozy spot off of Fulton Street and 36th avenue is ideal for those times when a dog just wants to have fun and get some much needed exercise. Alone - or in groups - your dog is sure to enjoy exploring nature at her best.
