Safeway

This is one of MY FAVORITE SAFEWAY locations when I am leaving OCEAN BEACH & am in NEED of purchasing simple ingredients for a lite snack or meal on my way home.

They AMAZINGLY have EVERYTHING on my list EVERY TIME I shop there...Considering the store is always full with people.

I am so HAPPY that they added self checkout. When I moved here years ago, they did not have that. I do not frequently shop at this location unless I am in the area, but I HAVE NEVER had an issue there.

This store is not the closest to my house but it has an in-store bakery. So sometimes worth the trip. Also , it's near the ocean and yesterday was a beautiful day!

Great. This is the neighborhood grocery store we go to every time we visit this area. They had everything we needed. There is awesome security, but we never feel worried about our safety.and the staff are so polite and professional. Take your own bags or be prepared to pay 25 cents for the bags that are provided. Don’t get me wrong… they are worth it! We will reuse them for a very long time.

Jan 14, 2023- picked up a 3 piece floral order for a baby shower luncheon and was very pleased with the arrangements!! Lyn and Winnie did a very nice job and within my budget..👏..will be coming back whenever I have another event needing flowers..

Large parking lot for cars. Close to the beach. Lots of organic vegetables and fruits. Huge snack aisle with cold drinks. Large bakery. Deli has hot food.

A good supermarket , a huge assortment, fresh products. There are discounts and promotions for various products, but in order to use them, you need to ask at the checkout to register you in the store's club program, you only need to enter your phone number, it's very simple, convenient and free

When I came to San Francisco for a short visit I was missing some good grocery shopping places. So somebody told me about the Safeways I went there it's awesome. Everything here is fresh very well range the shelves are stacked. Fruits vegetable meat everything is the top quality here. Full five stars I recommend this place to anybody visiting or staying in the area

I love a Safeway that is safe . This one was . The while time I was there this guy was standing outside proficient with his pontification of a plethora of prophetic phonetics it was apoplectic.

I will always have a soft spot for this Safeway. It was reliably at the end of the 5 Fulton Muni bus line direct from USF's Hayes Healy female only dorm when I 1st moved and resided there when I arrived here with a partial scholarship back in 1996.

I can always rely upon them to be the port in the eye of the storm when hungry thirsty unprepared at the ⛱. Thank you for remaining open all these years to a girl on the move constantly on the go with no where specifically to land.

Easily the largest Safeway around the Richmond district with a gigantic packing lot; however, watch out for their parking spaces as they tend to run small for your bigger sedans and SUVs.

Nicely put together, huge selection store. Self checkout lines are cool but can make you anxious if other people are waiting. The staff runs around trying to help everyone. They have a few guards on patrol to stop shoplifting.

A nice-sized grocery store with reasonable prices and a wide selection of national brands. I liked the good-sized parking lot to make shopping easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was happy to quickly get a full-weeks worth of groceries for 2 for less than $150.

This is one of the nicer Safeways in all San francisco. It's not massive, but it has a good selection of items and stays open relatively late. however, there is something to be said about the fact that almost every item in the store is in some kind of locked shelving or case. Apparently there was so much theft that the entirety of the stock had to be locked down to avoid the store's closure. That can get pretty annoying, especially if you're shopping for quite a few different items at once.

Overall, its pretty nice though. Plus, it's right by the beach, so you can come here and grab some snacks and go right out on the sand if you'd like. Not too shabby.

Safeway is the best and I love it - I got a big bag of candy for work from the clearance rack. They always have great deals on sale items. It's one of a few bathrooms near the beach so there is that but it's a good Safeway yes

I shop at this store pretty regularly, and they always have what I need. I've never had any service issues, and the staff are always friendly. Great place to shop for groceries if you're in the neighborhood!

Friendly checker named Jessica who told me about a service that will cook your Turkey for you for $18! I don't remember where, but sounds awesome!

Update: I enjoy going to this Safeway, because the produce is always fresh.
