Had to find someone last minute to fix the brakes on the wifes car. Wanted to stay local.

They were able to get us in the same day to at least get it checked out. Provided a very detailed description of what the issue was and how it could have occurred. Talked through the estimate and work required as well as the time line.

They completed all work on time and we were able to get updates on the car through out the day. The pick up process was straight forward and simple. We got the car back and everything is working great!

Awesome shop and we'll be back if we need any more work done on the cars!

I took my Honda Accord there for a pre-purchase inspection and the service was above and beyond. Everything was perfect, from the receptionist welcoming, the time the service took, explaining what needs to be done, and the pricing was affordable. What can I say they’re amazing! I would definitely recommend them!

I couldn’t say enough positive things about Willard Garage. They were willing to help me out and worked with my schedule. They did a thorough check on my vehicle and I had bigger issue than what I had thought was wrong. They counseled me through it and helped me make the best decision on moving forward. I haven’t received this kind of service since moving out of my small town. They really care about their customers and have the best customer service I’ve experienced in the whole Des Moines area.

When I needed scheduled maintenence for my BMW I wanted a shop that cared about each vehicle as it was their own(a big ask these days) and would provid dealership level quality. Enter Willard Garage. The communication was outstanding, the services were completed accurately and I saved a few dollars as well! Highly recommend!

Best garage repair shop I've had the pleasure of dealing with. For years my car was plagued with the check engine indicator light. Took it to numerous dealerships and other garages, and NONE of them fixed the root of the problem and it just came back on after a few days/weeks/months. Brian was able to fix it correctly the first time, and no check engine indicator light since then (more than 3 years ago!)
The rate is not cheap as it is in line with most dealerships, but your vehicle will be fixed as you would expect from a dealership! Please bring your vehicle to Willard garage instead of a dealership! Willard Garage will treat you well, and you won't be disappointed!

I absolutely love this small family run business. They are honest and dedicated to their customers. Even though they were short staffed during my car repairs, the owner himself took time out of his busy schedule to shuttle me back and forth. I've barely put work into my car over the years aside from regular oil changes, so of course 12 years later, there are some repairs coming up due. Willard Garage is wonderful at showing and explaining the repairs and providing an itemized list by priority. I've worked with them the last two years and had many services and repairs completed. Willard replaced tires, shocks, and brakes that were put on incorrectly (and therefore worn prematurely) by a different location. They were honest in what needed to be done and why. Our vehicle is driving better than it has in the past few years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Willard to my friends and family.

The staff at Willard Garage make you feel like you are walking into your dads mechanic shop back home! They are a wonderful group of people to work with.

Over the three years we lived in the area, we used Willard’s a number of times for our three vehicles. They are the most honest shop we found in the Des Moines area!

They took their time to call and explain the issues, ways to fix it, and cost of parts and labor. We needed extensive work done on one vehicle... they assessed it, printed out and prioritized work that needed to be done and let us know what things needed to be fixed for safety reasons and the others that could wait.

I’m new to the area and my car was running awful. I called about six different repair shops for pricing on a diagnostic. Everywhere was around the same price. So I based my decision to try Willard’s on pricing, reviews and the fact they were the only ones who could get me in that day.

Peggy was super awesome, friendly and helpful. She even remembered who I was when I called back to make an appointment. We dropped my car off that day. Within a few hours I got a call with why my car wasn’t idling correctly and a few other major things that needed to be done.

Even though I had never been there, nor known anyone who has, I had them go ahead and fix the first major problem. I got a call that it was running great and took the chance and has them do the rest.

IT WAS A GREAT CHOICE! They had my car a few days and did a few different things. They understood that I had a budget so they told me what was most important to least important, informed me as to what potentially happen if something went wrong, they had prices for every scenario of what we fixed and the mechanic (Nate, I believe) told me the truth and even what he would do if it was his car.

I got my car back, it runs amazing now, the inside of my car was clean and the work all seems very well done. They even kept a broken part so they could show me what and why it needed replaced. The shop inside and out is clean, the staff is friendly and personable, the work was fast and guaranteed for two years and the grand total ended up being less than they estimated.

I will be taking my car in there in the future for my car needs along with my mom who went through the whole process with me. I highly recommend them!

Came in for an oil change and inspection. Everyone was super kind and helpful! The tech, Richie, showed me something of concern on my truck and quoted me a price - he was honest about the low severity and didn’t pressure me at all to have him fix it. I would trust them with any maintenance or repair and will certainly be back!

This place is awesome! My experience with Willard Garage was 5 stars in all of the ways that matter. FAST!!!!! profesional, reasonable on cost and extremely nice! I have an old Jeep Liberty… I am sure I will be back there soon.

Willard Garage will be the auto shop I use as long as I'm in the Waukee area. I'm very happy with the service I received.

The price of my repair was in line with everything I found online, so it's good to know I got a fair price. What makes Willard Garage my auto shop of choice from now on, though, is their speed and their service. I had my vehicle back in less than 24 hours, and every single person I interacted with was extremely pleasant both on the phone and in person.

Willard Garage scheduled my appointment for times that worked with my schedule and provided me with a loaner car. I received text communication during my service and when the service was completed which was so helpful to plan around my schedule. Service was fast and good quality. Highly recommend!

My experience was perfect with Willard Garage! Customer service was top notch. I was able to make a next day appointment, the mechanic called me with what my car needed, he shared pricing with me and then my car was ready to be picked up in no time! I thought the pricing was very fair, too. I usually like to work on my car myself to save money, but I will definitely going back again because Willard Garage is worth it!

Came in mid road trip with a wobble/suspension/tire issue and they fit me in. Brian took my vehicle for a test drive and gave me an honest opinion. He rotated and balanced my tires, and corrected an improperly mounted tire (that was just replaced 1 week ago.) Both Brian and Peggy were phenomenal, and made it so I could continue my trip safely. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! I couldn't recommend them more!

Excellent service, will definitely use them for all my car’s service needs. Listened to all my concerns and investigated each throughly resulting in two ongoing problems that drove me nuts finally being fixed for good! Yea! This is the first review I have ever left anywhere and it is because it is worth it. Willard Garage has helped me out in two separate instances, one of which I was looking for a same day repair and they were able to fit me in even though I was a first time customer. Brian and Peggy are very friendly and upfront about everything when it comes to the work needing to be done on your vehicle. I appreciate their help and look forward to having them work on vehicles in the future.

The team took care of my catalytic problem. Offered me choices and even offered a loaner vehicle to me since it was so close to the new year and may have not had my vehicle ready. They did fix it ahead of schedule, even overnighting the part to get it fixed. I got my vehicle back and it feels good to have it running smoothly again. Appreciate the extra effort.

I had been driving my car downtown for maintenance services and wanted to find a good place to take my car that was closer to home. I’ve definitely found it! Willard’s has great customer service from the girl on the phone who scheduled me all the way to the service technician that came out and talked to me about my car. I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here!
