We were introduced to PJ through another ski racer’s parent. Scheduled a visit with him while there for break. We had an amazing experience. My daughter was perfectly fit into new race boots and now has an amazing product. Her control and skiing have improved with race podium results achieved right away to back it up. We plan to return with our other daughter, as well, before next season for boots and equipment upgrades. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I hadn't been able to ski in over a decade due to immense pain in my feet when doing certain activities (skiing caused the most pain). I had multiple surgeries, saw multiple specialists, no one could figure out what was wrong. I had basically given up on ever skiing again. I heard about PJ at Race Stock Sports and gave it a try as a last effort to try and continue doing the sport I love. I'm so glad I did - after going over my concerns, PJ listened and understood exactly what I needed. After only a few hours in the shop, he had me in a pair of boots. I couldn't believe how comfortable they were. PJ listened and made adjustments exactly where my unique feet needed them, and I haven't had an issue since. He was knowledgable, creative, and committed to creating boots that would work for me. Can't thank him enough and would 1000/10 recommend to anyone - worth the drive!

I’d like to thank Ryan for his exceptional knowledge & service. I drove 2.5 hours to see these guys for custom fitted boots. Ryan sized me up and had me in custom insole boots in no time. Explaining the process and educating me the whole way through. In talking about the most recent technology, we got talking about skis.
With Ryan’s knowledge and zero pressure he had me convinced that if I were truly going to enjoy skiing again, these were the different skis for my style and the typical terrain I ski.
Again, no pressure at all, just knowledge and educating me on the different skis.
We picked out the skis and a binding that suited me well. Within about 2 hours I walked out with a full set up and custom fitted boots.
Hats off to Ryan and PJ for their expertise and laid back personality. You’ve earned a customer for life, and I will be spreading the word. This is from a guy who was ready to give up the sport due to not finding boots that didn’t hurt his feet.

They did my boots. I took my daughter back for hers. And PJ found us Stöcklis we couldn't find anywhere else. This shop is just no nonsense, what you need, good people doing it right. My go to shop even if they're several hours away.

I have had four plug type race boots built by RSS. It's an amazing process to transform an unwearable plug boot into a comfortable high performance tool. These types of boots can't be tried on and require trust and commitment from the customer. The "boot fitting" of regular ski shops pales in comparison.

Wow! This was the best find ever. PJ and his team were spectacular. I would rather drive 6.5 hours to buy from Race Stock Sports and know I’m getting the right gear than buy anywhere else. I’m going to be a customer for life.

Race Stock is popular for a reason. They take their time with your boots and make sure they fit well. It may take a while, you will not be in and out, but it is worth it!!

This store is a little hard to find, but perhaps the best ski shop in/around the Mad River Valley. It's not just a racing shop, and they have a well curated set of skis, boots, socks, bags, goggles etc. Most notably, they seem to know boot fitting extremely well, and are happy to generously answer any questions objectively from their own extensive experiences with gear. No hard selling here, and that goes a long way.

PJ did an excellent job! Got new boots, custom orthotics/footbeds, binding adjust all for a fair price. The real reason to go is not the deals but because of how experienced PJ is. I've been skiing a long time but only recently started investing in better quality gear. PJ helped me find the boots I needed and machined them to be way more comfortable. Plus if I ever need adjustments in the future I can just come back!

This is the place to buy ski racing gear and backcountry ski gear and PJ Dewey is the absolute dude to make your ski boots fit your feet; absolutely worth the drive to let him work his magic.

Can’t recommend enough. Ryan has set me up with two boots for touring and resort. The level of attention and knowledge they have is unmatched.

I'm a ski instructor and this is a this true story. Friday I got new boots and Saturday I skied on them and they were amazing and comfortable. That says it all eh? Its wonderful to have someone like PJ that knows what they are doing!
