Great casual dinner spot you should try. We were there after first day of skiing. Great beer selection and impressive menu selection (I usually feel skeptical about restaurants in touristic area). They also have top notched staffs…!! Not lousy ambience so that my bad hearing still got what my company said. Def we will go back when revisit stowe next time.

Excellent brewery after a day of skiing. I love the ski lodge vibe. The atmosphere is very cozy and there is a big fire right in the middle of the restaurant. The chicken pot pie soup and brews are delicious.

We ate here during a day trip to Stowe. We arrived around 1pm and had to wait 45 minutes for a table. It was worth the wait, though. The back patio had amazing ambiance. The ‘cactus juice’ margarita and idletyme burger was delicious. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at Idletyme, from the warm greeting by the host, to the so cosy bar area complete with roaring fire and the super friendly and helpful Nick and Tyler who steered us well on the beer choices and food. Relaxed, friendly, good food and drinks....(I dont like beer but actually found one I liked (a first!!). Highly recommend!

A very nice place for lunch even for non-drinkers like us. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I especially enjoyed the brussel sprouts. The fish and chips was delicious too.

Great experience! The menu is very vegetarian friendly, but there aren’t any obviously vegan/DF options. Our server Dave was very kind, attentive, and helpful in providing alternatives for the people in our dining party with dietary restrictions.

Good ambience and a wonderful menu to choose from. Tried their beer flight, wings and idletyme burger. They were top notch!

If you are in and around stowe, this is a must try.

Would recommend to reserve a table before heading out. Not sure on the weekdays but weekends surely it gets busy!

The Idletyme Burger is amazing. The service was great and they have an amazing smoked lager. The chili was spicy and just what we needed. We will definitely be returning.

Awesome outdoor patio area! We got the Brewski Sampler to try a few of their beers - I was super excited for the stout but it was probably my least favorite. However, the Helles Brook and Fest Marzen were delish! We also got the VT Whiskey Sour which was easily one of my favorite drinks we had at any restaurant in the area. For food - the Vermont Cheddar Fritters were incredible! I had the salmon which was good but veggies were super bland, and my husband had the fish and chips which were also incredible. Loved the atmosphere and environment and would definitely come back!

Came here for drinks and apps. Got the brewski flight platter and the poutine.

The poutine was good and the beer was excellent. Loved all 6 beers. All very easy drinking and was hard to find a favorite. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in town.

Been here a couple of times. It gets busy and there's no res, but the place is big and if you time it right you'll be fine. Extensive liquor selection and draft beers. Food is on point. Specialty drinks seem to be pricey, but you're paying for the ambiance and location. Outside back there's a fire pit, inside two separate bars and separate dining locations. Kid friendly. Worth at least one visit on a trip.

Idletyme Brewing Company is easily one of the best restaurants in the Stowe area. It’s a gastropub that serves not only great drinks, but incredible food! We come for the food and we are always very happy by the time we’re finished. Everything from the Giant Bavarian Pretzel, French Onion Soup, Reuben, to the famous Idletyme Burger are wonderful. You can’t go wrong with choices like their Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, Vermont Cheddar Fritters, Blackberry Salad, or Pub Steak as well!! The atmosphere is great, there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the service is always good. We’ve been here quite a few times and have never left disappointed.

They even have many gluten-free options (such as gluten-free French onion soup, burgers, reuben sandwich, and many more choices) and a wonderful thing they do is put a label with every allergy-sensitive ingredient they use in each dish. You’ll see a 1,2,4,6,9 next to the name, and there’s a key at the bottom of the menu that says “1 = egg, 2 = wheat, 4 = dairy…” you get the idea. I wish more places were like that!!

Get the pretzel. Very warm and family friendly atmosphere. Chicken wings were good, pretzel with mustard and beer cheese was excellent. Beer and cocktail selection were good. Service was great.

Second time here, second year visiting. This place has the BEST food and drinks in this town!!! Had the nicest server, Taylor!!! He has great recommendations and I can't wait to book my stay in stowe so I can walk back to this restaurant. I would give more than 5 stars, for sure!

Went here on a whim to kill time in between our adventures. Atmosphere was super cool, we sat inside to keep our chocolates cool from our shopping. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. I got a cider because I don't care for beer, there was a wide variety for everyone's tastes. The menu was one of the best brewery menus I've seen, we ordered a couple apps and just killed time and enjoyed each other's company. I'd definitely go back it was a great gem to find.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vermont for the first time. My boyfriend and I were staying in Stowe and were looking for a cute place to grab some dinner and decided on Idletyme, an exceptional outside brewery restaurant, it was an experience that exceeded all expectation! From the moment we arrived, my boyfriend and I were blown away by the exceptional service, delectable cuisine, and unrivaled atmosphere.

We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer, and they were really good! We split the fish and chips as our entree and it was also very flavorful and delicious!

Phenomenal experience. The service (our server Heather) was awesome! The food was incredible, good portions, fresh, and excellent quality food. You need to make reservations a day ahead of time on the website. Well worth the wait!

The food was amazing, the drinks were great, and the waiter who was working on Saturday at 2:00pm was super cute! ;)
