Green Mountain Inn

Great place in historic, quaint village, not on the busier strip up the mountain but still close to slopes. Great restaurants, bars and shops all within very short walking distance. Variety of rooms from modest, luxury or historic. Heated outdoor winter pool, hot tubs indoors and outside. Our go-to for years, never disappoints.

Wonderful room! The bed was the good kind of firm/ supportive I had no back pain the next day! Linens were crisp, and there was a good variety of pillow types. The room was very clean. There is only one complaint, and it's more of a nit pick than anything. The shower head was not in the greatest position and wasn't adjustable. But with a jacuzzi in the room, it didn't really matter. The fireplace was warm, and I could have spent hours just sitting in front of it. The inn is in a stellar location. Also, the lunch we had at the whip was delicious. I loved the Ruben, which they made with Turkey instead of corned beef by request for me it was cooked perfectly and was really tasty, and the french fries were hot crunchy and fresh. Last but not least, all staff members we interacted with were lovely 😊 We will return soon.

I loved my stay at the Green Mountain Inn! To start with, there was plenty of parking in the lot off of the main street. The location is amazing with lots of shops and restaurants all along main street. Our room was spotless and felt extremely clean. I also loved the faux fireplace in the room as that made it extra cozy! The beds were also very comfortable. We loved hanging out in the social room with the fire place and playing games. One of the biggest highlights though was the service. We had amazing service from all employees, but I specifically want to mention Shannon. Shannon was so warm and welcoming to us and offered us suggestions on things to do, restaurants to visit, and overall just made our visit go from A+ to A++! I look forward to coming back to the Green Mountain Inn in the future!

We adore it here. Go every year for our anniversary. The staff is the best, they are so accommodating. The rooms are gorgeous and food is to die for. Everything here is honestly top notch especially for the price

Absolutely superb place to stay! Received a very warm welcome on arrival even though we were early and were able to check in straight away.
Beautiful, traditional inn with lovely comfy, clean rooms.
Our room overlooked the pool area and it had some seats outside on the balcony.
We all loved the pool area. A great place to swim, relax, have a drink or snack in the sunshine.
We loved the complimentary cookies, brownies, lemonade and tea at 4pm.
The fire pit in the evening was lovely and our children loved having s'mores.
We had a breakfast one day and the food was delicious.
Service throughout was great and everyone working there seemed happy and enjoying their job.
What a great place to stay! Many of the other people we spoke to were repeat customers and no wonder why! Thanks for a great stay.

Kendra and the Green Mountain Inn team knocked our wedding day out of the park. The food, the accommodations, the staff, and the wedding rooms were all excellent. We had to pivot our original outdoor ceremony plan to an indoor ceremony due to rain and the logistics behind that last minute change were handled beautifully. If you plan to have a small to medium sized wedding in Stowe, you will not go wrong with this venue. The team will work tirelessly to make your event beautiful. Thank you, GMI! We can't wait to stay onsite again in the coming years.

Green Mountain Inn in Stowe, VT. In the middle of Stowe, this inn has been there since the 1800’s. Such a convenient location to get to Cabot Creamery, Stowe mountain for hiking or skiing, or just walking around the small town. The inn has multiple buildings and is next door to Stowe Mercantile and other shops. This does “feel” more like a typical upscale hotel, but we didn’t mind. While breakfast is not included in the accommodations, they offer many options in their main floor restaurant. There is a restaurant onsite as well, Whip. We didn’t eat there, but ventured out for food elsewhere.

What distinguishes the inn are the amenities that are included in the room price. I recommend adding an extra day to the trip just to hang at the inn - sauna, gym, pool in winter, outdoor hot tub, indoor Jacuzzi, fire pits, etc. And the beds! Make time for a nap.....

Absolutely beautiful and comfortable rooms. The decor in the rooms is perfect. We had a deluxe room with fireplace and jacuzzi tub and it did not disappoint. The hotel feels more like a comfy home bed and breakfast. The country breakfast each morning was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I will be back again

Quaint inn right in the heart of Stowe, VT. Easy access to everything, and there are plenty of restaurants and lots of shopping nearby. The rooms are nice and cozy, the staff is friendly and pleasant, the heated pool is great, and there are also 2 popular restaurants and massage places inside the complex. Would be happy to come back again!

The location was great. Easy Check in and out. The room was clean. Gas fireplace worked pretty good.

The Luxury room with a King size canopy bed in the main building was lovely and spacious.
Laura at reception is delightful, and her genuine desire to want to make guests happy is what made this review grow from a 4 star to a 5 star. The Inn is lucky to have Laura as not all the reception staff will make great efforts to accommodate.

The breakfast was very good.

Where the coffee station is, it would be nice to add hot chocolate and various teas like most hot beverage stations offer rather than just coffee and black tea.

We will be back.

My family and I have been coming to the Green Mountain Inn for years and have never had a bad experience. I recently left a prized possession that I have had since I was a baby at the hotel. The staff at the Inn were quick to respond to the situation putting out a notice that it had been lost and alerting all the housekeepers. Within 12 hours we were alerted that it had been found and were sent a picture! I honestly cannot thank the staff enough for all of their help and how fast they were able to find it.

The rooms were clean along with all of the other facilities including the pool. The staff greeted us with a smile everyday and brought up some chocolate for our return to the Inn.

The town and location is perfect for a weekend get away. With a restaurant in the hotel and shops right next door there is never a dull moment.

I want to thank the housekeeping staff, Erin and Harrison for getting my possession back to me. Could not recommend this place more even if it’s just a quick stop at the Whip Restaurant!

We visited the restaurant for breakfast and definitely was not disappointed. I can't speak about the rooms other than to say I was so impressed with the restaurant that I want to stay there next time I'm in Stowe.

My fiancée and I drove up from NY on 7/8 and were a late arrival. Megan at the front desk was wonderful checking us in. We had a king room with jacuzzi tub, and it was very spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated. There was one minor hiccup with the room ( so minor, it’s not worth mentioning), so I went back to the front desk to take care of it . As I was explaining what I needed, apparently one of the owners overheard me. This man was tired, jet lagged and hungry ( he was trying to eat a sandwich), but he jumped into action. I have never been made to feel as welcomed, or as valued as a guest in a hotel as I was that evening. It set the stage for a wonderful stay. I can’t wait to go back.

We celebrated our friends Walter's 83rd bday, I had the peppercorn steak, my hubby and our friend Florence had the rainbow trout, and Walter had the seafood diavolo! 😋 superb!

Oh yeah, the Maker's Mark Maple 🍁 Manhattan was to die for.

Lovely New England style inn right on Main Street in Stowe. The location is great for all the shops, trail heads, and other attractions in the area.

Staff and service was fantastic during our stay, worth staying here just for them, but the amenities on property are also great. Excellent experience and would return when in Stowe!

Nice evening cookies and wine on Thursdays. Hot tub (indoor and outdoor) helped with the sure muscles, and the outdoor pool was heated enough to enjoy also. Great location at the center of town, and close to the bus stop for skiing. Rooms were ok and clean, but not spacious.
