The entrance was a little sketchy lol kinda “scary movie entry way” setting! But the people were super friendly and attentive! The food was amazing! All three things we tried were not disappointing at all! I def recommend. We had the lunch menu. New England Corn Chowder, Maple Buffalo Wings (you can request all flats) and Maple Crème Brûlée!!

Second time visiting this bar, and it continues to be one of my favorite places to dine. The food, ambiance, and service are consistently excellent, making it a delightful dining experience. I look forward to returning again in the future..

We love the Whip! It's one of our go-to spots for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. The staff is excellent, the food is delicious and the ambiance is warm. After dinner, it's lovely to walk through town before heading home. Definitely recommend making reservations, but you'll likely be able to get a spot at the bar even if the dining room is full.

Loved the pub dark cherrywood decor atmosphere very cozy and comfortable booths. Our server was excellent. The corn chowder was delicious. We had the baked chicken and pork loin dinners both very tasty. Give it a try if you visit Stowe.

I was headed home late for work and decided to get take out. I am so glad I did!! The Whip Burger and Fries were perfection ⭐ I am definitely going back for dine in as the atmosphere was exactly my vibe..low lights, tons of chatter, friendly staff, amazing food!!

The server and all staff where so attentive. The ambience was so relaxing and the food was so delicious. Definitely recommend the pan fried salmon, cooked to perfection.

Excellent customer service. LEIGH (the waitress) was super friendly, polite and excellent manners. The food 5 stars we ordered steaks, mussels and much more and everything was delicious...!!!

We were very lucky to have been able to get a table without a reservation. We were there on a Saturday in July. I'd recommend reserving if in Stowe in peak season. Food was incredible, and service was wonderful. Will most definitely return when we revisit the area.

This is one of Vermont's best places to eat. Everything was cooked perfectly. Staff was fantastic and it was a very cozy setting.

The bar is first come first serve and you can have dinner in bar table but if you want to dine-in, I highly recommend to book in advance to have better experience.

The soup du jour : pumpkin soups with apple cider was sold out so we was a little disappointed but Homemade New England corn chowder soup was delicious. It is no wonder, they serve this soup for more than 30 years.
My husband have a steak au poivre with cognac sauce, one of the best steak we ever had. Tender, juicy and perfectly seasoned.
Otherwise, they sold out of Plat du jour (they called entrée for the main dish) so I ordered a seafood linguine. It was funny to have fish in the dish because I used to have seafood linguine with the crunchy texture (shrimps, squid, mussels). However, I adore the spicy taste of Diavolo sauce.
Also, I expected a nicer presentation of the dish with this price but the old man served us was very nice so I gave a 5 stars.

Whip Bar & Grill was a great choice for a family celebratory dinner. Anthony, our waiter, was excellent and attentive the entire evening. The food and drinks were delicious. Good choice if looking for good food and atmosphere.

We have been to this awesome restaurant twice and both times have been just fabulous. We order the charcuterie board as the appetizer because it is to die for and we get the filet mignon which just melts in your mouth. Both times the food has been crazy on point. Yes, it’s expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.

Not sure why there are so many awful reviews, I guess rich people are quite picky. We stopped in for dinner and were not disappointed. Although we didn’t have reservations, we were able to get right in just before the rush. We got a table by the bar and our server had been working there only two days but he was an absolute delight. We ordered the mussels and corn chowder for our apps both of which were phenomenal. We were served fresh-baked bread with these which only added to our delight. I got the curry for dinner and my mother got the filet mignon. Although the curry was definitely a more American version, it had great flavor and I had enough to take home at the end of the meal. My mother’s filet was cooked to perfection without an ounce of fat. Our server was attentive, fun, and friendly which made the experience even better. Although it was pricey, we had an overall great experience.

What an amazing place! The atmosphere was wonderful! The food was delicious and the service was awesome! This is a historical restaurant/hotel it even has a ghost story of a woman who dances in the hall. Very interesting!

Amazing food, quick courteous service. We told the waitress we were attempting to make a movie after and she was prompt without being rude or affecting the wonderful service! She suggested the swordfish special and was absolutely right! Yum!

I was recently in town for the Vermont 10 Miler running race and A local woman recommended The Whip for a good meal. my server Jake provided excellent service and I loved my calamari appetizer as well as The traditional turkey dinner. thank you for a memorable dining experience.

Loved our stop here! Had dinner and drinks at the bar. The food was phenomenal. The bartender was fun. My friend and I chatted with other people who were also bellied up to the bar. Great vibe.

Food and server were amazing!
However the host was abrupt and argued with us about our reservation and took us to a table of 6 who were not with us. We were a reservation of 4 and not related to the other people. When we told him he was rude and defensive. But…. That was quickly forgotten as our server was so fun and the food excellent!
