Gotta stop here to take some fuel for the day! I had an espresso (which was one of the greatest shot ever in USA), very creamy with the taste of chocolate and caramel and lightly bitter! Croissant was a poem! So crunchy and buttery ! 🥹love it here!

Such a charming coffee shop! It was busy on a weekend but felt cozy! Love that they have local artisan goods for sale to browse! The oat milk latte was wonderful & my husband LOVED his fully loaded “hot chocolate”! Barista & staff was super friendly & welcoming! This place seems to be popular for a good reason!

The great Cafe Vibe right on Main Street with exceptionally friendly service. Perfect way to start ur day. And the ham + cheese croissant was absolutely delicious!

Came back to Black Cap three times during my visit to Stowe for the maple croissants. They are that good. Chill, laid back vibe with friendly and welcoming staff.

The steamed cider, in the winter, was amazing. The raspberry cheesecake bar was so good! So was the maple croissant

Amazing ambiance, locally opened. I got the ham and cheese croissant which was AMAZING and the Strawberry fields smoothie is to die for

I tried the Tuxedo. It was excellent, with a rich coffee flavor and just the right amount of foam. I had it served hot. The service is fast. There was plenty of seating and the WiFi was fast. I did not have trouble parking, but it looks like parking could sometimes be problematic.

Black Cap Coffee is awesome! It’s definitely a wonderful addition to the beautiful walkable downtown Stowe area. They have the single greatest pastry I’ve ever had in all of Vermont - the churro bun!! Imagine a cinnamon bun, but it’s a churro! Gooey, cinnamon-y, and just pure heaven! You need to try it if they didn’t run out yet when you visit. Not only do they have an extensive list of great baked goods, many are gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian! You can get any of their sandwiches on gluten-free bread, and they also have a wide range of great coffees and teas. Be sure to check their seasonal drinks because they’re some of the best! Such an awesome place!

Fun little coffee shop right across from the historic Stowe church! I got the lavender oatmilk iced latte and it was absolutely wonderful! The ham and cheese croissant was also a beautiful meld of flavors. If you’re visiting Stowe, definitely stop in here.

Great coffee shop in Stowe! I’d recommend the Tuxedo latte and the raspberry oat bar. Both were incredibly delicious. If you drive through Stowe and like coffee this is your stop.

A+++ Service by Cal! On 9/20 my husband spilled all his sweet tea on the table and floor. I waved to an employee and Cal came right over to assess. He said, “Can I get you a replacement drink?” Cal wiped up the table, got my husband a full drink, and then mopped the floor. The other employees were nice as well. I love Avanti greeting cards, so I bought some of those. Lots of room for tables.

Great atmosphere and pleasant staff. This was my go-to for breakfast, my morning caffeine dose, and to do a little work on my laptop. The breakfast sandwiches are pretty good, the pastries solid, and the lattes are great.

Update - I got to watch a baker making pastries today. It was fascinating to watch and they were really pleasant. They told me about the process, what they were making, and how they got into baking. I highly recommend checking it out!

Yummy coffee. It’s always an added thing when it’s a local spot. Cozy inside with friendly staff. My flat white was the best

Honestly I’m a coffee snob and not sure why this place has so many negative reviews. I’m from Washington state so you know we love our coffee! This place had some of the best lattes I have had and the maple croissant is to die for, they sell out fast so get there early! I was on a girls trip for a weekend in Stowe and we went to Black cap daily it was that good!
Only compliant is to get better coffee cup lids, they leaked often, but that didn’t deter me from an amazing maple latte.
Highly recommend!

Coffee and a quiche cost about $20, both are of very good quality and size.

They even have a maple flavored syrup for coffee!

Great food. Kept going back during a short stay. Excellent Americano. Great vegan burrito 👌🏽

Black Cap Coffee and Beer in Stowe, VT is a must-visit for coffee and food lovers. Their cold brew is smooth and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and bitterness. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich is delicious, with crispy bacon, perfectly cooked egg and melted cheese. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Highly recommended!

Celiac Friendly! Gluten free bread and options!
Wonderful coffee shop with many drinks, treats and food. Many sandwiches can be made with gluten free bread and they document if you have celiac so the kitchen is even more careful.

Stopped here mid afternoon and enjoyed an iced Almond Joy coffee, and it was very good. Try this coffee shop, will not disappoint.

My wife and I had a very nice lunch at the Black Cap today. It is leaf peeping season so it is really busy, but the staff was very friendly and efficient. Sandwiches, pastry and coffee were excellent. I wish we had a place like this in my town!
