Hilton Garden Inn West Des Moines

We loved our entire experience at this hotel. From the moment we walked in, every staff member we came into contact with (front desk, restaurant for breakfast, housekeeping, bar area) were friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and beds were comfortable. The pool area is really nice and pool is warm. The young kids area of the pool is separated which is great and safer for everyone. The breakfast was $9.95 for all you can eat buffet. They have pancakes, waffles, French toast, potatoes, eggs, sausages, many different breads, bagels, muffins, a delicious fruit bar, yogurt, oatmeal, juices and of course, coffee (available for anyone at the hotel).
We were there, along with many others, for a sports tournament. The hotel had us sign a notice that the expectation was quiet after 10 pm which was lovely because we didn't listen to kids running up and down the halls all night.
We had great weather so spent one night sitting out on the front patio which was also lovely with plenty of sitting space.
We might go back to West Des Moines, just so we can stay at this beautiful hotel!

Beautiful rooms, wonderful staff....the bartender was such a nice guy... The kitchen staff always had smiles on their faces.... It's right by a lot of stores and bars and the mall... Great location and 10/10 best place to stay!

Absolutely TOP NOTCH!!! I have attended the networking group I belong to on numerous occasions, and each time the food, service, atmosphere, and setting have been way beyond my expectations. The wait staff are attentive, unobtrusive, prompt, and friendly. The food is amazing!!! The setting is clean, and well appointed. Thank you for making each event spectacular!

It was a great room. The heater was messed up, but I didn't notice it until late so I googled it and I was able to fix it myself

Extremely clean and quiet hotel.
large pool, spa, nice gym, very clean, well stocked with towels, pools had crystal clear water. This place is very well maintained everything was so clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The state fair was going on and it was still such a quiet hotel. I was in the end room right next to the elevator and I never heard anyone get off the elevator all night. Very impressed.

I planned a family reunion for adults and children of all ages from all over the US in July of 2023. This facility and personnel were a dream to work with. It started with a Sales Director who was "head and shoulders" above any other facility in the greater Des Moines area. Marsha has superior listening, problem solving and meeting planning skills. She worked with me through every step of the process from budgeting issues to room selection and setup, meal planning, ideas for entertainment and right through execution of the meeting. Fay, the banquet and facilities manager, ensured that our meals and room setup and management were done to perfection. Each member of the staff who took care of the room setup, technical support and the inevitable unexpected issues did so with professionalism and care. If you are planning a business meeting, banquet, Wedding or family get together, you will save yourself a lot of worry if you hold your meeting with the team at the Hilton Garden Inn, West Des Moines. My family is still complimenting me on our reunion.

Since my husband is not from the area, we wanted a space for our wedding that was easy for our guests. This was such a great place for that. It was nice to have the ceremony there and a room block. Marsha and Fay were also a great help. They were both so nice and knowledgeable about hosting weddings. The food was also fantastic! Our guests keep talking about how fun the day was!

I have stayed here a few times for work conferences and have been very impressed with the hotel. The lobby and rooms are extremely clean and welcoming. Customer service is great and all of the staff members are very nice! The hotel has been extremely accommodating for all of the conferences that I have attended here. I would recommend staying here to anyone and will be staying here myself again in the future!

We had a good time. The room was clean and large enough to ocomidate our needs. Price was good for the room we had. The pool was fun. Amd one of the hotest hot tubs i have even been in. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go.

Great hotel in a fantastic area. This is located in a fairly new hotel complex within a nice neighborhood. There are also several stores and restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again if it works with our travel plans.

Awesome location close to great restaurants and Smashpark! The service is great and we have had no issues after staying here many years in a row. Highly recommend this to anyone headed to the west Des Moines area!

We picked this hotel specifically for the children's wading pool, and I was so it excited for my little fish to see it and swim. He loves water. When we arrived Lisa at the front desk, was unable to pull up our reservation. I had booked online, so I went out to get my phone for the confirmation number. My heart sunk, when I realized I booked it for the wrong date. I had booked it for the day I made it, instead of that following Saturday. Lisa was able to confirm I wasn't charged for my original booking mistake, but she was actually able to get me a room for that night. Orginally, I had requested 2 queens, unfortunately they did not have that available but they had a king suite. It didn't matter, I would have taken anything. We could have easily returned home that evening but we really wanted to take advantage of the pool. We were happy with our stay. Our room was good. My son loved the pool. Staff was great. Especially Lisa!

Attended a luncheon with my husband and was pleasantly surprised. The food was VERY GOOD! Roasted pork with apples, new potatoes and corn pudding…top-notch for serving 200+ people. Plus the staff were so nice and accommodating! ☺

I am very impressed with this hotel! We have the app, so we did the check in on the app. We were able to go straight to our room and didn’t need to check in at the front desk. Very clean and quiet.

HGI knocked it out of the park! Clean rooms, room temperature was perfect, extremely kind staff. We will definitely stay there again.

Great stay. Pool was nice. Hot tub was large and the jets were strong (yay!!!). Housekeeping could be a little quieter in the morning but everyone was very friendly. Rooms were really modern and clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable!

Love this hotel. Great location. Good price. Very good value. Service is A+! Tasty breakfast with made to order eggs. They know how to cook over easy (which is difficult for some folks).

Only one complaint. I’m a business traveler in a suit and need to plug in my laptop. I have to crawl under the desk. In my suit. Where the trash can sits. Not at all happy.

Very clean hotel. People at the front desk were very nice, professional. We have expensive bikes and they told us we can take them to our room with no hesitation. They have cold water in the lobby, which was great on a hot day. They also have coffee in the morning in the lobby. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

We love coming here for family getaways. The toddler pool is perfect for our 3 year old! Everything is clean and the hotel is very quiet. Beds are very comfortable and got a great night of sleep each time we have stayed! Most of the staff is friendly. We cannot wait to come visit again!
