Abbott's Frozen Custard - Lexington

One of the best local businesses in Lexington!! Joe is so so kind and always willing to give back to our community. The custard is always superb and the chill wheels are incredibly delicious. Definitely a must-visit place in Lexington and a great staple for locals when looking for custard as well as their delicious cakes and pies. They also can provide dessert at events such as parties which is incredibly underrated and something everyone should consider for their next event!!

Abbots in Lexington is amazing. The frozen custard tastes so much better than ice cream, it just pops with creamy richness and complex flavor without being too fatty or too sweet or too icy. Their fudge-Oreo-vanilla is the best ice cream I’ve had in a year, at least. Also, the people behind the counter are super nice and cheery and prices are great. 5+ stars.

I love abbots!!! I’ve been going to this place for the past couple of weeks and it had always been a delight coming into the store. I love the different flavors each day that they offer but the chocolate almond is a go to! The staff is really friendly, Clinton is always really nice and respectful when serving my custard. definitely will be coming back!

Went in for some custard but didn’t know what i wanted. A young lady by the name of Lizzie helped me out and was very helpful a with a first time customer. Will definitely be seeing me back here again looking to try many of the appealing flavors they have. Would definitely recommend to someone who is on the fence about trying something new!

My experience at this location is always great. Employees never fail to put on a positive attitude, and are fast and friendly with their service. Quality and quantity of the custard is rich and creamy especially for the affordable price. Love coming here with friends, family, or even a quick stop on a walk.

An amazing work force at this location. Mario Capone Jr and Clinton Mijar are two of the hardest workers I’ve ever came across. Their ability to scoop ice cream (custard) into a cup or cone never fails to blow my mind.

This is my go-to place for special occasions. We get all our cakes and desserts from here. Everything always looks and tastes amazing. And now they deliver!!

Tried Abbott's for the first time yesterday and my son is hooked! He had the vanilla milkshake and said it was the best he has ever had. We live out of town but will make sure to stop by anytime we are in the area. Shop is also clean and has that nostalgic ice cream store feel. Staff is also super sweet and helpful.

Went last week with my kids. So delicious! Ella handled their craziness with ease.

Came here for my birthday recently after dinner. Everything was super fresh and the service was above and beyond! We will be back all summer!

Love love love!! BEST ice cream I’ve ever tasted (and trust me we’ve been to all the ice cream hot spots around here including Bedford Farms etc..) and my kids love it and find it so much easier to eat from a cup—they can do it themselves without struggling to get the traditional flimsy plastic spoon to cut through hard frozen ice cream! The inside is adorable and trendy all in one. Love the windows against the natural exposed brick. My kids love the Knight! Great seating inside and if you want to eat outside there are benches to sit on and people watch. Just perfect 👌

The three workers were incredibly kind and understanding when my Gift card didn’t work and were patient when I had to get money from a payment app to pay for it.

Shout out to those three working tonight at 6pm, you guys are doing awesome and y’all deserve a raise 😊!!!!!

Who doesn't love custard? And who didn't know what custard was before Abbott's came to Lexington? I didn't! I had know ideal it's basically ice cream with eggs...and what you get from eggy ice cream is a smooth, creamy, delicious dessert that you what more and more of!

Each day there are 3 staple flavors and then 3 to 4 rotating flavors. They also have giant Oreo cookie sandwiches and chocolate covered bananas!

This has become a destination for our kids - and something they ask for regularly. We also love to go!

Only downside is the layout. The cash registers should have been places as far inside the shop as possible and the glass display closer to the door. There is always congestion at the entrance and the flow to get in and out is a bit annoying.

Otherwise this place is great!

Delicious frozen custard. If you're wondering what frozen custard tastes like it's very similar to Ice Cream (almost indistinguishable). Good changing selection of flavours and lots of toppings (extra cost). Pints are available to take home and there are some other desserts available such as frozen bananas etc. Limited seating and can get very busy on a sunny day. If you're in Lexington I'd highly recommend a visit!

This was my first experience with frozen custard. I found it to be just a creamy as real ice cream! It has an almost soft-serve texture that melts quickly so enjoy it in relative cold or relatively quickly. The prices are fair for the portions and waffle cones are available.

If you are a fan of great custard this is a place for you to visit. It is part of a franchise. They have chocolate and vanilla soft serve and a daily variety of flavors. Custard differs from ice cream because it add egg yolks to the regular ice cream ingredients. It's richer and creamier then regular ice cream. The service is excellent and the pricesreasonable. Most days the lines are relatively short. Check it out.

If you are looking for a delicious alternative to ice cream, look no further. Abbott’s offers a wide variety of flavors of frozen custard as well as some delicious milkshakes. If you happen to stop by, I would recommend trying out the cookies and cream flavor in a flurry. In addition to this, if you just want to take some custard to go, you certainly can with their to go pins. This is a definitely a place to try out!
