Stop & Shop

Clean store. Very polite staff. They keep their self-checkout lanes open until closing. And I can’t remember ever bringing home from here an item that is freezerburnt, melted or spoiled. Sadly, expect the opposite from any other nearby Stop n Shop.

A majority of the produce is fresh and is replaced when it goes bad. They have limited space in their current structure, therefore there isn't a huge assortment of fruits and veggies.

This is a really great supermarket. They have all of your daily necessities readily stocked. They have some of the freshest shrimp at the deli, always a good source of lean protein. They offer fresh meat, healthy milk and dairy products, as well as crisp apples and juicy blackberries by the pound in the produce section.

In Christmas time, they have really great eggnog, as well.

They also serve the local community of Lexington by having a diaper donation for mothers who can't afford to buy diapers for their kids. Look for the green donation box at checkout, if you feel like helping out local families in need. Or, if you want to donate food, they also have a donation box from Lexington Food Pantry, which can always use goods such as rice, canned veggies, tuna and peanut butter. the store manager is a good man who cares a lot for his staff and for his customers. It's funny, we both have the same first name, so people calling for him always makes my head turn in reflex! Haha! I hope this helps you to find what you need.

You can never really go wrong when you do your shopping at the Stop n Shop in Lexington MA..

I would like to acknowledge the help provided by Maria on online shopping. There was, a special sale, a couple of weeks ago, on scallops at $7.99 per pound that I was unable to order online despite many efforts. I spoke with Maria who said they were out but she would make sure that they could honor this offer. A couple of weeks later she called back to let me know while they still did not have this item available she would substitute the same with fresh scallops and include it with my next pickup. She was able to pull this together and not only honor the original price from several weeks earlier but she actually included this in my order without any charge at all. It is reasons like Maria that keep me a loyal customer of Stop & Shop.

Clean and most veggies are good and rotated when stale. Could use a bit more selection in the fruits and vegetables but they only have so much room to work with in their current building.

I prefer to shop here over Market Basket. The prices are competitive and sometimes better. Their customer service is far above the rest. You can actually get assistance loading your car if you are disabled in a timely fashion.

Many nice employees, but a few bad apples, which hurts the experience. There's also a kind of pushy, fast moving, city attitude to the place. I'm sticking with Bedford. Much better store.
1/2/2020:. Been here twice since my last review/edit. Wanted to give the place another chance. Both times were very pleasant. The two individuals who were difficult before were NOT so during these visits. Looks like management is doing a good job. Thanks.

They have the same great sales though at this location. Shopping experience is much better than the super crowded Market Basket in Burlington as well. Granted, it is an older location but it serves it's purpose very well and provides a very good in/out experience.

I went to the Lexington Stop and Shop to look for items (non-perishable) for the upcoming Passover holiday. They had almost everything that I was looking for in stock, 4 weeks before the holiday. Much of the time I was the only person in that particular aisle. Don't forget to look for the items on the rear endcaps.

Excellent customer service. Had a quick tutorial on how to apply a digital coupon to be used at Stop and Shop. Lady spent time with me and very much appreciate her time.

Don't tell ANYONE about this Stop & Shop. It is the best, and i like being able to easily move up & down the aisles. The name here, should be Shop & Go!

this stop and shop has amazing service! They always get someone to arrive right at the end of my self scan belt when it's time to pay! They never help or nah my stuff but boy......for some reason I always get preference. I suppose just in case I need help..🤔🤔🤔

This Stop & Shop - in Lexington, MA - is a smaller store without the "Super Stuff," but has everything we needed, along with the friendliest customer service!!

Great place to go for high quality low cost food some special type of flavors for some of the food which you can not find anywhere else
