A special cafe. The owner, Galit, is lovely, kind and makes you feel so welcome. You feel at home in her space. I love the coffee and food options. They have wonderful Jewish/Israeli options for food and baked foods. I especially love the ‘coffee slush’ ...reminds me of Aroma’s iced coffee that I’ve enjoyed in Israel. The challah is delicious too. The offerings change by day. They have a few tables in the cozy, small space. Definitely check it out!

Galit's is a clean, cozy and comfortable place to get delicious food and warm, satisfying drinks. Galit is a really friendly host and does a great job of making you feel at home and welcome. The place is charming and unique. It will surely be a place I come back to often.

A local cafe with a warm and cozy atmosphere with homemade baked goods. The quality of the food is high and the staff is as friendly as they get. There is a specialty breakfast offered on Saturdays that shouldn't be missed called Sabich Sandwich. Highly recommended for a quick stop or to sit and read a book.

My wife and I each enjoyed a fantastic cup of cappuccino on Valentines Day. It was brewed fresh and served in a classy white mug atop a saucer. The espresso is delicious too. Skip the Starbucks next time and give Galit Café a try. The baked goods are made on site and are delicious.

Jachnun. Yemenite traditional dough, served with tomato sauce& hard boiled egg.
And
Shakshuka. Two pouched egg cooked in tomato sauce served with homemade challah bread.

Delicious food, great coffee, and reasonable prices.
They have outdoor seating set up for COVID :)

Such a wonderful bakery with the best food! The atmosphere is perfect with attentive staff and the owner is very sweet! I was hosting a bridal shower and the bride has Celiac disease so I needed gluten free cupcakes. Galits went FAR above and beyond to make the most beautiful and tasty cupcakes for the shower and I could not be more grateful! I recommend them over and over and cannot wait for my next trip back, thank you!

I travel to attend Holly Traditional Latin Mass in Newton, Our Lady of Lourdes. A week ago I entered the Coffee shop by chance and ordered a cheese and spinach pastry. It was delicious! They have such a variety of delicious goodies. I Highly recommend this place. I will order my birthday cake from here!

AMAZING food! I've lived in Paris and can tell you the croissants and pastries at Galit's are as good if not better than what I ate there! Also lots of creative unique middle eastern/Israeli treats. Also Galit is extremely sweet and friendly. Highly recommend!

Galit's Cafe is a true gem in a heart of Newton center. From the moment you are coming in and get a warm and fuzzy feeling of being home during holidays with that smell of fresh backed goods....to the moment when you bring your staff home and take a first bite....so delicious !!!! Highly recommend. I am a forever fan ☺

I'm really happy I found this place. Since moving to Boston I haven't been so impressed with the food scene. But this place is 100% the exception.

Their pastries and bourekas are AMAZING. Closest I've ever had to pastries I've tried in Israel. And their babka...if you're craving Marzipan Rugelach, the babka will fill that craving. Its probably the best babka I've had.

Give this place a try...its great. I'll be back for sure.

I have known Galit well for many years, and I have always known she could bake, but coming to her bakery brought in a new variety of smells and tastes I never knew I could experience. Galit's treats bakery gives you the sense of home that most cafes can not supply, while maintaining a great supply of goods that you wish you could make at home. I will definitely return for more. A must-go for anyone looking to enjoy a nice and quiet cup of coffee in a cozy, local bakery with friendly service.

Galit's Cafe has splendid coffee drinks & bakery items. Their cappuccino (w/Italian beans) is the best I've had in the Greater Boston area.

Lovely coffee shop. Galit is friendly and welcoming and has the most wonderful selection of baked goods, including some Israeli and Jewish specialties. Highly recommended!

REAL Israeli iced coffee!!! ... & amazing chocolate creations so decadently rich, they should (almost!) be illegal. Friendly smiles included, no extra charge. A refreshing contrast to the robots staffing the chains.

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Hubby had a very tasty pastry. I had a breakfast sandwich: guacamole, tahini, greens, tomato, sunnyside up egg, all barely staying put between two thick toasted slices of Galit-made challah. Delicious. Then takeaway boxes of her mom's baklava, also wonderful flavors. Wish I lived in the area - would be back oh so often.

Delicious!! Everything is wonderful, and the staff is great. I drive 45 minutes just to pick up pastries and real Turkish coffee
