My experience at Cabots

This restaurant has a lot to offer. Amazing decor, giving the vibe of a 90s diner and the red booths in the corners. It’s very clean, except for the bathrooms, which are very filthy. But I recommend not going at rush hour, cause it might get crowdy.

American-Style foods are their specialty.Philly cheese steaks, 1/2 pounder burgers, sandwiches, waffles, gigantic ice cream sundaes and much more. Everything is homemade and fresh.

The staff is very friendly and quick. The prices are pretty good, based on the quality and the food portion of the dish.

Overall my experience was amazing. Highly recommended.

Went here to get lunch with my toddler. I got the 9oz burger platter and my son got the hot dog. After ordering we realized everyone else was ordering breakfast items...so perhaps we made the wrong decision. Burger was pretty bland which is why I rated a four for food.

Thr ice cream however was amazing. I got a scoop of maine black bear which hit the spot and my toddler got a chocolate sugar cone with m&m's. Portions are huge. The line up was also pretty long when we were leaving. Highly recommend the ice cream, this place is worth a visit.

Amazing old time ice cream shop with a modernized appeal. Amazing food and ice cream and incredible ambiance. The soda counter is primo and the staff and owners are so nice and friendly. I love it here. So many cool desserts to choose from. I can’t recommend Cabot’s enough!

It’s so cute here! It’s still like an old fashioned ice cream shop, reminded me a lot of Friendly’s. I got the grilled cheese burger and it was really good, I really loved the fries! The snickers ice cream with PB sauce was also delicious! Service was fast and the girl was very friendly. I would definitely come back, it’s a great place to take kids!

I’ve gone with my grandfather and mom to Cabot’s for over 10+ years. They have the best ice cream! Highly recommend the Patriot Parfait: A tower of Strawberry, and Vanilla ice cream with strawberry and blueberry sauce, with whipped cream and a cherry on top. They also have tasty reuben sandwiches. Staff are friendly, and the owner is lovely. Usually a bit of a wait, but that’s due to how popular the restaurant is. They also sell ice cream birthday cakes, if you are looking for that.

It's a wonderful ice cream shop in the Watertown area. LOVE IT!

We love this place for everything it gives. The food is great greasy spoon style diner. But save room for the ice cream. It's incredible! I particularly love the peanut butter sauce they use.

A Newton/Watertown staple. Cabot's has been a go to spot for ice cream for my girlfriend and I since moving to the area.

Try the Amaretto or Pistachio for something different, or the coffee almond fudge for something a bit more decadent.

There's a to-go line for those looking to make a quick pit stop, and tables/bar top seats for those looking for that classic diner/ice cream joint atmosphere. They also provide hand packed pints or even larger if you want to bring some home.

It's an institution! Despite new ownership, it's still a happening place. Hot fudge sundae is my goto! It's always awesome! Friendly and attentive staff. Love the burger plate, but don't get there too late when the kitchen closes or you'll have ice cream sundae for dinner :)

My sundae was huge. It was so delicious. Fresh hot peanut butter fudge sauce. Chunky peanut butter cup ice cream. The place was packed. We sat at the counter since we just wanted ice cream. Super friendly server. Fast service. Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely amazing! We have been coming here for years. There is something for everyone that would surely keep you coming back for more.

My daughter and I absolutely loved this place! The selection of ice creams is amazing, and the ones we tasted were all excellent. The portions are very large and satisfying, and we highly recommend stopping at this place. We only had ice cream, not any of their other foods.

Cabot's is a lovely diner with great food and service. They always make my food exactly as I requested which is rare. Service has always been friendly.
The bathroom is upstairs and it's not convenient for those who can't do stairs. It's also very small. Aside from that, everything else is great about Cabot's.

If you haven't been to this place, you are missing out!!😍

In Miami until 2021, we had a place called Swensen's Grill & Ice Cream Parlor in Coral Gables, which after 44 years in business is now permanently closed. The excitement of finding Cabot's has brought back what we had lost almost locally. Score!❤

Parents, your kids would love this place, and adults, if you want to have like a back in the day Howard Johnson's restaurant experience, this is your place! I believe they're closed on Mondays.

Hometown diner. The Moose Tracks ice cream is the best. The cheesy baked potato with broccoli is an overlooked gem.

Great food and ice cream, portion sizes are enormous! Friendly staff as well but be aware that they only accept cash. ATM is available right outside for your convenience.

This was an awesome experience, an old school ice parlor, with an endless menu of ice-cream options. They were good with the gluten free guidance on the icecream, though they aren't listed as gluten free. I somehow managed to defeat this monster ice-cream Sunday.

Food and service was great! Been living in MA for 18 months and always passed by Cabots but never tried it because it was always crowded. Took a stab at it yesterday as it was empty. Happy that I did. Lots of choices on the menu. Will definitely return and try something else.

Going Bananas was my pick - first time going there and, let me tell ya...it was a great experience with wonderful customer service and atmosphere.

Big menu - but that also means there's something for all tastes and desires.

Highly recommend it!
