Dr. Kutcher and his staff are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend them to treat not only one's concussion but the entire person, and especially targeting an athlete's overall brain health. They have helped our son so much in his recovery process, and their thoroughness with his overall health has helped him heal tremendously. They were able to put all the dots together and encompass the entire puzzle to help him. No stone was left unturned in his recovery process. They are kind, compassionate, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They treat, educate and guide through the entire recovery process and the sense of relief knowing you are in their brilliant care is very reassuring. Lastly, the ENTIRE staff there is so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Simply the BEST!

My son started seeing the doctors at Sports Neurology Clinic 2 years ago for chronic migraines. I am always impressed with their timeliness. They are ALWAYS ready for us when we get there and we don't sit in the exam room waiting for the doctor. The doctors (we have seen 2) are compassionate, LISTEN, and take time to get to know us both as patients and people. Very knowledgeable, attentive, caring, and true problem-solvers!

The Sports Neurology Clinic has changed my life! I suffered from Post Concussion Syndrome for 15 months following a cheerleading accident, and struggled to find answers and gain relief from my symptoms. After a year of being told to "wait it out" by various healthcare professionals, I was struggling to function in normal life and ended up dropping out of college at the start of my sophomore year.

The staff at the Sports Neurology Clinic have been both welcoming and professional since my first encounter. I made an inquiry on their website asking for information, and was contacted early the next day. After an encouraging phone call with one of their staff members, I booked an appointment with their Michigan office.

I truly cannot say enough about this clinic! After almost 1.5 years suffering with Post Concussive symptoms, I have finally found relief. A comprehensive information gathering session and a physical exam immediately revealed the cause of my symptoms, and I left my first appointment with a detailed plan for my recovery. The staff are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and passionate, and their enthusiasm is contagious!

I have now been a patient for 3 weeks, and the improvements are astounding! I am so thankful to the Sports Neurology Clinic for their care, and for giving me my life back. I would highly, HIGHLY, recommend to anyone looking for high quality care!

Dr. Kutcher and Dr. Beltran at The CORE Institute were excellent! First off, they made time in their busy schedules to see me on relatively short notice. Second, their staff was great about scheduling and working through insurance. Then, most importantly, both doctors were very detailed and very knowledgeable. They were great about explaining their conclusions, answering questions, and discussing next steps. I would highly recommend them to anyone experiencing headaches (especially athletes).

Dr. McCarthy is fabulous. He takes time to explain the diagnosis as well as underlying causes. He is patient, caring, and excellent at helping me understand how to manage my son's migraines. He is incredible with my 6 year old. The whole staff welcomed us and made us feel at home. My son loves going to appointments and asks when he gets to go back.

Nate at the Legacy Center referred us here after my 15 year old son got a concussion during soccer try-outs. The Sports Neurology Clinic got us in quickly and Dr. McCarthy was thorough with checking him. Luckily, the concussion ended up being mild.

My 16-year-old son was referred to the Sports Neurology Clinic by the school trainer for follow-up on a possible concussion. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to fit him in for an appointment and how great the staff and doctors were. This place does things right! The front office specialist, Ms. King, greeted us warmly and made sure we were processed quickly. Both Drs. Alessi-LaRosa and Kutcher were not only thorough in their examination of my son, but also accommodated my questions with patience and professionalism. They followed-up with our school trainer, allowing for a quick return to participation. This was, without question, the best experience I have ever had in any type of medical setting. Thanks!

My son suffered a severe concussion in 2015 during a junior football game. It took him 7 weeks, lots of meds, weekly visits to U of M and physical therapy in order to become symptom free. We were told to have a baseline concussion testing done in 6 months. At the beginning of his first high school season in 2016, I took him to the Core Institute to have his baseline testing done. I thought that it would be important to have his current "normal baseline" on file in case he ever suffered another concussion during football. As it turns out he was involved in a car accident that totaled his car in June of 2018. I took him to the ER to rule out a broken arm and in the process the physician documented that he had suffered a concussion. Having gone through a concussion and all of it's protocol only 3 years prior, I knew what to look for and I did not think he had a concussion. He had no concussion symptoms other than a sore neck and a head ache from hitting his head on the window resulting in a goose egg. Thanks to the ER doc we now had a piece of paper stating that he couldn't return to football until cleared by his primary doctor. Of course it was football camp at this time and missing any days was not going to be good. So, I called the Core Institute who told me to call Sports Neurology because they had become their own office. I had to leave a message with them but they returned my call within 3 hours. They were able to get Ben's baseline testing from the Core Institute and fit us in for an appointment the next day. At that appointment, after a thorough concussion testing, Dr. McCarthy determined that Ben did not suffer a concussion but instead had some soft tissue neck and back pain from the impact and he was referred to physical therapy. I was so relieved that it wasn't a concussion and I was so thankful that we had his baseline on file to compare his results to, so that we could know for sure that his brain was okay. His primary physician could never have done this for us. I highly recommend the Sports Neurology clinic. They are experts in concussion for sure! Very thorough! Don't trust your kid's brain to any other office!

I saw doctor kutcher today at the sports neurology clinic and i was blown away by the professionalism. They are very prompt, very current witht he times and the office is beautiful. Everyone was very friendly and the doctors spoke in a way that you can understand your results. Very happy with the team at the Sports Neurology clinic. Something everyone might not know is that they see everyone and not just sports players.

I wanted to reach out to Dr. Kutcher, and specifically to Dr. McCarthy and the team at The Sports Neurology Clinic in Brighton. During the first week of May (2017) my son, Ryan, and I, visited Michigan to get Ryan in front of you folks. I must say that I have told dozens of people about our experience out there already, and have described the visit as potentially "life changing" for my son. The meeting that I sat in on during our last morning there, with Ryan and Dr. McCarthy was one of the most passionate displays of information sharing that I have ever been a part of. That 90 minutes meant the world to me as a father to my son, and to also understand the work that had been done during the week leading up to that meeting. The devil is in the details, but it's the little things that count, and from what I can tell, no stone was left un-turned in the pursuit of understanding, evaluation, and feedback. Kudos to you for taking the time to cover this information for me, and for Ryan, as you had done so all week with him. You folks are outstanding, from the front desk, to the doctors, and those in between. Thank you.

Dr Kutcher and his staff were phenomenal! I had a neurological issue that needed immediate attention. Within days they had me in, all of the tests along with results and I was set for surgery within a week. I cannot than Dr Kutcher and his staff enough for their attentiveness and care.

I came here after receiving multiple concussions due to world fighting competitions. They greeted me and made me feel at home, they got me healthy again and even back to working out and competing!! I love the staff here and highly recommend, much better than the 3 "neurologists" I visited beforehand!
