Our dining experience here was excellent! The menu doesn’t have too many options, but all the dishes are worth trying. My personal favorites were potato vareniki, chicken Kiev and cranberry & granola panna cotta. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful, overall atmosphere in the restaurant is different from the restaurants in this area. Be aware it is pretty tough to find- entrance is located in the back of the building.

The food is absolutely delicious and a service is great.

My fiance and I had a wonderful experience here last night! Although there was a party in the other room the staff was helpful and accommodating.

For food we started with both meat & cabbage Pirozhok which were gone in an instant.

For the entrees we had the Pozharski Cutlet and Beef Stroganoff. Both were very filling and absolutely delicious. Lastly their infused vodka was a special treat we tried the Jalapeño Honey and the Cranberry. We are definitely coming back!

I went here in the middle of the day with my husband for a late lunch. I really enjoyed the meal. We ordered a borscht which comes with a pirozhok, which is like a savory puff pastry with meat inside (although they have a vegetable option as well). Both were really well flavored and the pastry was very crispy and fluffy, a rare find in the pastry world. We also ordered the smoked salmon blinis, which were very good. Blinis are not your typical crepes, they are slightly heavier and chewier, which is very satisfying with the sour cream and salmon. It’s always a pleasant experience to go to a restaurant that isn’t run of the mill, but has good food.

Very yummy soups they have , pretty nice and polite waitress , adequate prices . Soups were around 8-10$ . They serve it with bread . Thank you for your warm welcome!

Authentic Russian restaurant, the food was delicious with nice presentation and staff were very friendly and hospitable. Definitely recommend!

I tried borscht for the first time here, and it's still one of the best things I've ever eaten. It was warm, comforting, and so flavorful. I also got the chicken shashlik, which was perfectly cooked and very filling!

Good atmosphere, delicious food and a quiet Friday noon, you can't ask for more

Edit: Either come in on a not-so-busy Friday noon, or just get your reservation for dinner a week head. They need more chefs!!

Wonderful Russian restaurant. Best herring I have ever had. Who knew boiled potatoes could be this amazing? The service was excellent. The ambiance I think is very charming, unique, authentic. The infused vodkas are fantastic, I recommend the horseradish.

We visited Cafe St. Petersburg recently and had a wonderful experience. Nestled in Newton Centre and accessible from the MBTA Green Line, we were welcomed into the restaurant by our friendly waiter. The menu offers a very unique and delicious list of food and beverage items, which were delivered to our table quickly after ordering. All of the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly, patient and attentive! I highly recommend Cafe St. Petersburg to any and all. Спасибо большое!

Just had a function here. Great experience, absolutely delicious authentic food, fair prices. Can't speak of the spur-of-the-moment regular dining experience, but for pre-booked group gatherings and special occasions, this is the place to go to.

My friends and I spend an amazing evening at this place. We ordered many different dishes and everything came out just perfect. We also ordered vodka with garlic flavor and it was very good :-) Everything from bottles that they bring their home made spirits to the way they serve their dishes was great. The only disappointment was is a lack of any kind of entertainment (no music at all). It felt way too quiet for Friday night. Our waiter was very professional and very friendly.
One suggestion to the owners - please add kvas to your menu. Non alcohol beverages definitely missing this item.
