Woke up still dreaming about the Boomer roll… Two of my girlfriends and I came to SushiCo for the first time and will never waste money on any other sushi. We gave chef Alex free rein to bring us whatever he suggested. Every single thing was better than the next, bursting with flavor, incredibly fresh, and became tastier with every bite. We will be back every Friday.

The best quality sushi ever! The Chef Alex takes pride in his craft and he certainly knows his flavors. He is hands on deck and he is very personable. I always have a great experience here. If you love sushi...come here.

Highly Recommended! This is our go-to sushi spot. They have the freshest fish served in preparations that highlight the quality of the fish. Simple, uncomplicated, and delicious. We typically get a large selection of nigiri and a couple of rolls. My favorite is the Northside Roll. Amazing!

The staff is friendly, fun, and dedicated to making sure everything is perfect. Prices are excellent, too. Especially considering the quality and variety of fish. We prefer SushiCo to places that cost twice as much.

Definity worth a visit, even if you are in downtown Boston. Easy access on the Green Line, so no excuse not to go!

Where do I begin... I guess at the fact that I walked in as a non-sushi person and left as a super fan! I haven't ever really been a big seafood lover, for no other reason than having been a picky child who never grew out of it :) While I love a good veggie based roll, I knew I had been missing out. I have heard so many rave reviews about SUSHICO, I was willing to step very far outside of my comfort zone and see what the buzz was about.

Chef Alex went above and beyond to make my experience exceptional, and comfortable. He spent time at our table (on a busy Saturday night), talking about the flavors I like, where and how the ingredients his restaurant uses are sourced and the pride he takes in ensuring only the best in quality.

I was blown away by the flavors, textures and overall deliciousness of everything we had. My husband, who is also an avid sushi ,fan proclaimed it was the best he ever had and we could never go anywhere else! Chef Alex came back to check on us many times throughout the evening and couldn't have been a more gracious host.

We look forward to many more visits in the (near) future and highly recommend SUSHICO to all!

Sushico is a new sushi restaurant in Newton Center. The restaurant itself is spacious yet cozy. They did a beautiful job with the layout and decor. The owner was extremely welcoming and introduced himself to my friend and I and made some great recommendations for food and drink choices. We started with the sesame noodles and the salmon tacos. Both are great choices! I was highly impressed with the flavor of the tacos, so impress we ordered a second round! The noodles were also divine. We then ordered the salmon Tataki and it was like butter, literally melts in your mouth. You can tell by the taste and texture of the food that they only use the freshest fish. I honestly want to go back again as soon as I can, the food was that good!

We became big fans of the owner Alex! We visited here by chance but had a great experience with his exclusive maki, nigiri, sashimi and all his passion in his dishes. Every single piece has own flavor and get laced with his signature sauce which satisfied us so much. Also as you can see in pictures, every piece looks so sophisticated and when you try it, you can feel how harmonious the ingredients are

Delicious, clean, cozy, and lovely restaurant.

P.S. Please don't forget to try tacos as well!

This place is truly amazing. The head chef is personally making sure that your experience is superb; the team is super nice and the sushi among the best I've ever eaten.
Also, they are very attentive towards food allergies, offering creative alternatives to allow you the perfect sushi experience.
Highly recommended!

I lived in Newton all my life, and finally found a new home for Sushi! It beats driving more than 10 minutes to find the best piece of fish in town, let alone in the country! I’ve traveled along the East and West coast and this is by far the best Sushi destination!

First thing you gotta try is the truffle edamame. It’s to die for. Fresh and tastes so good!

Then moving onto some Sashimi, Salmon and Tuna are my go to and nothing to complain here.

My main is special rolls with great flavor of Thai Basil and special mayo sauce.

Let’s not forget about them hand rolls! Salmon, Cucumber, and Avocado, just sits in your mouth and smile! “Amazing!”

Again, I strongly recommend SUSHICO and you also get to meet some great staff! They care about service and go above and beyond expectations!

Definitely the best sushi ever that I have been tried so far. The environment is great not so dark not so bright. The owner Alex comes to your table and explain everything he is so friendly. The taste of the sushis are unique, it melt in your mouth. The spicy tiger roll is the best with a pinch of truffle taste . Kinmedai nigiri is fantastic (it is not in the menu). Sakis are good but overpriced. In general it is a expensive sushi place but I recommend this place.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Boston. The sushi is amazing and beautiful. I’m from California and so I’ve been lucky to have often eaten incredible seafood and this is right up there. Alex, the owner, is super friendly and passionate. I’m always stoked to come back.

This place is too good to be true. The fish quality is fabulous. The shaping on nigiri is excellent. The hijiki seaweed salad and all the accompaniments were delicious and well seasoned. They were also very careful with my son's allergies. I didn't think this level of quality even existed in Boston. I've tried and disliked all the usual suspect for high end sushi in Boston preferring to only get it in New York and LA, but Sushi Co was a revelation.

The best sushi spot around. We moved to the area from NYC and would put Sushi Co. right in the upper tier of NY-Quality sushi spots. Alex, the owner and head chef, is ever present and holds his team to an incredibly high standard. He sources incredible fish and the saki selection is top notch. Also a great value.

Travel around the world…and come back to Boston for what is easily the best sushi you’ll ever have. At SUSHICO Newton the owner, with his beautiful wife by his side, confidently served us with a smile, this is not a business for them, it’s their passion, and they wear it well! Go to SUSHICO Newton and you will experience why it’s unfair for the competition, you just can’t compare. See for yourself what everyone is raving about in this small, historical, quaint town just outside of Boston.

Went here for dinner a few nights ago. Place is cute and modern. It was busy but we got a table after a few min. We had the tuna and salmon tacos and several different nigiri and rolls. All were super fresh and unique.

Got the Omakase which was pretty good! Liked the nigiri over the maki personably. Maki seemed to have something that over powered the taste of the fish. Miso soup and ikura were delicious

It is on the expensive side but worth every penny. Best Sushi, period. Mic drop.

We dont even look at the menu anymore. We just eat what Alex brings, and we are always in awe.
