Wood and Fire Neapolitan Pizzeria

We came thinking we'd get pizza and instead were pleasantly surprised to find great pasta. Our server was very patient and answered lots of questions about the menu. There's something for everyone here.

We absolutely loved this restaurant. We started with the meat Ragu arancini. The pepperoni pizza with hot honey and the wood + fire pizza was delicious. Then we ended the night with the churros with Nutella and sweet ricotta. Fantastic service from Kristen. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Prompt seating, polite hostess/wait staff. Accommodated kids. Quick apps/drinks.

Our younger (20's maybe) waitress paid close attention to our family needs and made sure she was available throughout the meal to get us what we needed. Kudos to the twins, they nailed it.

All the food was GREAT as well.

Amazingly delicious Italian cuisine in Melrose! I never had this delicious eggplant before!!! We enjoyed the food, place. Staff are very nice and friendly, knowledgeable about gluten-free food. High quality ingredients and prices are very good. Defined recommended!

Best Neapolitan style pizza I have found in Boston area. I enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the 900 degree pizza oven turn out a stream of perfect pies. If you like Neapolitan pizza, I highly recommend. Casual atmosphere. Service was on point.

We loved the entire experience of dining in this little shop off main street. The pizza was a revelation - the dough just perfectly charred and fluffy light yet binding enough knockout flavour from the tomatoes and the basil. The papardeli pasta was amazing - meaty, perfectly textured mouth feel and silky with the meat sauce and the cheese. The service was warm and welcoming and we felt so at home. Special thanks to the chefs and the staff who spoke to us and made us feel so welcome. We loved it and we will be back!! Highly recommended place to stop over in Melrose!

Our first time visiting Wood and Fire Neapolitan Pizzeria in Melrose. Great staff, dinner and desserts. The meat lasagna is delicious and the portion was very generous. For dessert we had the churros with Nutella and we weren’t disappointed. Although the restaurant for seating is small, we didn’t feel cramped next to people and it was overall a great experience. We will come back and try the pizzas next visit. - June 2019

I had the Napoli pizza and was extremely impressed. It really is an authentic neopolitan style pizza. The dough was perfect - it had that little bit of char to it but was soft, and had the perfect ratio of crust to pizza. I sat at the bar and watched the chef make the pizza right in front of me. He said he's been cooking neopolitan pizzas for 7 years and you can really see he has a good feel for it.

I will be coming back hear again for sure.

We really enjoyed eating here, 1st we had their Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms, they were a little pricey but larger than most stuffed mushrooms you see, and delicious. The Napoli Pizza is now my Favorite Pizza, simply amazing. Finally we also had the Eggplant Panini, very good size and equally yummy. I will be back for more!!

This is my go-to spot on the North Shore for a delicious italian meal. I love this place. Everything on the menu is super yummy; very high quality and fresh ingredients. Never disappoints. We're very lucky to have them in Melrose.

As the name is simple so is the food. To start with menu has a simple layout and every ingredient is explained in detail.
About the pizza, one size 12 inch is simply spectacular.
Ordered the San Marzano and Cheese. The sauce is slightly more tangy, but the cheese balance it well.
Busy for a Saturday night but the service was fast. Pictures don’t do just to the pizza.

Came here with friends and had a great evening. The pizzas were delicious and our server was excellent!

My daughter and I really enjoy coming here. Food is delicious. Service is fast and friendly. We always order an app, the meatballs. Soo delicious. Papparadelle bolognese is also a fav with my picky eater.

Haven't been in awhile. The food is still excellent and they added alot if new menu items! A must try you will not be disappointed! 4/23/22 excellent again! Love this place! 8/10/22 back again! Got the veal Florentin and gnocchi and wow it was excellent. Fyi we have been here multiple times since last review and its always awesome. Great food, great service, and always a great value!

The food was amazing. Did not expect anything less as I know the owner Joe's cooking from his last place. It is a busy place, so the service was a bit slow, but everyone was friendly, and the place had a good vibe.
