Carmel Mountain Preschool

We took our 20 months baby to CMP after at least 6 months of research. We are very happy with our decision so far. Even though it’s the most expensive option in the area it’s worth it l. It seems they spend that money for your kids care and education. Teachers are happy, full of love, energy and knowledgeable. Our baby had a rough transition and they really helped her and us to go through it.

I love this preschool and so do my kids. The gorgeous campus is such a unique way to learn. I love that they are exposed to different types of hands on learning with Nature Lab, art studio, and tinkering. But my most important person it Mr. Michael. My little had a rough start to the year but Mr. Michael is so patient and kind. He really helped my kid flourish. A caring teacher can change the way a child feels about school and I know my kids loves school because of Mr. Michael.

Exceptional preschool experience for my son! The caring staff, engaging curriculum, and nurturing environment have contributed immensely to his growth. The teachers go above and beyond to create a positive and educational atmosphere. We’re grateful for the wonderful foundation they’re providing for our child’s early education.
I want to give a special mention to Ms Satya for the warm welcome she provides my child every morning, her kindness always sets a positive tone for the day.

We started our son here in September after three years at home through infancy and COVID. CMP made this transition nearly seamless. Our teacher Mrs. Jack is a genuine pro at integrating even the most intrepid friend into the classroom. Our son loves her and speaks so kindly towards his classroom experience. The campus is wonderful and welcoming; a well oiled machine with every family's best interests at heart. We are so happy we made this decision and chose to join the CMP family!

Our son has been at CMP since he was just shy of three years old. We've been very happy with all of his teachers and he loves the combination of traditional classroom activities and enriching extras like art, nature lab, and tinkering.

My husband and I often comment that the administration at CMP has things dialed in, and that has been a great comfort! Plus, with a larger student body they're able to group kids of very similar ages. It has made our son a lot more comfortable to be with kids very close in age (compared to, say, a Montessori model with kids ages 3-6 in one classroom).

When our little guy moves on to TK, we will be very sorry to leave CMP. (Side note: there is a pre-K program!)

We considered putting our son into a public school T-K program this year to save money but after weighing the educational benefits we are so happy we kept him at CMP for kindergarten prep. The curriculum offered at CMP is unlike any other and teachers do an excellent job at balancing classroom time with other equally important and stimulating activities. The variety of small camps offered during their summer session are also impressive ranging from dance and baking to arts and crafts and engineering small race cars. CMP produces well rounded students who love to learn. I am truly grateful for the love and attention all the staff at CMP give my son. Thank you so much for doing what you do!

My daughter has been attending Carmel Mountain Preschool for 3 years now and we (and she) have been so happy there. The teachers are phenomenal - I feel like they really know my daughters individual personality and tweak things to what will suit her best. Their outdoor spaces and activities such as nature lab, art studio and tinkering add such value on top of their great play-based curriculum. I can't recommend the CMP enough!

I visited several schools for my three year old before I finally found Carmel Mountain Preschool and instantly fell in love with it. My number one priority was finding a school that does a lot of outdoor education. CMP is definitely great at it with their amazing nature lab, art studio and tinkering classes. My son absolutely loves it and I’m amazed by the quality of projects teachers put together with our kids. There are non stop activities. They even bake in class, have field trip visits and celebrate all the major holidays by including parents in the celebration. I highly recommend this school to everyone who is seeking a good quality place for their child. Also, their hours are perfect for parents who work full time!

I couldn’t be more delighted with Carmel Mountain Preschool! As both an elementary school teacher and a mom, I have high standards. CMP has met or exceeded every one of them. Each day, when I drop my daughters off at preschool, I know I am leaving them in the care of loving, knowledgeable staff who will value and respect them as individuals. The students have incredible opportunities: the outdoor art studio, the nature lab, Tinker Hollow, extensive playgrounds, fun family events, and so much more! Both of my daughters are learning so much, but most importantly, they love their friends, their teachers, and their preschool. 💕

CMP has been an amazing place for my daughter! She started in June at the age of 18 months and I was a nervous wreck. The teachers have been so patient and my daughter has really thrived in the environment. She is so social and verbal and really looks forward to going to school in the mornings. She loves her new friends and teachers and it's so fun to see her learning and growing.

The school itself is beautiful with so much for the kids to do - the art studio, the glen, playgrounds, monthly yoga and dance classes, holiday activities and spirit weeks, chickens to feed and organic snacks provided daily.

Carmel Mountain Preschool is truly a special place. We have seen our daughter’s confidence grow over the two years she has been at CMP. She is learning to love school as a place where she can be herself, develop her curiosity and learn empathy. Ms. Michele is an exceptional teacher who has taught her strategies for expressing her emotions and asking for what she needs. She has also helped our daughter tap into a love of art and enabled her to express her creativity as she freely explores the classroom art supplies and the quaint hands-on art studio. We would highly recommend Carmel Mountain Preschool to any parent who wants their child to be recognized for their individual gifts!

My wife and I both love Carmel Mountain Preschool. The staff here (both the teachers and the administration) are wonderful, and the facilities are top notch! They have an array of fun activites for the kids everyday, and some really great playgrounds that my daughter enjoys very much. My daughter is happy and always had fun stories for us when we pick her up at the end of the day. And most importantly, I feel like CMP is giving my daughter a great education.

I will not hesitate to also send my younger son here once he is old enough to attend. I couldn't be happier so far with my experience with CMP!

We love this preschool ! Our 3y/o has grown tremendously in the short time she has been here. There is a wonderful balance with helping the children grow emotionally , socially and intellectually. We appreciate that the teachers really focus on fostering the children's independence. Also the staff does a great job of communicating with the parents. My wife and I are confident that this is the best place our daughter can be right now. We highly recommend CMP!

I looked long and hard for a preschool to enroll my son in. I ultimately chose Carmel Mountain Preschool because of the curriculum and wonderful environment that my son can thrive in while he's there. The staff are friendly, informative, and work extremely well with their kids. The grounds are clean and safe, and the children have many different environs with which they occupy throughout the course of the day -- from the classroom, to the playground, to the awesome greenhouse/garden! I highly recommend CMP as a great way to further your child's development in preparation for kindergarten.

Finding the right daycare or preschool is a pretty stressful experience. Every parent wants to ensure that their child is taken care of during the day, and with childcare becoming more and more of a necessity in most households, it has launched many preschools that seem to be very business driven. I have no problem with big business, but when it comes to my son, his wellbeing & happiness should be at the forefront. In my mind, that is what sets Carmel Mountain Preschool apart, they are family-owned & operated, there is no big corporate office or shareholders to contend with. After visiting a few preschools, I had a worried sense that their primary focus was on making money, and the teachers were more like babysitters, no real curriculum to speak of. After visiting CMP, it took all of a few minutes to realize that this is where I wanted my son to be.

The teachers have schedules and give daily recaps of what they did that day, awesome. Our kids need to prepare for school, so structure and a variety of topics to introduce them to is exactly what they need, and what CMP offers.

There is a real sense of pride by the wonderful staff here, smiling and saying hello when dropping off my son every morning. They seem to truly enjoy working here, which means a lot to me, if they are happy, I am sure my son is happy.

Age-appropriate playgrounds are awesome, and lets the kids play & interact with their classmates. The Glenn & Art studio let them explore nature as well as their creative sides, which is so cool. They are not locked in a classroom all day, they still get to be kids while learning at the same time.

It seems as though there are fun activities planned for nearly every week, whether its a themed dress-up day (pajamas day), messy art day, concerts on the upper field, too many to name. It is so amazing to see the great care that goes into the care and wellbeing of my son and all the students at CMP.

It's been so incredible to see my son grow the past 1+ years that he has been at CMP. He has made some close friends, his social skills have really come along, and he amazes us everyday with new things he knows.

If you are looking for a preschool for your little one, run, don't walk, to CMP and try to get your child registered. This place is truly a gem, and your child will thrive.

My family is one of the original Carmel Mountain Preschool families 35 years ago. While the school has grown and expanded it has never lost the feel of being like extended family. My sister and I both attended and now my son is a second generation enrollee.

CMP makes sure that the transition is comfortable for the parents as well as the child.The entire staff is skilled at comforting parents while gracefully guiding them in letting go and allowing the child to become independent.

It is not just daycare. Carmel Mountain Preschool focuses on each child’s physical, social, emotional and academic development. They provide exposure to art, music, tinkering activities that develop fine motor skills and plenty of physical outdoor fun playtime.

My son has absolutely fallen in love with every one of his teachers! They truly love and take care of him as if he were one of their own. It is a relief to go to work with my mind at ease knowing that my son is being well taken care of.

Carmel Mountain Preschool has provided an environment where our three year old daughter has absolutely thrived. She loves going to preschool each day where she is greeted by her sweet, enthusiastic teacher, Mrs. Lisa. She creates an environment that fosters a love of learning and they encourage their students to develop independence and social skills. Our daughter enjoys going to CMP’s garden and art studio and ballet and the opportunity to spend lots of time playing outdoors. CMP is a really special place and we feel lucky to have found such a wonderful preschool.

My stepson has been attending Carmel Mountain Preschool for the last two years. Having been able to participate in some of the activities they have for the children there, it's quite apparent they have created a wonderful environment where kids can grow, learn, and thrive. We spent many hours investigating local preschools, and many aspects of CMP set it aside from others -- including but not limited to: dedicated and attentive staff, a greenhouse where kids can learn about growing flowers/plants, and carefully laid-out classrooms that promote a positive learning environment. When we have more children (and provided we remain in this same area) we will definitely enroll them at Carmel Mountain Preschool -- and I highly recommend you consider them for your children, as well.

We love this preschool! The teacher is fantastic and even the other teachers know my daughter's name. The facility is very clean with some awesome upgrades like huge musical instruments near the playground, an awesome garden, and a great art studio which our girl never stops talking about. Our daughter gets healthy snacks and is learning how to socialize with other kids. We've only been here a few months but so far very impressed and our girl loves going to her class to see all her new friends and learn new skills she tells us about each time she comes home from school. Thank you teachers and staff for making us feel at home and welcome at CMP!

We love CMP! My daughter has been attending the school for 2 year now. She started as a shy 3 year old with Mrs. Kristina and is now a confident 4 year old with Mrs. Shamby. We love everything about the school. The teachers are wonderful and she is learning so much! She really enjoys going to the art studio and also the Glenn. The facility is clean and the staff are so friendly. They have great communication with the families and send out monthly newsletters which I love. It's also great they are so involved in posting to social media. I feel like I always know what's going on at the school.
