ZUCCA Italian Restaurant and Bar

Overall amazing experience. Not music and the lights were dim so the focus was on the meal. Very tight, so don’t go if you might get claustrophobic. The service was great, very suit but didn’t feel rushed and the staff are amazing. Very personable experience. The selection of food is very good, and so is the drink selection. (For an Italian restaurant the wings are great!)

We had a lovely dinner here tonight!! Everything was just delicious and prepared with care. The service was wonderful, and the restaurant is warm and cozy. The mussels with white wine were scrumptious. The salad was delicious and the pumpkin ravioli were so well-prepared. The price was super fair. Everything tasted so good, so fresh, and so thoughtful. We were so amazed at what a great meal we had and for a very good value. We absolutely recommend this restaurant and will for sure return. We’re so excited to have discovered this gem!!!

Came here for the first time tonight as a recommendation from a friend. Did not expect it to be a little hole in the wall but those are always the best places. Issac, was very friendly and welcoming from the second we walked through the door. The customer Service is great, but the food is even better. All fresh Italian food and you can tell it’s made in house. Definitely will be back for more

Felt very welcomed. Service was amazing! My kids loved the chicken wings and calamari. Pasta entrees were delicious and serving size was enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch. We discovered this restaurant by accident and so glad we wandered in on this rainy evening. We will definitely be back and bring friends and family. Thank you for a memorable dinner!

This is my go to place for Italian food, the service is great, owners are there so they are taking care of the customers. Excellent food and they do customize the food to your taste, I like it little spicy. One place you should not miss, must try.

Incredible! I am one who never writes reviews but it would be a tragedy not to. Part of me didn’t want to as I want to keep this place as secret as possible, selfishly. Alas, I can’t help myself and would be doing a disservice to the Reading community (and incredible owners and waitstaff!)

Ok now, for the “review” part. We were in town visiting my Mom and decided to pop in here on a whim. It is a tiny hole in the wall place and anyone with kids knows that is not always the best choice for dining! We decided to give it a go anyway- without a reservation- and we were lucky enough to get a table. (Although i would highly recommend a reservation!) We were seated immediately and greeted by the friendliest waitress, Caitlin. She took our drink orders and endured the 27293 questions from our 7 year old with a smile. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start, bruschetta and calamari. Both delicious. When it came time to order our meals our son asked if they had Mac and cheese (duh). Our waitress, Caitlin, said they didnt have it on the menu but that they could absolutely make a version of Mac and cheese. He was thrilled with that- and a side of meatballs. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with linguini. My husband ordered the shrimp Veneziana and my Mom the Pappardelle Bolognese. Every single dish was a m a z i n g. Our very picky son was highly pleased and to be honest, I could have eaten his dish as my meal and been more than happy. It was so.freaking.good!! Easily some of the best Italian food I’ve eaten in a long, long time. We were pleasantly surprised.

Not only the food but the drinks as well. My Mom had some type of apple martini- I wish I could remember the name of it- but again, incredible. My husband ordered a couple old fashioneds which were not on the menu but they knocked it out of the park.

In between all of this deliciousness was a very fidgety and talkative 7 year old. The staff and come to find out, owners, were not only attentive, accommodating and friendly but also super patient and amazing with our son. The owner was so humble. He took the time out of his very busy evening to stop and show our son how to fold some super fancy napkins. Again. And again. He let him take a peek in the kitchen. They even unlocked their breakfast restaurant next door so he could go take a look and poke around. I mean, what?! Our kiddo is certainly not shy and we lovingly refer to him as “the mini mayor” as everyone in town knows him- but this was next level. Some of the nicest people you could ever meet. Delicious food and incredible service, what more could you ask for? Oh… but WAIT! F R E E limoncello shots on Saturdays. What the what?!

Do yourself a favor and GO EAT HERE! NOW! You will not be disappointed!!!

The food comes out very hot and is arrange in a very visually pleasing way. Tasted great, and the workers are very nice and hospitable!

Tiny, cozy little place with excellent service and delicious food. We shared bruschetta, and my husband had the salmon and I had the gnocchi. We shared a wonderful bottle of wine.

We had a great experience here and would definitely recommend Zucca!

Gem of Reading. Have eaten there many times and yet to have a bad meal.

The stuffed veal chop was excellent, but the service may have been even better. Isaac led us in all the right directions and we will be back!

One of the very BEST restaurants I’ve ever been to. The service, the drinks and the food were all five star worthy! Isaac is a wonderful person and he makes you feel right at home.

Probably the best Italian food I’ve eaten since I left home and my mother’s Sicilian cooking! Welcoming, friendly, and efficient staff. Cozy and comfortable space. Very, very reasonable prices. Give it a try!

We like it here for cozy atmosphere, delicious food that comes out piping hot, mixed drinks are good and wine selection is also good. I got shrimp Casanova and it was delicious. Service is great, the owner constantly runs up and down checking on you and memorizes your name for personal touch.

Had dinner here last night and the food and service were incredible. Atmosphere was very charming and comfortable. Issac called every customer by name giving it a very personal touch. He had great suggestions on menu and drink choices. We don’t live in the area but already trying to plan another visit to Zucca. .

Service, food was excellent. Highly recommend. Isaac was very attentive, made drinks and served as well.

Tonight was my first time at this establishment and my incredible night started with meeting a gentleman named Isehia. He was professional and friendly my party and I already felt at home. Before I could even settle in I was blown away by the incredible service this place had to offer. Very friendly staff and a comfortable restaurant atmosphere. The martinis were delicious and the food was even better I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s nearby.

Our first time here and it will not be our last. The four of us had the Cioppino dish, some fra Diablo and some white sauce, it was absolutely delicious. Cocktails were also very good. Service was great too. It was very nice meeting Isaac!
