Hotel Indigo Old Town Alexandria, an IHG Hotel

I'm very picky when it comes to hotels so it made me happy that there's no carpet in the rooms; the room felt clean and tidy. We walked to King St in less than 5 mins, we parked our car and didn't use it at all, you can walk around town or walk to the pier and take the water taxi over to DC. The front desk clerk was very nice and friendly, he spoke Spanish which made us fell really welcome.

The location of this hotel is just one of the outstanding features of this property - it's right on the water and we had amazing views of the river. It's also walking distance to the shopping and dining areas of Old Town which means that you can leave your car in the hotel (paid parking) and enjoy a stress-free wander through town. A dog-friendly hotel also made for a fun family stay. Staff are friendly and professional and we liked that there was a restaurant on-site. The rooms are a good size and while the bathroom in on the smaller side, it had everything you need. Will not stay anywhere else in Old Town!

Loved the hotel and location. Rooms aren’t super fancy by any means but they’re clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant downstairs (hummingbird) is pretty good and makes a good old fashioned. I’d stay here again!

I stayed here for a work related event and had a terrific time. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Marvin at the front desk. He made my stay. He also saved my skin when he helped me print out some work related items. Additionally, he and his colleague were so terrifically kind while managing several customers' needs.

John at the restaurant also deserves a shout out. He served our team and was nothing short of terrific. I had a great time speaking with him, always made our table laugh.

The hotel itself was great. The gym was everything you would expect - dumbells, treadmills, cycling machines, and even a cable system. The rooms were clean and tidy, service was prompt and delightful, and the food was terrific. Highly recommend staying here if it's an option!

A really nice place in a great location for Old Town. Rooms are nice and quiet, the staff is helpful, and the proximity to the river, King Street, restaurants, and bars is great. Buyer beware on parking, though - on the weekend, at least, the parking lot was extremely busy and it makes it tough to even get your car out if you've got a spot. There's a parking attendant down there 24/7 so they must have a way of working it out even if you get parked in, but it's more hassle than it's worth. Probably easier to just use rideshare/public transit if you don't absolutely need a car.

I spent a wonderful weekend at Hotel Indigo. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. My room was clean, spacious enough, and had a great view of the courtyard and river. Incredibly easy access to all of the great shops, bars, and restaurants in Old Town. You can walk anywhere in a matter of minutes. Parking was a very minor concern in my eyes. The underground parking is limited and very tight. I will stay there again.

Great location in old town near the water. Walking distance to everything. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, great customer service. Only quam is that one of the rooms in our group had a non working TV.

Marvin at the front desk just hooked it up with a water front view room. All I had to do was ask nicely. Really friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel!

Hotel Indigo is a great location for a relaxing trip to explore Old Town Alexandria. Room was nice, shower was amazing, bed was super comfy! Also enjoyed the Happy Hour at the Hummingbird.

Indigo Hotel in Alexandria, VA, impressed me with its impeccable cleanliness, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The friendly and attentive service from the staff enhanced the overall experience. Additionally, its strategic location added convenience to my stay, making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Hotel in my opinion is in a perfect location. If you want to stroll the streets of Alexandria, you can do it. If you want to visit DC, it's a short car ride away. The room itself has super soft beds which did not agree with my back. And for some reason the water pressure was low but got the job done.
Staff were all excellent, and very outgoing. The facility was spotless from the welcome desk all the way to the room and leading to the restaurant inside. The humming bird was also delicious and convenient.

AMAZING front desk experience, 12/28 evening shift. Amazing restaurant bar seating experience. Amazing room with an amazing view (top floor facing the river) amazing shower, amazing bed. Clean - simple - easy. Perfect! Housekeeping was so nice and accommodating.

I repeat, the shower is everything. Long travel days deserve this hotel experience at night. The accommodations overall and the experience in general is the highest score you could give it, whatever that might be.

The employees and location are what make this hotel a great place to stay. Employees couldn’t be more helpful, they really want you to enjoy your stay. Nice bar and restaurant on site. Highly recommend !

Had a very pleasant weekend stay here with my husband. Very comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to everything.

Fantastic wheelchair accessibility throughout! To begin, the valet was incredibly kind and accommodating of our needs each time we used the garage. The ramps, elevators, and accessible bathrooms were designed very efficiently. We loved the spacious room and very comfortable bed. We would absolutely return when visiting DC!

PS: having a snack market in the lobby was super helpful! Front desk staff was also very friendly at all hours of the day and night.

This place is great! My family stayed here for a wedding and there were just rave views all around. Also, the location can’t be beat in Alexandria. Right by the water and a couple steps away from the path along the water.

This place was nice, like a typical Indigo. Comfy bed, clean room, great colors and decoration, excellent restaurant. Bathroom has great water pressure. The location is outstanding. Near the riverfront, plenty of stuff to do. Parking is at the hotel or you can find plenty of other options nearby.

Breakfast was also good, lunch was tasty too.
