Balducci's

You realize you've made a great choice from the minute you walk through the door. The store is small but that is due largely to a commitment to carrying high quality items exclusively. I was shopping for lamb shanks. I had two in hand another grocer and was shopping for two more. The butcher shop at Balducci's not only had them in stock but they were over twice the size of the ones I picked up elsewhere. Just browsing their cuts was an experience to set any cook or chef's mind to imagining the possible. When I need fine cuts of quality meat I will keep these folks at the top of my list.

Quality products, delicious food and great customer service! I was honestly overwhelmed when I arrived (in a good way) and I would definitely recommend people to go and give them a try!

First time very impressed very large didn't check out every dept.will certainly go back I like to splurge once in awhile. Tourist if you ever visiting old town Alexandria you must stop by the famous Balducci started in 1916.

This is my go-to store for harder to find items. For example, they are the only store I know of (in the area) where I can find Niçoise olives on the shelf and different Italian pastas. The easy and free parking is also a bonus!

The store always exceeds expectations with their fresh seafood (so fresh it smells sweet!), their meats trimmed for you by a real butcher, their deli meats sliced the appropriate thickness, their fresh produce that lasts a good while in the fridge. Still loving them after many years!

I love this place. It is always clean and organized. Good selection of food and wine. I've been shopping at Balducci's for a long time and the store continues to get better based on what I've seen as I have been shopping. The staff are really nice, helpful, and sweet.

Such a fantastic neighborhood grocery store. Yes, prices are a little high, but the quality of meats, fish, chicken, and other produce and deli selections is far higher than anything in the area. Extremely friendly staff, the custom order sandwiches at the deli counter are always delicious and I’ve never been disappointed by anything I’ve purchased at the store. Highly recommend it!

The produce, meat, and seafood are all top-notch. They also have a great selection of specialty teas and similar ptemium products not carried by typical grocerystores. Like many people, I do tend to buy the specialty stuff here and stop again down the street for the sundries.

Great food finds hot bar is delicious and you can always find something delicious!!!!

It is very fancy, but if you're expecting to pay some money for high quality foods, you will not be disappointed!

Had to pick up some supplies when I was in town for a loved one who was stranded at home with Covid. I was able to get everything I needed at the store. Such a wide variety of items available here. Prices are about the same as they are elsewhere. I loved it there was a lot of options for people that had unique and or varied dietary needs. Store was exceptionally clean. And the staff were kind and friendly. I’ll be back next time I’m in town for my own shopping needs.

Clean, fresh selections in deli, produce well displayed. Great wine selection. The chicken liver pate is so good.

Great experience tonight shopping here for the first time. I was given a Healthy Benefits Card for healthy groceries through my health insurance and I was able to find what I needed and the store actually accepted the benefits card. Will come back soon! Both the cashiers/clerks were very helpful trying to help me!

Great selection of high end goods! Pricey, but quality costs noney and you get what you pay for.

They have things you can't find in other stores. Great deli, large assortment of cheeses. Bakery and wines.

Balducci's is consistently top notch. The knowledgeable staff are quick to help with questions or to make recommendations. While a little on the pricey side you're paying for not only what you're taking away but the bigger experience. I've never had an unhappy Balducci's visit and you shouldn't either.

This Balducci's has a great selection of foods (prepared,desserts,cheeses and breads) I only made it to the pastry counter. I went here specifically for a fruit tart and the display looked beautiful. We plan on having for our Christmas dessert. Staff are very friendly and attentive. It was my first time shopping at this location. Was very clean and the garage parking is easy to navigate. I noticed they also have a small seating area in the store if you want to sit and eat.

I stop in occasionally, usually when I'm looking for quick, restaurant quality food that I can take home for dinner but I have no idea what I want to eat. I enjoy perusing the deli and sushi counters, the salad and soup bars, and the prepared foods section to see what gets my mouth watering. And how could I forget the bakery which I usually avoid for the benefit of my waistline but must remember next time I need I pick up a dessert for a dinner party! Last night I ended up with a Waldorf salad, a tuna and salmon Nigiri tray, and seaweed salad. I also found a lovely Italian cheese tray that wasn't party size--win! These items, with this quality, won't be found at another grocery store. I picked up several other hard to find items there as well. While it is a bit pricey, you get what you pay for, and I'm so glad to have this as a nearby option and not just the Safeways and Giants of the world.

Love this gourmet grocery store. Excellent selection of cheese, wine, and meat. High quality produce and knowledgeable staff. Friendly, fast check out. It's my favorite grocery store!
