The Chateau Restaurant Waltham

Dined here as part of a group. The service was unbeatable. No mistakes in our orders. Generous portions. Great tasting. Attentive staff. Good value. I highly recommend stopping in for a meal if you're nearby.

I met an old high school friend here (50 years late). We sat at the bar. The food and the service were great. Nice cold draft beer too. Seriously, this place is very inexpensive. I work in the restaurant industry, and I was surprised at how affordable it is to eat here and how good the food is. A big shout out to our bartender Nancy. She was wonderful. Made the whole experience even better.

Food here is pretty solid, plenty of space. Definitely recommend making a recommendation during peak dinner service hours.

One of my favorite restaurants. Visited this a thousand times when I used to work in Waltham. My favorites: Fried calamari (Rhode Island style), chicken wings, chateau special pizza, toasted ravioli. Their Italian trios are delicious! Huge parking on the three sides of the restaurant. Bar is cool too. The only downside is limited beer collection. But that can’t be a dealbreaker.

We have not been in the area for years. So glad to know the restaurant is still in business and the food did not disappoint. I had the chicken Marsala which was bursting with flavor and my husband had the chicken Alfredo which was creamy and flavorful. A friendly wait staff and reasonable prices made for an enjoyable dining experience. We will be back this way in April and bringing along several family members and friends.

A local, family-run institution. Very solid, reliable family-style Italian done well. From Italian classics like toasted ravioli and lasagna, to more creative Italian dishes, seafood, and even turkey dinner as a special, the kitchen does a really nice job. The service is always friendly. I love checking out the photos on the walls of various places in Italy, trying to guess where they are (and reading the tags under the pictures to see what the actual location is). If anyone can explain to me how the inside can be so much larger than what the building looks like from the outside. I'd appreciate it. 🙂

Fried ravioli did not disappoint and the lemonicello cake for desert was so light and flavorful. Oir server Brandon was extremely helpful and was extremely quick to meet any request we had. What a pleasant restuarant to spend our evening!

The Chateau in Waltham is a blast from the past, a big-food Italian place with classic cocktails, grandma's red sauce, and scali bread. The decor is 1960s Italian-American living room. Tonight I had a martini and lasagna-meatball-chicken parm combo, and loved every bite.

This is an old school restaurant that is very hard to come by. It's nice to be able to go to a restaurant that's been in business long enough to be part of the history of the community, and to get great food at a reasonable price at the same time! This was a win!!

We had a "Celebration of Life" here; 78 dinners. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. The service was great.
They worked with people who had dietary restrictions.

It doesn’t matter if you like Italian, seafood, meat or just a pizza, burger or sandwich. They have it all! We had a party of seven and due to Covid-19 there was a maximum of six at a table. The host went out of his way to take me into the dining room and show me available tables adjacent to each other. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating to our needs. The food looked so great when it came out we all started digging in before I remembered to take some shots of the food. They start you off with a nice big basket of delicious Italian bread and butter. I’ve never had a bad meal at the Château. They have 2 huge parking lots available. The prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent.

I went here with my Great Grandma when I was a kid, it was her favorite restaurant. Definitely still great. Will definitely come back

Authentic classic restaurant! We visited with a team, they were very accommodating! Super friendly servers, they had our orders prepared quickly. Food was delicious!

Great Italian and seafood dishes

We ordered through Uber to go and it was delicious! Will get again when I return.

The Chateau is in no way a "five-star" restaurant in terms of upscale dining, but they did go out of their way to provide a five-star experience. They were very accommodating to our larger party and I felt as though the service was excellent. Great values on wine by the bottle for sure. I really enjoyed the Mezza Bolognese as did another in my party.

Favorite spot to visit when I travel to MA. I love the food here and I opted for the Broiled Haddack. It was out of this world! My wife was jealous as she opted for the fish and chips, which she loved. Great service, always Checking in to make sure things were ok.

Had to be in the area for a doctors appointment. We got the whole belly clams delivered to our hotel (dined in the hotel room due to Covid) and they were fabulous. We probably could have shared one meal. They were lightly breaded and fried golden brown - not over fried as you usually get. They were probably the best clams we have had.
