Hyatt Place National Harbor, MD

Crazy to see this hotel rated 3 stars. The Hyatt was amazing and very enjoyable! Free breakfast, brand new and very clean rooms! Staff welcomed you every time you entered or left. If you needed anything they brought it up to your room! Safe spot too you needed to scan you key to enter past a certain time. Will definitely choose the Hyatt next time I visit the gorgeous National Harbor!

What a wonderful stay I had at the Hyatt Place. I was there for work but brought my husband and baby and had a perfect restful evening on a comfortable bed with amazing views to the river. They also left a treat in the room which was so thoughtful. Breakfast was varied and delicious. But what wowed me really was the staff. Shelton, Alyssa and Michael were delightful and even the GM, Ted, was on his hands and knees helping my husband look for his phone (which was in my purse - oops). Overall I couldn’t recommend it more! 5 stars all the way

I'm a flight attendant who spends 75% of my time in hotels, so I know when I'm in a good one. The moment I walked in, I knew and so did my friends and family. I hit the jackpot recommending this place. The greetings were genuine, the professionalism on point and the rooms were immaculate. I loved Mr. DAY and the entire front desk staff, bar staff and housekeeping. Moving forward, I won't stay anywhere else.

Good size rooms and really good breakfast. I was worried about parking but right across the street is a really nice garage with in and out privileges at $24 a night. I prefer it over Gaylord hotel.

Beautiful King suite overlooking the Potomac, with great views. Clean and spacious. Awesome customer service. Included breakfast was absolutely awful (rather inedible) but not too surprised, there. Would definitely stay again.

From booking to checking in 5 stars. Front desk staff is very approachable, friendly and courteous. My wife and I decided on a mini staycation and the location is definitely worth it. We had an upgraded room to a water view. Which was beautiful watching the sunrise and set. Breakfast is basic but good and fresh. You’re greeted with smiles and good mornings off the elevator. Rooms are clean and Secure. Looking for a room when visiting? I highly recommend!

My family and I had a great experience at this hotel in late September 2023 in a double room.

Our room was great quality, clean, and had a great window view. The restaurant downstairs serves good pizza, steak, and shrimp for dinner. The open buffet style breakfast in the morning was a nice touch to finish off the trip.

The location is a very short walk to the Ferris wheel and other shops and restaurants.

Our one annoyance in our room was the walk in shower had a metal flush style linear drain and when you finish your shower, you will hear a metallic ringing sound when the water drops onto the drain. It sounded kind of like a tin can shaking.

Hyatt Place hosted our company’s two day team offsite. Great location to all of the National Harbor venues, but particularly the waterfront. Let’s face it— when it comes to hotels, the room and it’s amenities and the service staff are what’s most important. Hyatt does both with excellence.

Was honestly one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at! The hotel is a little pricey but worth the money for the location. You’re a short walk to many stores and restaurants. Room was very clean, everything was updated. We had an amazing view of the river from our room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bar Harbour (the restaurant on the first floor) was convenient. The staff there were very friendly but they were definitely very short staffed. A long wait for food and drinks but everyone had a positive attitude which was great! Parking was a little pricey as well but was easy to access. There is a garage directly across the street from the hotel for guests and we paid $24 a day to park there. We will be staying here again in the future!

This review details an event we coordinated with the Hyatt National Harbor.

We worked with a client who wanted a beautiful venue for her son's first birthday. She had a lot of family come in town and wanted to give her guests a nice venue in a great location. Hyatt (Shelton) was immediately responsive to our inquires as we tried to find the client a great spot. Shelton took us on a tour of the facility prior to the event and was so accommodating to the clients requests and questions. The day-of venue coordination (Elisa) was so great to work with. She responded to so many last minute requests and was just so flexible to our requests. The continued communication up to the event made us very confident that the event would run smoothly. The also assisted with a room block at the clients request.

The venue was also so accommodating to the client using a private caterer because she wanted to include cultural cuisine. While the venue has their own kitchen that was providing a few snacks, they still were so gracious to an outside caterer. In general the venue made it very easy for all vendors to come set up - decorator, baker, balloon delivery, catering, etc,.

Finally, the other staff were so amazing to work with during the event. ALL of the staff were so helpful, kind, and made the event a success! The positive attitudes were such a plus and made us so happy to work with a great venue like Hyatt.

Recommend this venue to any coordinators or party planners!

I worked with Shelton Blue at this property for a small block of rooms I needed for an event. The property is perfectly located and seems brand new. The rooms are large and property has nice outdoor area. The meeting rooms have great views, and have some flexibility. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Shelton was professional, timely and friendly. I will return to the Hyatt Place and would recommend it to anyone needing accommodations in the area! (Especially for small events or overflow accommodations!)

This place is very beautiful and has eye-catching scenic views of harbor, including Capital wheel and boating tours. Very decent and family-friendly place for kids ages, from toddlers to teenagers. There are bunch of kids play rides. There is a lot to explore.

The hotel is situated right on the harbor near everything. The staff was great, including the bartender Mo. The room was very nice and spacious. Within walking distance to all the restaurants and bars and only a 5 minute ride to MGM casino. Parking was the only issue. They do not have their own parking garage, which I understand due to the location, but they could at least offer some kind of discount. The parking garage is around the corner and is quite pricey per day.
Also, if you're traveling with family like I did (3 rooms all adults) and decide to meet up in one of the rooms keep your voices to a whisper. Someone called the front desk because we were too loud and was told if they had to come back the police would be with them. They weren't rude or anything and we respected the request. It was only around 10:30pm, but I have been in some very nice hotels were the people on my floor was quite loud a lot later and didn't feel the need to report it.
With that being said I still give the hotel overall 5 stars.

So I'm currently here and I had to give this review immediately. This whole hotel has exceeded my standards. Their service and cleanliness is impeccable. The rooms are big well laid out. I have stayed in a 5 star hotel but this beats that hotel by far. I would definitely be looking into staying in a Hyatt moving forward.

The staff were AMAZING from the moment I walked in, tired! They seem like a very cohesive team. The hotel bar has a wonderful view of the Potomac River and some good jerk wings. If you choose a river view room, you get the same view as the restaurant and there was an amazing sunset and sunrise.. The TV has the mirroring option to watch shows and movies from your phone. Breakfast was nice, I just wish I could have made my own waffles lol.

Loved everything about this place! The staff was kind and helpful. The hotel is a bit newer than a lot other Hyatt Places in the area and it feels more upscale as well. Breakfast is included and has the typical Hyatt Place lace spread.

Room: King Bed Suite

This was a nice sized suite with a great view of the Wheel and the harbor. The bedroom was huge that has its own AC and TV along with a desk area and an arm chair in the corner. The living area has a separate dining area with a small kitchenette that had a fridge but was missing a microwave. The bathroom had a shower and 2 sinks with a private toilet.

Connectivity was great. WiFi is included. The TVs support casting. Outlets and USB ports on both sides of the bed and everywhere else you'd want them to be.

Parking is across the street, make sure you get the hotel pass from the machine in the garage that allows you to enter and leave as you wish.

Antoinette in the restaurant was OUTSTANDING! Very personable, catered to all of our needs and just plain fun to be around. Excellent customer service!!!

Beautiful hotel and the location is great everything is walking distance. The rooms were very clean and the staff was really nice and always smiling and helpful. The restaurant staff were very friendly the food was good. I enjoyed my stay no complaints.

I just finished a great week long stay at Hyatt. Location is very convenient for conferences, dining, nightlife. National Harbor is a very intriguing area, very walkable.. and a short ride to DC proper.

I had a lovely, spacious room with a great view!

Every staff member I met went above and beyond to accommodate and they were all so friendly and welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again.
