Sticky Situations

Spending a romantic three day staycation in Old Town, Alexandria and caught the Water Taxi for a day in National Harbour, MD. Already knew the Capitol Wheel, waterfront and dining would be memorable, but the perfect unexpected surprise was Sticky Situations & Extra Virgin and its wonderful staff - Kim and Anne (owner take notice please). My wife loves to cook and she was in heaven. Owner clearly is a student of cuisine (and hires brilliant staff). Rang up pasta, olive oil (today was tasting for all), honey and sauce and while selecting, Kim and Anne were a font of suggestions. I will be blessed for many meals thanks to this shop. Final mention, Anne and Kim even held all (packed tidily and doubled bagged) while my wife and I sauntered on a glorious November day, and at the end of the day II ran back and picked it up for our Water Taxi home. A real treasure in National Harbour. Keep up the fantastic work.

love this place. They have a wide variety of flavored honey, cooking oils and syrup that you are able to sample before buying. The service was great. The prices are reasonable. My favorite is the orange blossom honey. I also bought the lavender, peach, and hibiscus honeys, and a margarita avocado oil.

This place is AMAZING!! I Love honey, so when I walked in and saw that you could sample everything, I started bouncing up and down!!! There are soo many cool flavors and the layout is adorable. I would love to see them really use this space and prepare some dishes using their products. Maybe a collab with some local chefs and vineyards. They have suggested food pairings and facts about the bees with is cool. I bought 8 jars and can't wait to start using my tasty tresures!

Fun twist on honey, oil, and vinegar. Amazing flavors and a must try.

What an amazing experience! I took a group there as the first stop of the Wine Crawl. Everyone loved it! The varieties of oils, vinegars, and honeys was more than any of us would have imagined.

Nice addition to the National Harbor area. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have so many infused honeys and you get to try them all. The cinnamon honey butter was my favorite. Tasted just like a cinnamon roll. The woman told me I could use it on oatmeal or even sweet potatoes. I will be back for more

12/1/22 UPDATE: I love the management of this store so much, that I have changed my review to 5 stars. From my interaction with them, I am sure that my experience below was the exception and not the rule. They really care about the products they sell and the people that visit their stores. All the products I have tried have been DELICIOUS and my interaction with Jenn made me feel like a valued customer! My family and I intend to visit again really soon.

11/25/22: This was my second time going here. I bought my daughter who was excited to experience the store. Unfortunately, when we walked in, we were not greeted. The people that came in after us were greeted and I had to ask to have repeated what she told them. The taller woman with the dreads repeated it but with a lot of attitude and no apology. I did not feel as welcome as I did the first time at all. No information on how to use the honey/mustard, etc., as before. When we checked out, the register shut down without giving us a receipt. No apology. We checked our account to make sure there was no charge and asked that a different register be used for our transaction. Still no apology. A lot of attitude. The 2nd woman on the other register did say sorry and thank you, which was appreciated. After leaving my daughter said she will not be back because she did not want to deal with the attitude and the lack of customer service we received. Sad. We would have bought more of the very expensive honey if we were treated as a valued customer. I don’t know why we were treated so poorly, but you just lost several customers because of it.

If you love honey this place is for you! I was in town visiting and came across this shop! I love honey so I had to stop in. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Along with there honey they had the most amazing honey mustard I’v ever tired!! I loved the garlic honey mustard. Bought for me this time but I will be buying online for Christmas gifts.

The woman helping us knew so much about all the honey, tea, olive oil, and vinegar. She even convinced me to try garlic honey. What a great experience

Tried my marinade suggested by Quesha. It’s was amazing!! Fresh garlic olive oil, Harvest Riesling vinegar, and lemon honey. Salmon will never be the same again. Highly recommend!!

Had a great experience at this establishment. So many different infused honeys to try coming from reputable locations. Quesha was very helpful in answering all of our questions and helping us decide on what products to purchase. I will be back again.

My daughter absolutely loves the cinnamon honey butter on everything.! She makes sure to not let me forget it during breakfast.! Great place.!!! Definitely worth the visit.!

Wow!!!!!!!!! Where do I start its one of those places you add to a day out. That best kept secret hoping you was the first to discover it. Quesha mix and match ideas was great made you want to buy everything in the store. Iam so looking forward to mixing up a few of my own .
