The company overall is super involved with and supportive of the community, which we love, and Pete spent an exceptional amount of time and care finding us the perfect home. As first time buyers, we had loads of questions and hesitations, but Pete and E&V were always patient and ready with answers. We will not hesitate to use them again.

We were in Minnesota during our search so we relied on Jens to give us a video tour of the home, tell us about NC real estate laws and practices, and arrange an inspector. Things went smoothly. We had an excellent experience and we made a new friend in Asheville.

Working with Bethany Behrmann of Engel & Volkers of Asheville was a great experience! She is very professional, very knowledgeable, and very supportive. When we say supportive, that is a mild statement. Living in Florida and searching for a home in the Asheville area is very challenging to say the least. We were initially entertaining the idea finding property and building our forever dream home. We even had a builder lined up with the floor plan we wanted. All we had to do is find the lot. We only had 3- and 4-day weekends to search for properties and Bethany without hesitation allotted those short widows of time for us at the expense of spending time with her family and friends. We spent miles and hours looking for the perfect lot in our price rage. She even went as far as setting up video chats on properties when we in Florida. And we found the lot finally in the Arden area. We signed a contract with a “right to terminate before breaking ground”. That is what we had to do because the builder estimate just for site work was over 110k higher than the allotted 80k for sit work, and this was a fairly level lot. I can’t imagine what they would do once we got into building! We ended our arrangement with the builder. Why do I tell you this; is that Bethany spent these hours and days with us for commission on just a lot. We did look a few houses along the way and discussed our likes and dislikes of the homes and their settings. Bethany was very keen on listening to my wife’s and our conversation about areas and what we desired for surroundings, lot size, ability to exercise, walking and riding bikes, and being fairly close to desired nearby amenities. In one of our earlier visits, she took us to the Biltmore Lake area but the options were out of our budget. On our last trip to the Asheville area a home came up in the Biltmore Lake subdivision. It was slightly higher than our budget but it was a show piece of a house. Beautiful inside and out, gourmet kitchen, landscaped beautifully, and fully fenced for our dogs. Wow what a find, and best of all no remodeling. Without Bethany’s hard work, keen ear and persistence we would not have found our “forever home. We highly recommend Bethany, and I am sure she will treat anyone else who uses her office with equal service and commitment.
Best of all I believe we have found new friends with her, husband Yens, and her daughter.

With his constant efforts, escrow went unusually smoothly; he helped arrange all the inspections, dig up old deeds, and coordinate with the lender.
