The breakfast is delicious! I had the fried chicken with pimento cheese. The prices are more than fair and the coffee has a nice balanced flavor. Cool atmosphere, too. They have penty of outdoor seating on a nice day and they are dog-friendly. They are all about saving the earth and recycling, which it was nice to see my values align with a great business like this. Thanks for the great experience 😀

Love this quaint restaurant! Came here for a late lunch and definitely was starving after a long drive on the parkway. The food and ambience was truly amazing and definitely a top notch place for a break.

P.S. my wife left her purse here and after momentarily freaking out, we found it here and they were gracious enough to come back after hours to help her out! Good people do still exist!

Homegrown (West) is a fun place near Carrier Park to grab a meal, but I’d suggest a lunch over a breakfast. Very limited breakfast offering, but lunch menu is more robust. Fresh food, definitely a southern fare flair. Fun place to eat with fun seating, friendly staff, wife says you have to try the cheesy grits. Prices are fair.

Great coffee shop! Lots of awesome drinks to choose from and a solid food menu too. Welcoming and charming, staff is friendly and inviting. Can't wait to go back!

Food is great. Had breakfast sandwiches. Get th local saucage - very good. Coffee is spectacular! Hash brown could use some onion and seasoning.

Warning - they only sell bagels now and NO other food! The menus posted here are wrong. Just went and they told me they stopped serving most food 6 months ago. So good for a coffee/bagel, but not a meal.

Visited this place while they were doing a Billyween meet-up during Billy Strings' Asheville Halloween run. The whole place was busy, which made us all very happy, the food was great and the drinks were spectacular! Make sure you get a bloody mary!

I found the best Cuban sandwich in all of Asheville. That’s all I’ve got for you but if you’re into those don’t waste your time elsewhere.

Very cool spot across from the river. Turkey sub is great. I would come back no doubt!

Amazing Coffee. Great atmosphere. We had the Cinnamon and Honey and the Raspberry Chocolate. Amazing. The staff were polite and friendly. We had breakfast here as well. I know there are a lot popular coffee spots in Asheville but this one was the best we tried.

I wish I had taken pictures because this place was so freaking cool! Home Ground is a very cute coffee shop attached to a bar with so many places to sit- inside and out!
I was there around Noon so only the coffee shop was open but there were signs that live music was happening, in the evening, and I think that’s such a great venture for that!

The food was great! I got a basic chicken salad and a mixed berry smoothie and they did not disappoint.
The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to!
Where you order is a little cramped but it opens up so much when you get to the seating areas!
Right across the street from Carrier Park, it’s a great location! I parked my car at the restaurant, ate lunch, and then was able to walk across the street, walk the track, and lay in the grass!

This place is doing it right! High quality dishes made to order. We visited twice one weekend while vacationing in Asheville. Everyone in our party loved their food. Order your food at the bar and enjoy their indoor and outdoor sitting areas while they prepare your food. Worth the wait for amazing food.

Great lunch spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. Extremely satisfying and good portions. Employees personable and service very reasonable. Love this place on my bike ride along the river.

If you don't like kids and dogs stay away from this place (and me!) Back yard area perfect for eating drinking and watching the kids (furry or otherwise) play. Home grown has been a favorite of mine for many years and the food never disappoints always so fresh.

This place is fantastic! I had the Breakfast Pot Pie with Hashbrown Casserole, oh my, both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is really fun and the service was super friendly. A true gem tucked away in West Asheville. If you're in the area, be sure to stop in. If it's an out of the way destination for you, take a detour and enjoy the pause, you'll be glad you did.
