Ron's Gourmet Ice Cream Dedham

This place is amazing! I arrived at about eight minutes before closing time and they were happily open with smiles on their faces which was awesome. I had just been to JP licks for ice cream, which is very expensive and very stingy with their servings but the line was painfully long so I decided to try to make it to this Ice cream shop.

What a great decision!!
The ice cream was fresh and flavorful, chock-full of almonds and chocolate chips, in a creamy, coconut ice cream. It’s definitely one of the best ice creams I’ve ever had! I highly recommend trying it. I live in Quincy it’s only about a 20 minute drive from my house and which is absolutely worth it!

When you revisit one of your favorite childhood places, you always walk in hoping that it will be as good as you remembered, and usually walk out disappointed. Luckily, Ron's was just as good, if not better, than my childhood memories of it. The inside has been redone since those ddays, but the ice cream is just as delicious as it was back then.

Ron's ice cream was smooth and creamy, and the flavors of both the coffee madness and rum raisin were delicious. The rum raisin had a beautiful sweet cream base with a smooth rum taste. The coffee madness was a conglomerate of coffee ice cream, chocolate cookies, almonds, and everything blended together perfectly into a delicious bite. I got a regular size (2 scoops), and the scoops were bigger than average, so overall a good deal on price for the size and quality.

One additional thing that I loved about Ron's is that they are very allergy conscious. Not only do they have signs reminding you to tell them if you have an allergy, the sign has all the flavors with nuts in them in a different color, to make it easier to tell if something has nuts in it or not. As someone whose partner has a nut allergy, I can tell you this saved us time in determining what was and wasn't safe for him (and me) to eat.

I would highly recommend stopping by Ron's to anyone who is a fan of good quality ice cream, and I plan to stop back in again if I can before I head back home!!

I've been going to Ron's since I was a kid and after decades of being a customer and sampling countless ice cream shops all over New England, I've realized Ron's truly is the best! I don't live that close to their Dedham location anymore but I make the 30 minute trip just for Ron's - I can't settle for any other ice cream now. I get their quart sizes to hold me off for a few weeks. It's always worth it!

What a pleasant surprise! The homemade ice cream delivers its promise of creaminess. It is one of the best area ice creams I have ever tasted.

I am basically an ice cream fanatic, and have indulged in a huge amount of ice cream up and down the east coast. I have to say, Ron’s is still my favorite ice cream of them all! Certainly not the cheapest of ice cream, but if you are serious about quality it is well worth the price. Fantastic flavors and a consistency that can’t be beat. My favorite flavor is peanut butter explosion. They also have frappes, milkshakes, lots of toppings, etc. A great, no frills, local ice cream joint that’s been around for decades and has been consistently excellent.

Fresh. Great quality. Smooth and creamy. Ron’s gourmet ice cream really is the best ice cream in the entire Boston. I ordered a medium and they gave me 3 giant scoops. I can’t imagine what a large is like. I’ve never order a large before. I love this place!!!!!

Ron's Gourmet Ice Cream is a fantastic place for ice cream! The Oreo flavor (Technically it's Cookies n Cream) was some of the best I've ever had! If you're in Dedham, please take a moment and get some ice cream from here.

My kids can't get enough of Rons. They love the ice cream, especially since they have great soft serve. And the small is not that small!!. I especially appreciate they are one of the few places that have my favorite flavor, Ginger. So good.

A Boston staple. Not many words are necessary - the ice cream is consistently tasty, smooth, delicious, not too sweet. A plethora of flavors with vegan and sugar free options. I grew up here and Ron's is a must whenever I'm back in town.

Took a detour for an ice cream and were greated with this classic american ice cream shop. Classic flavours and delightful combinations of various well known variants. The selection is broad enough to satisfy everybody, the price is affordable, the toppings abundant, and, most importantly; the quality is great. Rich and deep flavours, not artificial, and lovely texture. Recommended

Ron’s has quality ice cream...it’s pretty much ruined almost all store bought ice cream brands for me. I regularly have a pint of either Oreo, Dutch chocolate, or rum raisin in my freezer but you really can’t go wrong with any flavor.

The best darndest ice cream ever. I love ice cream and Ron's has never disappointed. My best friend lives near by and we argued over the best ice cream place until he proved to me this was the chosen one! Also has a second location!

I thing fantastic may be too reserved of a word for how amazing this place is. There is a great selection of ice cream and and toppings. Great customer service! Very friendly and attentive to your ice cream needs, and yes that is a thing. Must visit!
