Dragon Star Chinese Restaurant

Our family always enjoys the food from Dragon Star! The fried crab meat bites were delicious are a great new menu item! Lunch specials are fantastic for on the go pickup when l used to work in Washington Square. We love the various dinner specials Delights and Happy Family!!!

Great value -- we loved most of our dishes. Singapore Rice Noodles, Beef with Broccoli, and Fish in Black Bean sauce were all great. Scallion pancakes were OK. The Peking Ravioli and Hot&Sour soup were not to our taste though others may like them. We will come back and try different things.

Bare-bones take-out place with good food that has been located here for decades.

As of 03.10.24- ‘Closed for remodeling’ sign on business door. No mention of when remodeling will be finished.

As of 03.29.24- DragonStart is open (they had to renovate due to fire damage).

Great food at great value, buy two large of the same dish and get.the second one half off, wow!

We always try the lo mein noodles and they offer buy one and get one half price for most of their meals. The food is always tasty and good. Compared to other restaurants, they are very inexpensive and great quality and quantity for that price. We have been going to this place for almost a year now and still we don't get tired. Nice place and great customer service, food is ready within minutes. Worth a try.

Unlike the usual american chinese cuisine, it tastes better than others.
You have to bring cash if your food under 15 dollars

delicious and fast. cash only for charges under $15. small portion is plenty for me.

I stopped here after an appointment in the area, first time here, so I didn’t know what to expect.

STAFF: Gentlemen at the counter didn’t mind answering my questions or altering my food order, he was very nice and no attitude, It’s an open kitchen: you can see the chefs do everything while you wait

FOOD: Crab Rangoon, Boneless Spareribs, White Shrimp Fried Rice, Chicken Teriyaki, and Spring Roll: No complaints on anything. Everything was demolished. 🤣

PRICE: MANY OF THE APPS/ENTREES HAVE BOGO OPTIONS, WORTH TAKING ADVANTAGE OF.

I LIKE THIS PLACE. MAYBE YOU WILL TOO.

Excellent service, twice as good food!

Dragon star is excellent inexpensive Chinese food. They have been my go-to for years. They deliver extremely fast (they will tell you 45 mins and show up in 25). Dining in is not recommended, they have the ambiance of a laundromat. Plus, they closed down due to ensure safety during the early days of the pandemic, and now that they have reopened they always wear masks!

Easily the best Chinese food outside of Chinatown!

Our go-to spot when craving American Chinese takeout! Service is fast. Staff are friendly. Awesome quality and quantity. Huge menu with so many great dishes. I would highly recommend this neighborhood staple!

Just got some veggie Lo Mein and I had to come give it a great review. Ready in 10 minutes, prepared perfectly and provided with silverware and a fortune cookie - all for $7. I’ll be back.

I've been looking food good Chinese food since moving to Boston. I've finally found it! It's really tasty and inexpensive. I got kung pao scallops. The scallops were large and cooked well. I'll definitely be back.

Very quality cheap American-Chinese food. The crispy sesame jumbo shrimp was exactly what i was craving. Generous portions and interesting dishes!

Very nice place - great selection, very tasty food, quick service. Shrimp fried rice is incredible. Totally recommend.

From Brookline and personally prefer Dragon Star to Golden Temple. Especially if you are interested in crab Rangoon, chicken fingers, general Gau chicken. For whatever reason despite the price Dragon Star is far superior!

Fantastically spice taste, even for their unspicy foods. If you like good Chinese food in amount that could be used as a blunt object, this is your place. (And the spare ribs are excellent too!)

My wife and I often order take out from Dragon Star. Their food is perfection itself. Everything they cook at Dragon Star is so delicious.

Excellent customer service! The staff is very friendly. The food is excellent. The crab rangoons are among the best I've had. Got to try it.
