The Inn on Lake Superior

Our #1 go-to place to stay in Duluth. Hands down the one place we always enjoy visiting. Be it the heated rooftop pool (yes, a rooftop pool), the indoor pool+hot tub+sauna+workout facilities, the more than accommodating staff, the breakfast offerings (with Duluth-sourced coffee), the location, the rooms or the S'mores...you can't be this place. You just can't.

I was not given a room with the view that I expected to get. But the room I got was absolutely perfect. It was wheelchair accessible, which I needed. The room was big enough to move around comfortably. The bathroom was also huge and had a handicap usable shower. My family enjoyed the inside and rooftop pool. In the evening, we made s'more at the fire pit. The breakfast was a complete buffet. There are many shops in walking distance so leaving our car at the hotel with no problem. I would stay there anytime I'm back in Duluth.

If you’re a tourist looking for a great hotel to stay at in Duluth, I would recommend this hotel. Because here’s why:
The location itself is really beautiful, it’s in the middle of canal park and if you choose the right room, you would have a breath taking view of Lake Superior itself.
The rooms are nice and tidy, I didn’t notice any problems.
The Pools are very nice as well, the big pool and the whirlpool near the lobby are well cleaned, same as the one on the roof as well.
Overall, I would recommend to be here for a vacation.

Our go-to spot for every trip to Duluth! Every lake-view room having a private balcony gives plenty of opportunity to relax by the lake, watch boats arrive to the harbor and even see the sunrise if you get up early enough! The hotel's amenities are also wonderful, including smores on the patio every night, a tasty warm breakfast, and even a rooftop warmed pool open almost year-round.

Our stay here was fantastic. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We had originally booked at a different hotel that was quite a bit pricier. We switched our reservation here and we got a better view, discount for staying 2 nights in a row and great amenities. We appreciated the continental breakfast and the staff provided little things that we did not have with us such as a razor, corkscrew, and champagne glasses. The pool and hot tub were nice. We especially enjoyed watching the large ships come in and out of the harbor. Top it off with some hot apple cider and s’mores…. Wonderful and cozy.

We have stayed at the Inn on Lake Superior but have not been here for a number of years. We stayed over the weekend and had 3 rooms in our party. We were within walking distance to the holiday parade downtown and bentleyville. The front desk staff was very helpful and polite. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We can't wait to come back next year

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary! (We stayed in the room with a jacuzzi). This hotel did not disappoint. The rooftop pool was such a fun experience for us. The hotel was clean, had comfy beds, offers a great breakfast and the staff were extremely accommodating... They even surprised us with wine and chocolates. We will never forget this. Highly recommend and will come here again.

Spent a few days unwinding. Walked, ate, rode the trian, toured the harbor and relaxed on the patio overlooking Lake Superior.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location on Canal Park is wonderful if you want to be close to the shops and not worry about parking. Check in at the hotel and take a relaxing stroll along the shoreline or the many shops in Canal Park. The evening s'mores were a hit and the back patio near the boardwalk is worth it. The rooftop pool is a bit small but a beautiful view and quiet place to relax. The indoor dining and pool area is great to hang out and enjoy your day.

Had fun celebrating mt sons birthday, swam in the outdoor pool on top open all year!

I enjoyed sitting on the deck, people watching with Lake Superior in the background. The rooms were nice, and breakfast never ran out. My only comment would be to allow guests to use their own streaming apps such as Netflix or Amazon. Basic cable sucks late at night.

My significant other and I came to the Inn for a night out to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time at this hotel but we were very impressed! I especially loved the complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately the rooftop pool was closed due to the weather but I wouldn’t mind coming back in the future to get that experience! We had a view of the full lift bridge from our window, and the view from the dining area by the entrance is absolutely beautiful. We booked the King whirlpool suite which was super nice and clean upon arrival. The only issue I could think of is that the hot tub could use a deep cleaning as I noticed some kind of buildup in the corners. Otherwise, we had such a lovely time and I plan to come again in the future! Thank you Inn staff!

Had a great 2 night stay in lake view king room. Great view of lake. Excellent location, whether hanging in canal park or going out on the town. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds. Bathrooms need updating and the room could use a little extra deep cleaning. Overall, good experience. Definitely recommend.

A very nice hotel, rooms are clean and up to date. The rooftop pool is cool, and you're just seconds from the shore of Lake Superior. The bonfires out back at night was a nice touch as well.

Hotel is located right on the Duluth, MN. Lake Superior Lake walk. The hotel is clean, comfortable, staff is friendly and breakfast was very good. In the evenings they have Smores on the patio. Location has two swimming pools, with one located on the rooftop. Duluth, MN. is a fun relaxing vacation destination. Everything around the habor/lake area is located within easy walking distance. Duluth is also a dog friendly city so your four-legged friends will be welcome as well.

I loved everything about this hotel. From the front desk to the top-notch service from the staff, we had a great stay. The view from our balcony was so pretty. Next time, I would like to stay on the lake side. It's within walking distance of everything that Canal Park has to offer. And it's super easy to jump on the freeway and head north along Lake Superior. We will 100% be back!

Our family really enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool, service was excellent and breakfast was very nice.

Hot tubs are louder then regrets in life lol... made it a little hard to relax, but I found a way! Rooms were in great condition. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful location was great right in the park of everything that you could want to do.
