Grandma's Saloon & Grill

Showed up as a group of 8 for a bachelor party. They were very accommodating and were able to sit us in about 20 minutes. The waiter was polite and conversational, great recommendations and good food. The cheese curds taste like a Wisconsin staple and the steak was delicious. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant. Also had a great selection of domestic and local/craft beer.

We have been to Grandma's a few times through the years. But this is my first review. We had about a 10 minute wait on a Friday night. We sat at the bar and I had a bloody of course! The loaded bloody came with pickled herring and I don't know if it was a green been but that thing was SO SPICY by itself.

We ordered the dill cheese curds. They were SO good!!
I had the baked mac and cheese and it was very good. It's almost like they use a wild rice soup base for their Mac and cheese. I would find little pieces of carrots and it I could pick up tastes of a chicken pot pie. SO GOOD.
My husband ordered a Cajun chicken dish on a bed of wildrice. He describes it as GOOD. LOL!

I recommend this place to anyone looking for some good food!

The Godfather Italian beef was delicious, and I could see the Aerial Lift Bridge from our table window while my girlfriend and I anxiously awaited a big ship coming through! I love that they also have penny press machines here!

Unique and satisfying! Duluth has many great places to eat, and I would consider this restaurant to be near the top in terms of food and service (shoutout to our server-in-training Emily!) If you're in the area, try this spot out.

For me, this is a must stop for dinner every time I head up to Duluth! It's a family tradition for us and just such a cozy and Minnesota vibe. The food is always good and comforting with a midwestern spin on the classics. Cute little gift shop and chocolates in a service case for purchase.

This place is one of our go-to's!!! The fish sandwich was amazing. We love their burgers, salads and pastas as well. Service was phenomenal as always, too!!!

Stopped in for lunch, waited about 10 minutes to get a table but the handy text updates were great! We started with the dill cheese bites that were spectacular! Could’ve had more they were so good! First time eating here (the smell of food from outside pulled us in), sat inside in the ac, loved the decor and atmosphere. Service was great as was the food! Portions were really good, kids loved the fries and the option of ordering half the monte was very much appreciated! Prices were a little high for a family of 5 but with great service, large food portions and quality of food it was definitely worth it! We will definitely be back.

Such a fun experience. I’ve always wanted to go to this restaurant and now I can cross it off my bucket list. But I would like to go back again some day. There is so much to see. There is so much history and most of it if not all of it from our state of Minnesota. Seeing some of the displays brings back fond childhood memories. Our food was very good. Our service was very good too. We didn’t have reservations but we’re seated almost immediately. It was definitely a busy place and I would encourage reservations so you don’t miss out

Fabulous Fish Sandwich! Very generous portion, done to perfection. Lightly crisp and browned outside, flaky, moist and absolutely delicious! Love that they do lettuce and tomato with a good tartar sauce along side. Our servers were phenomenal and came in a timely manner, checking back without hovering. Our 'school' of friends and our experience went 'swimmingly well,' and we left full to the 'gills.'

We always enjoy Grandma's. The food is always cooked well and delicious! We make it a point to come here at least once each time we're in Duluth.

This place definitely lived up to the hype! It is impossible to go to Duluth without going to Grandma's, or at least hearing about it. I've lived in MN my whole life and heard about and seen Grandma's all over but didn't know if it was really that good until we went ourselves. The atmosphere is great. Cozy, homey, and yet energetic as well. The food was amazing! The sauces on our pastas were creamy and delicious. The cheese curds are the best we've ever had! I definitely understand the hype around Grandma's, and we'll be making it a must-visit every time we come to Duluth.

My family and I love grandma’s. Very nice place to eat at and they accommodated a family of 10+. Wait time wasn’t too bad. Our waiter was very friendly! The food is delicious!

Didn’t have any food here just sat around the bar and had some drinks. The bartender was great to talk to. She talked about different things to do in the area. She was also very good at making drinks. Wasn’t too busy when we got there but the bar area started to fill up. She was awesome at keeping everyone with a drink in front of them. The mango Long Island ice tea was very good. Plenty of space to sit and hang out. Would be a great place to enjoy some time in the summer out on deck.

Excellent food, and the staff are amazing. The walleye and wild rice are terrific.

Friendly and yummy. Had the chicken pot pie. Taste just like a grandma made it. Warm and comfy dish. I wish I could have gotten a Tshirt! They're pretty cool! They're all out of Medium.

We had friends from Australia here for a week..we are from southern Minnesota and I've never visited duluth so we all drove there...loved the view decided to stop and eat...so very glad we did..small wait time before seating and then we were greeted by Richard the most geniun fun guy ever...he took our experience from amazing to unforgetable..the food was Incredible thanks to Richard's recommended choices and we just had a really great time this guy deserves all the tips he can get ..wish I could get him a raise myself lol..everywhere we went that had service we would say...it was okay but sure not as good as Richard was lol...thank you soooo much for a great time we will be back ourselves and when our friends are back in 2 years we have made that a must stop again..!!!!

Stopped at Grandma's on the way through Duluth. Service was great and food was ok. Menu and tap list had a lot of options. I got the Dante's Inferno sandwich with the ghost pepper cheese. I wouldn't recommend getting the ghost pepper cheese option. The sandwich was good, but the cheese was just spicy without having any good pepper flavor. It came with crinkle cut fries and they were cooked to perfection! Overall, the experience was good and I would stop here again!

Our server Kate was amazing! She took great care of us, and went above and beyond! The wild rice soup was incredible. The chicken sandwich was delightful. The smoked pulled pork hoagie with the Carolina sauce was magnificent. Even the kids mac and cheese was great!

Grandma's is one of our top favorite, fun, unique restaurants to stop in when exploring Minnesota. There is so much to see in there and enjoy. The food is spectacular & doesn't change its flavor, which is something special. The little handmade candies are a hit for when we leave, not to mention how beautiful it is the second you step outside. You must try anything wild rice while there & do yourself a favor and bring home a bag of the Wild Rice Soup to enjoy for days to come.
