Lift Bridge Lodge, Ascend Hotel Collection

Right by the bridge, so when the ships come in you hear the horns LOUD AND CLEAR at all times of the night. I loved it, but ymmv. We had a suite. It was spacious and comfortable. Two large trees blocked the view out of our balcony BUT we got to see adorable squirrels being ridiculous so definitely worth it! Bed was FIRM. I hate that but lots of people love it so if you like it, this is THE PLACE for you! Clean and spacious bathroom. Heavy curtains to keep it dark unti you're ready to get up. All in all, one of the best places I have stayed at.

We stayed here as a family years ago when the hotel was under the Comfort Suites brand. It was a nice hotel then in a great location. Now it is a fabulous hotel in a great location. Loved all the updates including one of the best complimentary breakfasts I have had as a frequent traveler and the expresso in-room coffee machine--awesome! And your staff was super helpful including with the parking of our group's tour bus. Thank you and hats off to your staff!

The hotel property was very welcoming. The room was large and the view was spectacular. They have self serve laundry. Pool and hot tub were available and clean. Attendants were not particularly helpful or friendly, but polite. Great location right in the Lakewalk and walkable to shops and restaurants, as well as the aerial Bridge.

We came here to stay one night to celebrate my twins girl turning 4 yrs old, had family attend to also celebrate and it was very accommodating. We were allowed to use breakfast area for food/ cupcakes. Overall really pleasant stay.
Room was overall clean but did notice a few things. 👍🏻
Definitely will be coming back.

We have stayed at many places in Duluth. This was our first time staying here this past weekend. We were blown away at how friendly the staff was, cleanliness, cozy rooms, the breakfast was enormous, amazing location, we couldn't have asked for a better place. Glad we spent a little more, it was totally worth every penny. We will be back!!

Vacay/birthday getaway. Couldn't have picked a better spot to celebrate and relax. By FAR the best suite I've stayed in. Fireplace, jacuzzi, walk-out deck with an amazing view of the lift bridge, and a breakfast buffet in the morning. Wonderful experience and I'll definitely keep this place on my mind for future events.

My personal favorite part of this stay was the location. We walked 90% of the time we were here. Great view of Lake Superior from the room. Service was great, and very efficient systems in place.

We always stay at the lift bridge lodge. The view of the lake is awesome. The rooms are a little expensive. The breakfast is awesome.
The coffe they offer is spectacular.

This hotel was great! We will choose this everytime. It’s the best location to my son who’s stationed there in the coast guard. The room was great, the food, room etc. The staff was very attentive and polite.

Rooms were large, and the staff was helpful and friendly. We did find a lot of hair around our room as well as a dirty toilet and towl in the closet. Regardless, we will return.

This was a quick trip for the weekend. We had room 220 which is close to the stairs and the elevator but had a nice view of the lake. Unfortunately it rained the weekend we were there so cloudy, wet and damp - certainly not the fault of the Lodge. Location is closet to the Lift Bridge, Grandma's Restaurant in Canal Park. Furnishings two queen beds, a TV, small refrigerator, a microwave, a desk, the bathroom was nice sized and had a combination tub/shower.

Breakfast is good scrambled eggs with cheese and without cheese, sausage, sliced ham, American potatoes, assorted bagels, donut, and bread, fruit cups, assorted fruit, juices (apple, cranberry, and orange). Milk and coffee too. There is a separate area to make your own Belgium Waffles.

There is a pool located near the entrance to the hotel. We didn't use it but seemed to be a draw for kids and teens while we were there. I'll end this here. I believe this gives you an overview of the hotel. Its not 4 star but it's nice for a weekend or week getaway with family and friends. We normally make a few trips per year to Duluth and we usually end up staying at the Lodge.

Great location on Canal park. Comfortable and spacious room. Bedding and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was substantial.

Top notch! Room was great with a nice view of Lake Superior. A little smaller than we would have liked for the price. Kind of pricey hotel but we wanted a nice location. An excellent hotel nonetheless. The breakfast was great! The nice patio in the back. Great porched deck in the front! Being right in Canal Park made it all worth it. Service was wonderful

We have always enjoyed staying here. This year we talked to some of the staff and asked who owned the Hotel. He said the owner was very nice and treated the staff like people and not just employees. Good for the owner and I will stay here again because of that.
Breakfast was very good, great variety of hot/cold food.

Spacious and comfortable rooms available with or without a lakefront view. Exits out the back of the building take you directly to the lakefront and canal park. A short walk to the pier to watch the big freighters come in. Excellent service and free breakfast (including scrambled eggs, some sort of meat [ham slices, sausage patties or links], toast or bread, donuts, muffins, yogurt, cereals and juices. Also a make yourself pancake and waffle bar. Well worth the stay if you are in Duluth vacationing.

Wonderful stay at the Lift Bridge! Staff was exceptional. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was great. Great location. Will definitely stay here again!
