Watson's Candies - Walpole, MA

The candy and chocolate is amazing here!! It's a small place but has been a neighborhood staple for 80 years. I just went for the first time and I can say I'm impressed. The staff is what makes this place extra special. Upon entering, I witnessed a customer that didn't get something they wanted, but the cashier was very friendly and helpful to them and worked with them to get what they wanted. I was also assisted in making a nice Valentine's gift basket by a worker who have me good tips on what to include in it. They took their time to make sure I got my requests fulfilled and even threw in a little extra for free! I would absolutely come back again!

Love this chocolatier. Their chocolate is divine, it's my go to for every gift and indulgence. During holiday season you can see the staff in there coming out from the back with all the different chocolates - they are made there right on site. There's really good about special requests and custom orders. They also do birthday parties and special events. Their attached Scoops ice cream window is fantastic, they get their ice cream from Richardson's.

What a cool little place. They are a family run business and make chocolates the old fashion way. They always give a tour of the whole place where you can see the magic. They have a big selection of chocolates . The chocolate have nuts ,some have marshmallows, some have caramel and alot more variety. The chocolate is fresh and smooth. Everything is so fresh from the dust of salt to the nut filling. It's a big difference from store bought chocolates. Price is for decent for handmade chocolates. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely, recommend you drop by to try them.

Watson’s offers a variety of candies and chocolate. Scoops has been my favorite ice cream shop since I was a little girl. They have hard serve, 24 flavors of soft serve, sundaes, frappes, and root beer floats! Highly recommend! Great customer service at both!

Really sweet place with an ice cream shop. Unfortunately, it is in a very noisy location on Rt.1A but there is a very delightful shaded area with 4 tables to have your ice cream that makes up for the noise.

As a child my mother and I walked a mile to town three or four times a week. Those trips always included a walk to Watson's Candies and watch as they swirled the chocolates and the smell of the chocolate was mouth watering. As time went by my mother's favorite gift was still a box of chocolates from Watson's which was from 1954 thru 1990. We moved to New Hampshire. Every time I went back for a visit I would try to stop in. Happily I found the website and they ship!

Watson's Candies brings us back to a sweeter time when local candy makers and bakers prided themselves in the art and science of creating sweets in small batches. Watson's customers are the true beneficiaries, whether it be enjoying some phenomenal homemade fudge, truffles, chocolate bark or holiday-themed concoctions -- especially around Easter, Christmas and Valentine's Day. While I have never met an item here that I didn't like, the real draw for me is that the staff is so welcoming and warm, and that the business still thrives after 80 years. So, it's not just the sweets that warm the heart and soul here. Rather, it is the overall experience of such a well-run business that has withstood the test of time. With that said, the craving for some Watson's maple walnut fudge is currently overwhelming any other thoughts at the moment!

Everything at Watson's is amazing. Growing up eating it has turned me off of junky candy. They make the candy fillings in the kitchen and then hand dip each one into chocolate in the back. The Needhams (coconut creme) are addicting and their caramels are soft enough to chew. The seasonal candy selection is the best anywhere. Whether you need a token of your appreciation or a really nice gift there's always great options. Christmas SELLS OUT...order early! This business has been in Walpole since the 1930s and has passed through multiple generations of the 2 families who have owned it.

Great selection of chocolates .A must place to visit they treat you like family. Great place for gift ideas and they ship products.
