I purchased my husband a pair of Red Wing iron ranger boots for Christmas at this location. He is very particular about his shoe fit size and his shoes in general so I really wanted to make sure we got the right size. To avoid any confusion I had him come in and try him on with me The sales representative was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the shoes. My husband ended up deciding on a size too large. After wearing them around at the house he realized they were too large so we took them back into exchange them for half a size smaller. If you read around and look online everyone says these Red Wing boots run about a half size to a full size larger than other shoes. We have found this to be true. My husband ended up trying both pairs on and spending quite a long time deciding on which size he liked more, after some deliberation he decided on half a size smaller than he generally wears. I'm horrible with names, but I'm 98% sure Josh is your guy. He was amazing. Knew what he was talking about. I haven't been there in 10 years I'm sure but he pulled up an account from my old job, went to three pairs of boots and I walked out with one. I made him earn his money, and I appreciate the time and knowledge he put into my purchase. Hey Josh thanks. I wasn't thinking about inserts, and that's my fault. I've been buying the same Worx boots for about 12 years now, and the gentleman who assisted me asked if I would be interested in trying something different. He presented me with a few options that he thought I might like. After trying them on, he suggested trying on a new pair of my same old boots. I ended up going with my same style boots, but greatly appreciated him taking the time to show me something else he thought I might like better. Plus, the dude was funny to boot (pun intended). I've been a fan of Tim and his team for over 10 years and this new guy seems to be a great addition.

Rapid City is a difficult place to shop! However for great boots - Red Wing is a wonderful go to place, great staff, fun and professional. Thanks for making our community a great place to live and thrive!

Wide selection of foot ware, had exactly what I needed. Salesman was knowledgeable about the boots I needed and got me a awsome boot for my $ range.

I walked in and was quickly greeted by a professional associate. He quickly noticed that I was wearing one of their products on my feet and assumed correctly that I was there to purchase a new pair of boots. He was extremely knowledgeable about his products. After looking me up in their database and a short discussion about other choices and showing me a few options, I was out the door with a new pair of the exact same boots I had on. This is just the way I wish all shopping should be done. I'm very happy with the boots and the service I received.

Absolutely the ONLY place I will buy my work boots and casual shoes. The quality the best I have found. The customer service from both Josh & Tim is like no other shoe store. They care about what you need for your feet. There has NEVER been any pressure to buy something I didn't want or need! The only place to go for your footwear!

I had only heard good things about the experience at Red Wing Shoes, and they did not disappoint. The staff was extremely helpful in finding me the perfect pair of boots. The quality of the shoes are wonderful. Though their products may be expensive, I would argue they are definitely worth it.

Traveled here from Kentucky to visit family. My boot was giving me problems stopped in and they warrantied my boots without any problems. Amazing customer service. Guys working we're super friendly.

Excellent service and amazing boots! I bought a pair of hiking boots that I use for work. Used them in a mechanic shop to building fence. Had them for 3 years and wore them almost every day until the soles finally wore down and they got slick. Oil them often and the leather will last forever. Can’t say enough good about them, just received a new pair hope they are as good as last pair!

This place is amazing! The gentleman measured my husband's foot to start. Then went and got a couple pairs of boots for him to try on. He went through many pairs and different types, just to get the right fit. Not once did the gentleman make us feel like we needed to hurry, he was there to find the best fit for my husband. If you're looking for an old school feeling along with exceptional staff, this is your place! We will be going back to take our son to get his boots for school!
