A unique little cafe downtown! I love thrifting so it was fun to shop and enjoy a really delicious and affordable breakfast. Plus the owners were so kind. Will be back!

What a really cool local gem! We wanted to get away from the chain restaurants and decided to give this place a try. What was once a consignment shop-turned restaurant, we really enjoyed not only the food, but the atmosphere itself! Aside from the kitchen area and the tables, the inside still looks like a store. This really makes this so unique! The staff are very friendly, and the food is very tasty....tastes just like homemade!! Great little place hidden away that is worth the visit!!

I finally got the chance to eat at the Mudhole and I was not disappointed. When you walk in you seat yourself, which is common in small cafes. I was looking for the big chalk board menu but they have since changed it to personal menus, but the food choices seemed the same. My partner and I ordered the Mud Bog because the reviews on that were plentiful and it was delicious! You pay at the Cafe window and they do take cards. On a side note the water was so good!

Loved this place, instantly felt welcomed like I had just walked into my aunts house and she was whipping up a hardy homestyle meal while catching me up on all the latest news/gossip.

We love Mudhole. Everything on the menu is great, but you have to have gravy on something. The owners are the nicest. The only problem is it isn't open on the weekends so we can go more often!

Such a fun and quiet place to get a great breakfast! I love the at home atmosphere and quality service. It was nice to not feel like I was just another customer there.

I go here a lot with my daughter. One of the best places for food in Rapid. Food is great, great prices, always friendly, even the other customers are friendly. They get to know their regulars. You can order to go if needed. I highly recommend trying them out if youre looking for a place that has good home cooked breakfast. My favorite is the cubed potatoes and Biscuits and gravey, best in town. My family loves this place!

this is the kind of place that as soon as you walk through door, you know you’re about to eat some damn good food. very welcoming and cozy atmosphere, great prices, and amazing food! I’m glad this was the first breakfast place I found while traveling through. Keep up the awesome work!

Don't be deceived by the exterior, go in, and enjoy the great food and friendly service and support local.

Decided to finally make my way around to the mud hole and I'm glad I waited. I went with the simple biskets and gravy with a side of bacon. Just absolutely wonderful. It was a nice and simple breakfast worth every but of the price.

Just a comfort atmosphere that doesn't make you feel like you'll be in a rush. Very warm and friendly staff thal greet you with an amazing smile.

Possibly one of the tastiest omelettes I’ve eaten… in quite possibly the most interesting little place. Really nice people in a down home spot.

It's like a 2nd hand store with food. Breakfast is delicious! Best biscuits and gravy! Hash is authentic, like I had in the old days!

Awesome gem in Rapid City. Food was amazing and made quickly, owners are super friendly... Definitely try their biscuits and gravy! We will be sure to stop here again the next time we are in the Black Hills.
