What a GREAT store! My daughter and I went in to get running shoes - the guy who helped us was SO knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating! He helped us find just the right shoes! Even though I live a good distance away I will definitely make it a point to visit this store again! 😊 🏃🏽‍♀ 😊

I came into this shop about 2-3 years ago looking for some new walking shoes. I am now in my 70's and very active. Did lots of running in my younger years. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. He recommended some NB and heel cork inserts which worked perfectly and was able to enjoy my walks again. Just purchased another pair today and do not require the heel lifts anymore. I highly recommend this shop.

What a great store. I went in to buy new Hoka Bondi 8s and actually bought an older version of hokas based on the owners recommendation. I'm very happy and will definitely be back. This runner's mecca is a must if you want a great experience buying running shoes or hiking or walking.

If your looking for some shoes and gear this is your place. It was a great experience talking with and learning from the knowledgeable staff at The Runner’s Shop. There is a wide variety of quality selections when it comes to running shoes, equipment, and accessories. I was able to find and purchase some Altras, which I love. The staff even adjusted my insoles for me on the spot. Thanks Dennis! Knee felt great during my inaugural run in my new Altras.

I left my home in Wisconsin for a vacation and realized the Birkenstock clogs were not conducive for extended distances. I had to get shoes. I went to a mall in Rapid City and immediately discovered I did not want to be in these shoe stores at all. I wanted New Balance, a reputable name brand. I was helped by an ex-army guy who actually knew a lot about the products in the store and was genially interested in having people get the right shoe. We fairly quickly settled on the 860 and was surprised how well they worked for me. They also have a system that evaluates feet while walking and should have done that. Next time I am in SD I’ll have to get some more shoes.

Just left here with some new shoes. I havent bought shoes in a very long time, and was not quite expecting the amazing service I received from this store.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marty and working with him to find the right shoes; he was very knowledgable about running shoes and had plenty of advice on how to choose the right ones. I will definitely be returning here again when I need new shoes!

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Tried on 5 or 6 different pairs to find the perfect fit for me. It was easy to tell that the gentleman helping me genuinely cared about getting me into the right pair.

I’m new to the area, and I’ve found my running store. I stopped in today hoping to find shoes from a specific brand. Multiple models were in stock (and in my common size—10.5), and the lady who helped me was very knowledgeable about the differences between them. There’s a large variety of other running gear, too. And the staff was not only helpful, but also very personable. I’m looking forward to needing another pair of shoes.

Brady did such a wonderful job helping me find a new pair of burks. He also told me how to take care of them, thank you! I am incredibly appreciative of the conversation and information I received. I would definitely return for replacements when they’re needed.

Great store! I went in for wool socks to keep my feet warm and ended up getting fitted for running shoes. I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis and needed arch support and cushioning. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Seem to know something about shoes, too. Perfect fit and very comfortable. I could not be happier! I've been wearing my Brooks running shoes for a few months and they have made a huge difference! (I love the socks, too).

I am not an expert in running shoes, but I do know this - the service I received at this store was incredible. The sales people asked me to walk down a hall several times to analyze the way I walked and made sure to find a shoe that would be appropriate. I then mentioned that the front of my running shoes often ripoed, and the person helping me (Jim) promptly offered to glue a small patch of leather in the shoe to prevent this from happening. I have been running with the shoes for 2 weeks now, and they are great. Great shoes, great service. If you are in the area and need runners, go to this shop!

The service at this shop is outstanding! I recently went in for help trying to find a shoe that would help an ankle in which I have bad osteoarthritis from a climbing accident. The owner looked at my stance and calves and the way I walk and directed me to a few options that would help my situation. It was so very helpful and the shoes relieved a lot of the pain I was having. Thanks!

Specifically stopped in to visit my friends Pat and Dennis while on a trailer trip. I had not seen them or their new location for quite awhile. When I lived in Rapid City I bought all my running gear exclusively from them. This time I purchased some insoles and had a nice visit. In the intervening years one thing had not changed, great service, quality merchandise, served with a smile. May these things never change. It was great to see you both again, Your friend, Sam.

Exceptional service. Knowledgeable and pleasant, not pushy. Visiting from Minneapolis and this shop can easily hold up to the best high end shops that the twin cities metro has to offer.

Notable high points include great, no nonsense clothing selection and excellent breadth/depth of shoe selection. Wish I’d had more time to sort through all the corners of the store!
