We went for dinner for a friends birthday and everything was awesome. We shared the oysters to start which I thought were fantastic! My girlfriend got the redfish which was panseared with nice crust in the outside, finished in the oven to perfection. The tomato salad was generously portioned with fries okra and a hefty mozzarella ball. Everything was phenomenal!

Upscale what I would classify as French-American (with some New Orleansy twists) restaurant in Black Mountain. A number of fairly traditional dishes combined with fried seafood offerings. Excellent food and service.

My Favorite restaurant anywhere! The food never disappoints and the staff is fantastic! Try to sit in the bar area, the vibe is off the chain!

Que Sera/Tayloe’s is the place to be in Black Mountain. The owner has spent a lifetime creating this exquisite cuisine that rivals that of any major city. You will not be disappointed with fresh, vibrant dishes with the best french creole cream sauces your palate has ever had. It’s like being transported back in time served to you in a small mountain town in a historic building. All in a very family friendly environment.

Be sure to ask for Sam as your server. Her electric personality shines through with decades of experience to cap off the ultimate dining experience. The menu will come to life with Sam’s trademark skill for specific recommendations tailored to your taste and that of your guest’s.

This may not be for you but everyone I have referred or met would disagree.

Great place for oysters and all seafood, nice atmosphere in the coolest town of Black Mountain. Will definitely be going back, super food, cocktails and desserts. Service was spot on and personable. Very highly recommended.

We were a group of 10 people who met for dinner at Que Sera. Reception was flawless, and the table set with necessary tableware.
Our server, Samantha, was friendly, attentive and knowledgable. Or drink order was taken in no time, and the wine brought out. We ordered a variety of dishes, which was served in colorful playes.
I had steak frites. The fries was amazingly tasty, the strak was great. A variety of fish and vegetarian dishes were ordered, followed by a variety of desserts.
Nobody had any complaints about anything, and we thorougly enjoy the evening.

We wanted some oysters and gave this place a try. The oyster bar is connected to main restaurant. Samantha was our hostess/server and did an excellent job. Food and service was great. We recommend this place.

Absolutely a favorite anytime I'm in town. The raw oysters and Que Sera chargrilled oysters are amazing. Blackberry Elderflower and whiskey fig martinis are delicious.

Such great fresh food. It's a Creole/Cajun place. We had Conch Chowder, Gumbo, Trout Almondine, and Fried Shrimp. The people there were very kind as well. Sat on the bar side and it was clearly a local watering hole.

Swanky little restaurant in Black Mountain. I like sitting on the Oyster bar side which is more lively. Fabulous fig bourbon martini! The food was delicious and the service was great.

Service and food were excellent! It’s never a comfortable moment when there is an issue with a meal, but our waitress went above and beyond in quickly correcting the situation, not making us feel bad, and helping us to have a wonderful experience. That kind of service means a lot! And the Redfish Hal was truly awesome.

Loved the food. Cannot say enough great things about it. The main dining room is very loud and the acoustics are awful. The bar is the best place to be when dining.

Tonight we met family for a birthday party. Everything was fabulous. The food was amazing and the service was amazing. We definitely will be back and we were disappointed in ourselves that we hadn’t been there before. Don’t miss this gem in black mountain.

We are from the Alabama coast and not far from New Orleans-this is the real deal! Wish we could move it to Fairhope. Barbecue shrimp/grits was amazing and the oysters!! Go for it😊

Oysters on 1/2 shell never disappoint; local trout with corn cake and lemon beurre blanc was yummy and another in our party enjoyed redfish hal. Always dine in Tayloes Oyster Bar for ambiance . Service was prompt and attentive. Great meal all around.
