Take Sushi Japanese Restaurant

We got take-out. Wait was only 25 minutes, and they were exactly on time. Service to pick up the food was very kind. The food is delicious! The rolls are generous portions, and the chicken katsu was phenomenal. This is our new Japanese spot!

Excellent, authentic Japanese foods. Sushi & sashimi are freshly prepared, as are the entreés. We always order family style and share our dishes, and almost always have enough for a lunch at home. I am not fond of the Japanese tea, but they do offer beer and soft drinks.

This is the best sushi restaurant around. I usually always order takeout and they will package it however you request. Its extremely fresh and very tasty run by traditional Japanese chefs and wait staff. ❤

This is my favorite place ever in Rochester. Everyone I recommend this restaurant to falls in love. The food is consistently delicious and the restaurant is always very clean and very cozy. The wait staff has always been very kind and attentive. I have not been dining in due to covid, but I highly appreciate the staff still masking to protect themselves and their patrons. Thank you for feeding me Take Sushi <3 (try the OMG roll!!!!)

Always fresh! They have a wide selection of seafood here. I am convinced that this is the most delicious place on earth. Sashimi wise— I think you get less value. But other than that, this is the best place around. Been consistently eating here for the past 2 years and it’s still my favorite! I get take out and the workers have NEVER gotten it wrong! Very friendly individuals. Couldn’t say enough to emphasize how much I love TAKE SUSHI

I love this place. Their regular sushi is good and their vegetarian sushi is good too. They have so many vegetarian sushi options. I support their decision to only offer takeout for a while.

I've ordered sushi from here a few times over the years, and they never disappoint. The staff is friendly, the prices are good, and of course, the sushi is always fresh and delicious!

One of the best sushi places in SE Michigan. We've made it our special occasion place, because the food is always perfect, prices are reasonable, service is extremely polite and attentive. New menus, and the topper is they bring the traditional warm wet washcloth so that you can clean your hands prior to eating.

Take Sushi is my absolute favorite place for sushi - both in Michigan and beyond. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and they happily answer any questions you have. The atmosphere feels clean but casual, and gives a comfortable feeling. The food is amazing - I’ve never had a sushi roll I didn’t like. We often dine in and place an order for takeout as we eat. You’re paying for the high quality ingredients and some of the best staff in town. Absolutely recommend for a lunch or takeout!

The sushi rolls all taste excellent, and the specialty maki rolls are huge compared to most places! This is my favorite place to get sushi from.

Attentive staff, cozy atmosphere. Free tea & miso soup comes with meals. Sushi was good as usual.

I stopped in for lunch and I was happy with my choices. Michigan Roll, seaweed salad, and tea. It was all very good.

I love this place! The sushi and gyoza were great, and the dining area is small and intimate. The staff were very polite and the atmosphere is very authentic. I wish I lived closer or I would definitely come here more often.

My wife and I had Take Sushi for the first time today. We ordered carry out during the pandemic. The woman that took my order took the time to read the order back to me. She was very pleasant and kind.

The entire meal was delicious. The sushi was fresh and prepared beautifully. The menu seemed neverending with more options and combinations than I've seen on a sushi menu.

However, what I was most impressed with was the way the restaurant was set up to keep the staff and their customers safe and healthy during the pandemic. First of all, the seating area is completely closed off by a plastic partition that has a cutout just large enough to hand customers their meal and take payment. They have a small table with hand sanitizer, hand wipes, a sign with a really nice message on it, a note about storing your credit card on file, and...get this...two cups filled with pens - one with unused pens and the other with used pens. When you sign your receipt, you use a pen from the unused cup and when you're done, you put it in the used cup. The restaurant sanitizes the used pens and replenishes the unused.

This is next level service and they've gained a customer for life!

Really love this place! Although the building is small, the sushi rolls are BIG! The staff is very friendly, and food is consistently good. I've yet to find an item I dislike (granted, I stick mostly to sushi & sashimi), and I love that soup & salad are included in the price of your meal. And for those of you that like an Andes mint with the bill... they do that too!

Toro! Nice to see they have it. And the hamachi was really good quality as was the majority of the sushi we ordered.

First time ordering sushi here & we were not disappointed. From the sweet women who took the order & greeted at the door, to the cute vibe & flavors, everything was top notch.
The restaurant is cozy & clean.
The chefs were fun to watch as they prepared orders and the sushi was simply fantastic.
