Oak Harbor Ace Hardware

Only place in Oak Harbor to sell meat grinders! Didn't make it to Walmart. I didn't have to. A select few to choose from! I'm very happy, but I didn't have to mail order one! That leftover roast and potatoes are gonna make a yummy hash tonight!

So much more helpful than home depot. Ask an associate and they take u right there
May be smaller than hone depot but u can buy in smaller quantities from people with good advice.

Colleen and Art knock my socks off with the help they provide there at Ace/True Value. Their knowledge and urge to assist is remarkable. Consider that the overall piece count of inventory must easily be in the range of 7 or perhaps eight digits yet as you walk through the aisles there I believe Art and Colleen could sleep walk you to any part/piece/tool/device in the store you are searching for!! They and the rest of the staff are brilliant. Helpful, kind, non judgemental, warm and friendly as the morning sun. I have been impressed every single visit. It is truly an Island Treasure. Support them and we can keep that treasure here on the island!!!

James at the repair desk went above and beyond looking at my ancient Stihl 170 chainsaw to see if it was worth repairing after I dropped it about 20 feet. Amazing customer service. I bought a new saw from him - he suggested an upgrade to the 171 and I took it. Great saw! I was highly impressed with the sales experience - he took me through all the operations of the saw and even put gas and oil in it and started it up just outside the shop. I've NEVER had that type of service before.

I had a different experience here one year ago, but now it deserves to come back here and give a big shout-out to Colleen and all the staff, everybody were so nice and attentive!

A great local store, with good service, good selection, and reasonable prices. People stand and visit with neighbors like an old country store.

I have been going to this ACE for 20+ years and have always had great experiences. Yesterday I purchased a Stihl weed Wacker and I felt like a VIP customer. Went to the back counter, they had the model I wanted already assembled. The gentleman working there was great. He showed me how to use it, even took it outside to make sure it was running properly and did some fine tuning on it, and let me come pick it up from the side door so I didn't have to carry it around the store. We will definitely be purchasing more Stihl products in the future. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We love our local Ace Hardware Store. We can't always find what we need, but we get the help we need to finish the job. In thos case we needed a seal for a canister. They didn't have one that fit in the store, but we were able to figure out what size we need to be able to order it on line.
Ace really is the place with the helpful, and knowledgeable, hardware people.

Great store! Locally owned and operated. You can find all sorts of amazing things that you can't find anywhere else in town. There is a fantastic fine gift and garden area. Most people don't even know that they sell unique fine quality decorative items for the home, soaps & lotions, clothes, bags, and hats. You can find ALL the cooking gadgets needed for fine dining. There is also extensive home canning, tea, and coffee supplies. You can also get a hunting or fishing license as well as supplies for either here as well. The BEST cleaning agents you can't find anywhere else locally and get a key made! The store is on the small side, but carries so many niche items it's absolutely worth the trip!

Have a cleaning job in Oak Harbor and had to rent a carpet shampooer last minute. I walked in and there were two people ready to help me and they knew what I was looking for and knew all about that particular machine and made it very easy for me to make a decision and a rent it quickly. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and a Gentlemen employer carried the shampooer out to my car for me. Excellent place for everything you could possibly need in your home inside and out and a team of great employees that are knowledgeable and very quick to help you. Excellent experience.

I will gladly pay an extra dollar or two here than the big box store up the street. The custom service, combined knowledge of the staff, and their friendly attitude is more than enough for me. I only wish they hadn’t gotten rid of some of their hardware selection when they reorganized the store! Overall, great place to shop!

Great place. Not like any Ace I have seen. Very well stocked and they had guns and ammo section. Very cool.

I don't care what you need always always go to Ace first. What ever your needs are you can find professional help there.

I really like this store a lot the people in all of the Departments really seem to know their departments or can find the answers to your questions. I wish the cashiers were a little faster. But other than that I really enjoy shopping here

Friendly staff. If they don't have something, they'll check their computer inventories. Huge selection of canning supplies. They also have meat curing, grinders, and butcher wrap.

Great store. Head here before home depot way better customer service and locally owned.
