This place was fantastic. In town on vacation, and my cousin only had one MUST try place on his list. Cozy atmosphere, incredibly attentive staff, and a wonderfully simple menu. Our server was an absolute delight. The food was delicious and was served quickly. The area surrounding the restaurant is quaint and adds to the overall experience. Toss in a superb drink menu, and you have a place I'm excited to recommend.

This place had great food and a fantastic view. The service was fast and friendly. We were a little surprised how pricey everything was but that’s not the restaurant’s fault.

Terrific restaurant with an amazing menu and a wonderful waitstaff. Get them mussels! I’d never had before but the menu has an extensive list of choices. This is what they are known for is their mussel entrees. You won’t be disappointed! Nice atmosphere in a neat little town!

Coupeville historic waterfont never disappoints, I love the colorful preserved pioneer homes. The wharf has a good variety of restaurants, my favorite is Front Street Grill. It offers good options plus a deck for sunny views of the Cascades and waterfront. The Chefs Seafood Soup & delicious local Oysters were delicious.

TDLR; Really good food in a really beautiful setting.

I will come back even just for the views on a cold rainy gloomy day! The food here has also been exceptional. We ordered an Arnold Palmer, a cup of chowder and the front street grill burger with the black bean patty. The house sauce that comes with the burger is so good, and the fries are very crispy!

My partner loved his chowder too!

During the month of October (the only time of the year we find ourselves in Coupeville), getting a table at Front Street Grill is a bit of a challenge. The quoted wait times are usually between 35-45 minutes (despite empty tables visible from the lobby). That's probably why we've never stopped in for anything more than drinks, despite multiple attempts. Reservations are very recommended!

The food looks great, the service is competent and friendly, and the cocktails are creative and priced similarly to other places in the area. They also hold regular fixed course meals and other special events, many of them reservation only, so be sure to check their calendar, and budget accordingly. A great family/minor friendly place to dine in Coupeville, assuming you can snag a table! If you're out-of-towners like us, plan ahead and save yourselves the wait!

Small seafood restaurant with a great feel. Wonderful selection of wines and seafood. I highly recommend the Mussels Rockefeller with extra garlic bread. Add linguini and it's enough to feed two people. I can't wait to go back.

I’m so glad I found this place on a day of wandering. I am fortunate enough to have travelled all around and been able to try seafood all across the country. I only say that to emphasize the sincerity when I say they have one of the best seafood dishes I’ve ever tasted in my life. GREEN CURRY MUSSELS.

I can’t stress enough how amazing that dish is. The perfect amount of spice, the coconut, the quality and freshness of the mussels themselves. Just perfect.

Don’t get me wrong… The oysters were phenomenal. Crab cakes were everything you would want from a crab cake. The staff was ultra friendly. Cocktails were perfectly balanced. But those mussels… I dream of them. Literally have had dreams of having that dish again. Get the side of bread to dip with it, enjoy it,

I look forward to ever finding myself in the area ever again and would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Top tier culinary experience.

Food and service were both excellent. Try the white bean and parmesan soup if they have it; absolutely phenomenal.

At Front Street Grill in the heart of Coupeville, one is met with a culinary experience that transcends the ordinary.

The Penn Cove mussels, a dish I sampled, were a masterclass in flavor — mouth-wateringly savory and cooked to perfection. It's not just the food that stands out; the ambiance is abuzz with energy.

Yet, even amidst the crowd, the service doesn’t skip a beat — swift, attentive, and underscored by a genuine warmth from the staff. It's a testament to their commitment that even during peak hours, diners are ensured a memorable experience.

I eagerly anticipate my next visit.

This was a wonderful restaurant at which to celebrate our anniversary...well worth the drive from our home in Langley. We started with the steamer clams and green curry Penn Cove mussels (which my partner was very happy to be able to get with gluten-free garlic bread). The clams were very good, and the green curry mussels were "out-of-this-world". It is their signature dish, and we could see why! I would definitely return for more of those mussels, maybe even make them a meal. We also tried the crab cake appetizer (good but not the best I've ever had), cioppino (so-so) and New York steak ( very good...excellent choice if you don't eat or aren't in the mood for seafood). The accompanying smashed potatoes and sauteed veggies with the steak were outstanding. You know how sometimes the side dishes seem like an afterthought in restaurants? Definitely not here! We finished up with the vanilla creme brulee...it was a very well done version. Our server Jaden (not sure of spelling) did a wonderful job, and the atmosphere and view were amazing. Note: We were able to get a reservation because it is winter, however, they don't take reservations between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and are very very popular in the summer with long wait times. ). But for us locals, it's a great place to go 9 months out of the year!

We recently stopped for lunch. The food and service were both fantastic! We had the caprese salad, the coconut green curry mussels, and the fired zucchini. Everything tasted great! I definitely recommend a visit.

This was so good! I had the Classic Italian fish stew in a tomato based sauce, brimming with fish, mussels, clams, and shrimp. Option to have it served with pasta or garlic bread. My sister had the mussels in a cream, herbs, and white wine sauce.

There are about 5 window tables overlooking the bay and local art hanging on the walls for sale. Service was friendly and efficient. Was quite busy for week day lunch which says a lot.

We parked at the town parking about a street above the town, a less than 5min walk.

Hands down we collectively agreed was some of the best food we’ve had at a sit down restaurant in a long time. We shared the crab artichoke dip, followed by fish and chips, and the bacon Gouda berry jalapeño burger - Food was well seasoned, delicious, and so fresh! We will definitely be back to visit!

We drove up from Poulsbo to spend the afternoon on Whidbey and finished our day with dinner at Front Street Grill before catching the ferry. This is one of those places where EVERYTHING on the menu looks amazing and the worst part of the experience was making a decision about what to order. We shared the fried macaroni and cheese and it was DELICIOUS. Our friends said it was the best clam chowder they've ever had. The raspberry jalapeno burger was perfect and the fries were so good. My husband had the brisket reuben and loved every bite. Our friends tried the bison NY strip and Whidbey mussels and we all agreed it was the best meal we've had in a long, long, long, long, long time. I can't wait to come back with friends and family and try something new on the menu. And service was great, even though the place was packed.

UNBELIEVABLE. I loved this grill and there food. The amazing choices that you have are great. The food is so amazing I can’t explain it. The clams were like dessert and the Ruben is so rich and delicious. I highly recommend the Ruben, muscles and chowder. The view of the local harbor is also amazing, I saw a seal and many types of birds around the water and docks.

Solid food option in Coupeville. We had the Green Curry Mussels with garlic toast, while my friend had Front Street Cioppino and chowder. Hearty big portions although on the expensive side - close to $50/pp after tip. Speaking of tip, since when is it ok to even suggest 30% on the bill? Why not kindly suggest the customer to leave the car keys along, if we’re at this?
But kidding aside, loved the food - the green curry mussels were plenty, spicy and delicious!

I just wanted a simple meal before driving to the ferry. I ended up sitting at the bar, chatting with some locals lover a wonderful okay if hummus. The staff were friendly and worked hard to accommodate everyone.

Just visited again last weekend. We had the best coconut prawns we have ever had! Our fish and chips and crab cakes were all also amazing. Always good service, great views and friendly environment.
