Stop here for some fresh mussels or chowder. Other menu options as well in a bar/restaurant atmosphere. Interesting history to the building as well. Very casual. Plenty of seating but could get pretty busy in season.

Always love this place! Every time we visit Coupeville, this is where we come. With that wait and always friendly staff.

Best chowder and amazing fish and chips!

Delicious food and really polite and attentive staff and servers. There was a bit of a wait because went at lunch rush but we were seated as soon as they had a spot. Food was well worth the wait and priced very reasonably.

We decided to stop in for a beer and stayed for 2hrs talking with the staff. What a fun bunch of great people! The entire team made us feel like locals and cookies+brownies were awesome! Visit for a beer when in the area!

A must try if your in coupeville. Large portions, friendly service, and great views. Clean, comfortable and affordable so what are you waiting for.
Recommend and looking forward to returning.

Dined in today and had 1 lb penn cove mussels. Was delicious! The restaurant was very flexible and allowed substitutions because my low carbs diet. Great service and a nice waterfront view from my table. Bravo!

I'm not deeply into seafood but the mussels here are incredible. They had a Thai curry mussel special and the flavors were amazing and exactly what we needed to warm up after a long, cold walk by the water. Great vibe, very cozy and friendly.

Went to Toby’s today with my mom. She is 85 and this is her favorite clam chowder go to. The chef here is Amazing! I asked fir Ahi Tuna on a salad. She went above and beyond. It was amazing

Delicious chowder and specials. Beer and wine with yummy food and cozy atmosphere. Not crowded but filled with unique things to look at. The bar itself is OLDDDDD. Cute chemistry amongst the staff. Wish i could come here all the time. Oh and the music is perfect and a great volume level.

Experience Whidbey Island lore. This destination was recommended to us by a well-traveled Deadhead, and didn't disappoint. Go for the spicy mussels. Not overwhelmingly spicy, and the excellent dipping for the garlic bread will assuage some of the pain that you didn't order two pounds instead of one. Excellent and attentive service... 'Toby's chicks' threw in a brownie for my brother on his birthday, after making sure he wasn't allergic to nuts.

Awesome service, awesome staff. This was my first time ever to have mussels, and they were very tasty. I think we only Purchased a quarter of a pound, but they were pretty good for my first time. The beer was also good, after the mussels we went and walked around and then came back for more beer and then I tried their fish and chips (holy smokes they were absolutely fantastic) and just to hang out and visit. The prices were affordable for a vacation spot. When we go back again to Whidbey island we will definitely go there, thanks for a great time!!!

Toby's is an island icon. I've been going ( 1-5x a year) since 2000. My favorite is to have a glass if wine and big bucket of mussels! It is fabulous pub grub with a great and unique atmosphere! Many good memories here!

Toby’s is a classic and I never want it to change - been here a few times now and the vibe is always immaculate. Get the mussels and a pint and watch the world turn from a cozy booth.

(1). Muscles were amazing (2). Beer cold n tasty (3). Server was hilarious (4). One of a kind ambiance! {Their cheapest craft beer was $5.50 a pint, not bad! + We ordered a pound of muscles, but GOT WAY MORE than a pound. Just a great experience}

The beer was cold, the mussels delicious and the ambiance was great. The three women working the place were running their tails off.

We stopped because a friend told how well they prepare their steamed Penn Cove mussels. The reality lived up to the hype. They were great. Especially paired with the Toby Parrot Red Ale. The staff were pleasant and fun. Great place to grab a beer and some good food.

This place is an absolute classic with an awesome atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly and the views and the food are fresh and fantastic

If you come during a lunch rush, be prepared to be patient…everyone here is working their tail off, so cut them some slack. :) Alex’s Drunken mussels were superb!
