High Rock Rentals - NC Luxury Log Cabin Vacation Rentals

High Rock Haven was very quiet and cozy. A nice place in the mountains to relax and still have the convenience of fuel, groceries and restaurants near by. Wonderful vacation! I would highly recommend.

We rented Timber Ridge. The cabin was so clean and luxurious. I didn't see my teen son except for meals. He had a great time downstairs playing his Nintendo in his vacation man cave. The home was very clean, the company had great communication and fantastic amenities. The setting beautiful, quiet and peaceful. We even saw a bear when he wandered up to the downstairs window. We
took time and hiked a trail on the property too. All in a it was one of the nicest homes we have rented and I hope to return.

What a marvelous place! We stayed at Hideaway at High Rock for two weeks after Thanksgiving. It was magical. The cabin was well appointed and ideally situated for our family of four (plus a dog who now regards herself as something of a mountain lion). The kitchen is well supplied. The kids (four and eight) sledded down the back hill, stomped in the creek, hiked the trails, created an excellent mud/snow kitchen and even played small-field soccer in the grass behind the cabin. This was the perfect COVID hideaway with Black Mountain and Ashville conveniently close. Though we are flatlanders from Florida, we did not have any problems navigating the gravel road with our front-wheel drive minivan. For the day and a half it snowed, we simply planned ahead, stocked up and enjoyed the winter wonderland. The internet/WiFi was fast and reliable, which allowed us to stay current with work and school. Mike and his team and family were unfailingly responsive, helpful and kind. The most important review comes from our kids, who are begging to return next year.

Since our first trip in late 2020, we have returned to High Rock multiple times, staying at Hideaway, Timber Ridge and Creekside. It remains our favorite destination. The Rosemans are wonderful hosts and the cabins are clean, well equipped and ideally situated. If you are looking for a quiet mountain retreat still close to civilization which is both pet and kid friendly, High Rock Rentals is the place!

Heaven on Earth! We stayed at Creekside and found the cabin and surroundings phenomenal. It had all the modern amenities. 📡💻 It was in Jan 2020 and cold - exactly like we wanted. ❄ Indoor and outdoor fireplaces with unlimited and free firewood! I could write a short essay on all the great aspects of our accommodations, the courtesies of the owner, and surrounding environment. 🖌 We have already booked a return stay (Longer) at The Hideaway Cabin located further downstream from Creekside. Exceptional and highly recommended! Can’t wait for our return visit in Oct 2020🏆

I mean we showed up to the place and there was a welcome the smell of pine and a bottle of wine there waiting!!!!
The location was in black mountain was awesome too. A charming town 20 mins from Asheville.
Totally worth every penny.

We stayed at the cabin called The Preserve and it was amazing. That place is equipped with all the necessary utensils, entertainment, and kitchen appliances. Loved loved loved the stay! Highly recommend!

This was our 2nd visit to Creekside at High Rick and we would highly recommend!!! The accommodations are lovely, and everything from the sound of the creek, watching the hummingbirds and hiking the trails, on property, make this a perfect getaway! We are blessed the Roseman’s decided to share such a beautiful piece of nature with us!

Such a great experience, from the customer service to the location and the beautiful cabin. We had so much fun exploring the area and even more fun just hanging out in the cabin. So many things to do, or do nothing at all. The setting is beautiful and the cabin had everything you needed. It is one of those trips no one wants to end and you look to see when you can go again!

You won't find ANYTHING like this in North Carolina! High Rock Rentals attention to detail far exceeds any other vacation home we have ever stayed at! Meticulously clean accommodations with every possible amenity you can think of! We are currently booking our second vacation in beautiful Black Mountain at The Hideaway Cabin! This cabin has 2 master suites, a game room, (pool table/ping pong), foosball table, a FULLY stocked kitchen, wrap around porch, situated on a flowing creek! There is a fireplace inside and there is a firepit outside that is fully stocked with firewood! Asheville and the quaint town of Black Mountain are both short, easy drives if you want to get out and explore. There are hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls nearby as well. The property managers are SUPER attentive and are available for any questions you may have! WE CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN!!

Our group rented three of the cabins--High Rock Haven, Retreat, and Preserve--for a wedding. All 3 were lovely and enjoyable in their own ways. Retreat has the best long range view (and an excellent Stiga table tennis table); Retreat and Haven had the most spacious kitchens; and Preserve has a lovely view of the pond and easy access to the trails. We were serenaded by bullfrogs and watched 5 goslings grow from babies to adolescents. We also saw two coyotes, tadpoles, a few snakes, a box turtle, and fabulous stars. The steep gravel roads challenged our Honda Civic, but all in all our time here was idyllic.

Not done with our vacation but ready to give a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review!

Creekside at High Rock has been the saving grace to our vacation! Form the airline to rental agencies it has been a story! But our home rental we got 110% right. What a magical place for my girls to experience snow for the fist time. Some advice from a first timer:
1: Book one of these cabins on High Rock Rentals (ours is perfect for a family of 5)
2. Number two needs this
**************PAY ATTENTION ****************
In the winter months DO NOT mess around! Get the 4x4 vehicle you won’t regret it when you easily get up the snowy/icy mountain. It has been a winter wonderland up here! It’s not an exaggeration though you need a vehicle that’s serious!
I would not trust the Asheville airport rental agencies. Specifically in our case HERTZ. They will over promise and under sell. (With no remorse or resolution) My suggestion is to use TURO you’ll get exactly what you are paying for.
3. There is an Ingles Grocery store very close before you head up to your wonderful escape. The kitchen is stocked with the essentials, so get what you need and you never have to leave!

4. I think this is the last point. Hopefully, you won’t need management, but if you do please know my girls who had very brief interactions with Mr. Mike think “he’s a really nice guy!” and we agree with the girls! Above and beyond great customer service.

We’ve only rented one cabin, but we’ve been back multiple times. That in and of it’s self should tell you that we love this place. Our cabin is extremely well stocked and well thought out. The property is so well-managed and everything you should expect in a getaway. We want to continue to come back here time and time again. We will be bringing friends and appreciate every detail provided each time we stay.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mitchell View in Black Mountain, NC! MIke has a beautiful property here with some amazing cabins, including ours. The cabin we stayed in had all the amenities you would want in a vacation property and really felt like being at home. We loved sitting out on the porch in the mornings and in the evenings just taking in all the beautiful nature around us. This is definitely a place we plan to come back to next time we want to vacation in the Asheville area. You will not go wrong with High Rock rentals!

My wife, friends, and I stayed a week in early April, and really enjoyed it. We stayed in the Hideaway cabin which was beautiful with great amenities: hot tub, fire pit, hammocks, comfortable beds, nice furnishings, internet, etc. Peaceful and tucked away, but close enough access to nearby sites. It made for a relaxing vacation. I would do it again.

Stayed in High Rock Haven over the weekend for my sister's wedding and it was unbelievable. Perfect meeting spot for my dad and three siblings plus our kids! Incredible views. Firewood. Hot tub. Exploring trails for the kids. Perfect! Thanks Mike!
