Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I didn't take pics of the food. I just got biscuits & gravy. But the atmosphere gets 10 stars. I got a cape (on sale for $20) in the store. Also a Huge pink stuffed pig (about the size of a pillow) for $15 for my daughter.

The ambiance was wonderful. Mel is a great server. Didn't rush us and helped us with what we needed. Food was authentic and delicious. Will definitely be returning again soon.

We had another wonderful experience at our local Cracker Barrell. Our server, Karen, was wonderful. She has been our server before and has always been friendly and very attentive. Shout out to the manager that evening, Sarah, as everything ran smoothly. We were seated minutes after arriving and after ordering our favorite "Wednesday Special" Broccoli Cheddar Chicken, our food was served very timely and was delicious! We had a great time!!!

Very family friendly. There's car seat holders, booster seats, and high chairs. There are changing tables in the men's and women's restrooms.

The service was attentive and prompt. We loved that the manager was checking in at tables to ensure good service.

We went at 5p on a Friday and had no wait getting seated. We'll absolutely visit this one again!

The moment we sat down, our wonderful waitress came by to take our order. We weren't ready yet, she patiently waited for us, coming back 3 times.

Possible Health Risk update!

This happened ONLY at the Brighton MICHIGAN location. This might only have occurred at my location , I hope this does NOT reflect the other great Cracker Barrel locations! I just want consumers aware of this situation. It will not stop my love for the rest of their meals.

The French toast served my wife was a dark brown coat of something. I did not get a chance to photograph the plate. The waitress informed us that the coding was brown sugar that was mix in the powder of the French toast. When I talk to the manager he also explained that it was a corporate decision to add the brown sugar to the batter of the French toast as a new breakfast item for their menu. The problem is is that iamb diabetic. We were not initially told that there was any sugar inside the toast at all, if I had eaten that as my meal I would possibly be in deep trouble with my blood sugar. As a diabetic I need to know that that sugar was added without my permission. I am angry I am upset because thankfully my wife is not diabetic but looking at the plate she refused to eat it she just canceled her meal. I am in my wife and I are original customers to the Brighton MI Cracker Barrel, we have never experienced such a radical change to a meal as we’ve been loyal customers to this location. I am angry that whoever made this decision if it was an error by the cook or if it really was a corporate decision to add sugar to a plate without customers knowledge I find this very difficult to swallow no pun intended. I pray that it is not the corporate decision that it was an error by the cook and that this won’t happen again but I just want to let you know that I am fearful that other customers might have reactions to the sugar that is put in the batter of your French toast. My rainbow trout Eye is absolutely delicious we’d love your food but the sudden change was just too much and I had to notify you today. I am sorry that I had to change my five star rating to a two star at this health issue it’s just too important to me to overlook. I hope Corporation can look into this matter I’m waiting to talk to them today and I hope things are better but I want the customers to know that this happened and I hope it doesn’t occur in your wonderful reopen future Cracker Barrel orders

just left the hospital for surgery. I had not eaten in 17 hours being diabetic I needed food. with a limited diet, I knew Cracker Barrel would have grilled food. Wife and I have dined here since it first opened decades ago. We were greeted by Host Travis whose genuine good natured was brought a smile to our faces. I walked past Manager Dan and I recognized that he was actually helping serve hot food with his wait staff. Usually I have seen managers here who just stand around and do nothing. I knew this was going to be a good meal. Waiter Greg is a life saver. Mentioning my need for something to offset my low blood sugar, he immediately brought me fresh biscuits and my lunch salad. I cannot thank him enough because I felt woo much better. The rainbow trout was delicious, my wife even enjoyed her meal. Greg was budding 10 to 12 tables and he cheerfully greeted each customers and quickly mer their needs and wishes. To management, please do everything you can for Greg, He is going into law enforcement and eventually join the FBI. PLEASE, Cracker Barrel support him, he is willing to put his life on the line for us! My future hero! He id one beautiful young man. This meal was special.

October 15 update
Our current waitresses,Karen, is doing an outstanding job serving everyone is a smile and very concerned about her good work, making sure the customers are happy. I ordered a Grill Chairman State with Ashbrown grits with brown sugar and turnip greens with her apple cider vinegar. My new favorite meal great job to the cook. Adam is a great person to clean off tables. He works very hard just like Karran.

Great thanksgiving menu, I enjoyed a lot the turkey and gravy and the price was great, we even got a piece of pumpkin pie, definitely a great experience.

Our server was OUTSTANDING! She was on top of everything from the moment we sat down until we finished our meal. Everything came out correctly and she made sure to do check backs and refills on point! It wasn't until I was almost finished with my meal when I noticed there was hair in it. NOT THE SERVERS FAULT of course! She handled it exactly the way I would when taking care of a customer. She got her manager immediately - he came out and apologized. Offered to make me a whole other meal but I was already full at that point. He came back to the table with a meal to go for later! Outstanding as always!!

Always great food and I love the shop.

Just went back for dinner! Our server Chrissy was great! Kendall is an excellent manager. I'm not sure who the head manager i, but they would not assist us with an issue, and Kendall stepped up! We'll be back because of him!

Simply delicious! Our waitress was on point with everything. Our food was cooked to order and hot when given to us. She even made special accommodation for our special needs infant, bringing us hot water to warm her bottle several times!

Had a little problem with our order but they were very nice and the food was excellent. Spicy Catfish and a Chicken Bacon sandwich.

Our waitress was amazing. Brianna I think is her name... she was on top of everything. Was not pushy she has potential to be a manager!
Only thing I really wanted was sweet potato casserole and they only serve it on certain days! Bring it back full time! 😁

This place is always a delight. The food is definitely home style and good. The store always has something to find your interest. Staff is always curtious and kind.

Outstanding food and service. Very clean inside and outside. There are lots of fun items to look at in the gift shop area to include clothes,nice nacks, and holiday items.

Breakfast was delicious and filling. We love sitting near the fire, the gift shop was surprisingly not overpriced. They have beautiful gifts staged to put you in the mood for CHRISTmas.

Revisit mid-June 2023 for breakfast We arrived right as they opened at 7, and were seated promptly. Our server Linda was very friendly and checked back several times for coffee fills etc. The nice lady who took our money was engaging and courteous - the kind of gal you don't mind giving money to! It was a great experience start to finish.

2/22/24: Stopped in for dinner- Our server, Jennifer, was top notch! She was polite, attentive, thorough, and even restocked the fireplace for me to add to our cozy ambiance. Thank you!

We stopped on our return to Canada from a bus tour to Chicago. Although we have been many times several 'newbies ' were very impressed! We had the chicken and dumplings and the kids meal shrimp and steak fries. Service was fast, food was hot and the prices were very good.
Looking forward to returning in the future.

The Cracker Barrel restaurant and store is the best breakfast place I know. I personally get the biscuits every time. The biscuits are extremely tasty and the best biscuits from any restaurant. There store is absolutely wonderful, they have a big selection of Cracker Barrel only items. My favorite things at the store are there salt and pepper shakers for just 99¢. Overall the service was great, the store was clean and the food was excellent. 10/10 :)

the atmosphere here is really nice with rocking chairs outside and Greg is a nice server I like the tea and gift shop has cute things. Although sometimes they refuse to edit orders like take cheese off and the stuffing is bad .
