I love this dental office (as much as one can). They are always respectful of my time and my comfort. They are gentle with my anxious self and they explain everything! My children also come here after going to a pediatric dentist who left them feeling bad about their teeth. The folks at Dover Dental make a real effort to find solutions. My daughters teeth were a mess, with one growing out of the top of her mouth. Dr. Ward was the only one out of 4 who decided to refer us to an orthodonist who could and would help! Her teeth are perfect now. I could go on and on about Dr Dumas, who just gets me. Staff is amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and respectful.

The thing I like most - the doctors are so respectful of the hygienists. It’s not like a boss and an underling. The hygienists are treated as their own entities, respected as partners. I have never seen this before, and it’s a small and subtle thing. It is a testament to the kind of place this is.

Every single staff memeber here always makes me feel welcome. My dentist is thorough and kind. My hygenist always goes above and beyond to make sure my teeth are clean.. i've been coming here for 2+ years with a year gap due to covid yet everyone treats me the same and employees remeber me. And its an easy check in check out. Highly reccomend!!!

This felt like a small way to share my gratitude for Dover Dental and Dr. Ward. The work they have done for me has been top notch. The whole team has a calm, welcoming, and informative approach that has made me feel comfortable anytime I've needed to visit. I can't recommend their team and services enough!

Just have to start by saying they folks at Dover Dental are absolutely fantastic!

While I wasn't there for myself (but will be moving there after this), I was helping somebody who is usually terrified of dentists. I explained that when setting up the appointment, and they really took that into consideration, and really helped her through it. Not sure anybody can say a dentist visit is "enjoyable", but this was a great experience!

Very friendly, helpful staff throughout.
Dr Ward took a lot of time carefully explaining what my problem is and what the potential treatments are, all in a very understandable manner.
I have a bad fear of /anxiety about going to the dentist (white knuckles on the armrests, even for simple Xrays), but the staff and Dr. Ward made me feel very comfortable and at ease.

Dover Dental has been FANTASTIC since I made the initial call to them! I didn't have to guess any costs because the office ladies provided me with the amount to expect (to the penny!) - before the appointment. My daughter and I were able to be seen as new patients within a week or two of calling them. They even took into consideration scheduling us at the same time or back to back, in an effort to help ME...no other dentist office that I've been to has ever extended their customer service like Dover Dental has. They truly think of everything - even down to COVID-19 phone screenings and reminding patients to wear a mask into the building for appointments. They were even disinfecting the lobby after people left. The attention to detail is quite remarkable, which I appreciate as a customer, but also as an office manager in my professional life.

However, I can't stop there! We've been back to Dover Dental a few times and the experience just keeps getting better. The assistants, dental hygienists and Dr. Ward are a breathe of fresh air. If you or your child are nervous about seeing the dentist - look no further, because Dr. Ward is probably the most laid back, yet professional, doctors around. He is very easy to talk to and seems to go out of his way to educate his patients in a clear, comprehensible way. My daughter (8 years old) never had a filling before but Dr. Ward helped make her feel right at home by putting on a cartoon for her to watch throughout the procedure! His wonderful assistant, Dani, gave her sunglasses and the rest was smooth sailing. I was honestly bracing for the worst reaction from my daughter, but she left there smiling...or at least she was trying to with the numbness. :)

I can't brag enough about Dover Dental. As a child, I went to the same office for 15 years, then stopped due to moving/college or loss of insurance. So, for the last 10 years+ and annoyances with state-specific Marketplace dental plans, I've been trying to find a new "dental home" to go to, but my search is FINALLY over! Just call Dover Dental and make an appointment - you won't be disappointed.

I have been a patient here since I was old enough to get my teeth cleaned and the staff has always been so incredible and kind! The work they do is fantastic and they are always super considerate. It's not easy to make someone feel comfortable in a dentist's chair but these guys are the best at it!

I have been a happy patient of Dr. Dumas for many years. I appreciate that Dr. Dumas takes his time, doesn't rush through explanations, and presents different options. I also appreciate that he is aware of my nervousness and has the calming gas available for procedures if needed.

If you have had any prior bad dental experiences, or experienced pain during a dental procedure (even while most of your mouth is numb) I highly recommend switching to Dr. Dumas at Dover Dental. His office is over an hour away from my home and I make the drive because he and his staff are worth it. The technicians and office staff are all warm, friendly, and very capable at what they do. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great establishment, doctors, and staff! Have been going to Dr. Dumas for many years, and moved to Dover Dental after he moved there. Him and Dr. Balzano have always been very thorough and always do a great job of explaining any issue that I run into. On several occasions, I have come into see them because of a possible bad/cracked/sensitive tooth issue and they've always been able to fit me in on very short notice, and if no nothing needed to really be done, they waived the charges for the visits. They truly care about the well being of their patients!

Love them, you'll never meet a sweeter group of people who clean, drill, and patch up your jaw bone protrusions. Shackled to the table (for their protection) under the soft glow of nicely lit halogen, wretched wails echo between the humbly decorated walls among pictures of happy adventure and loving family. Somewhere under the screaming and notes of peppermint candles, the gentle sounds of music embrace the patient guests as they happily await their turn. The kind doctor, who is now drenched in sweat from his struggles with the kicking and flailing, cleans up his tear soaked patient and coos warm condolences as he announces the procedure finished. My basic cleaning is done. Thank you Dover dental.

They only get a 3 because their hygienist have been so nice to my kids over the years.... but the check out and front desk people are awful. They won't make advance appts, they tell me to call months later, months later they have no appts for 6 months or more. This has been going on for years my kids appts are never on time. Done! Taking my kids somewhere else.

I went to Dover Dental for about a year. Due to insurance reasons had to change Dentists. Dover Dental had me using Clinpro toothpaste,
that you buy from them in the office. $25.00 a tube. Upon running out of Clinpro toothpaste, my new dentist gave me a prescription. I was surprised, nonetheless, filled and picked up. I was shocked and upset at the price of $11.70. Dover Dental had no issues in lying to me about the actual price of Clinpro toothpaste. Consumers beware of this Dental practice and the money they are making off deceiving you!

I'm not a fan of leaving negative reviews, even if I feel they are warranted, but my experience at Dover Dental has been by far the worst dental experience of my 30 years.

Rather than laying out my minute by minute experience I will break down all that was wrong with my time here.

-Full Mouth x-rays left multiple cuts in the roof of my mouth and was extraordinarily uncomfortable. Like nothing I've ever had prior.

-Was given little to no information about the state of my mouth or teeth after the first consultation. Still have no idea what work I need done.

-Second appointment went in for 1 filling on front tooth. Suddenly turned into two fillings when I got in the chair. Fillings felt wrong once completed and turned out after numbing wore off that I couldn't floss properly and would get pain when trying to.

-Third appointment. Wanted it to be strictly to fix the first filling. Ended up letting Dr. Ward do two fillings on my back teeth. Was wary but thought the first filling problems were probably a fluke. One of the fillings is so shoddily done I can hardly believe it. I essentially lost a 1/4 of my tooth in the process, it is not fully rounded out. I honestly cant believe that this is what he constitutes as completed work.

TLDR:
Dr. Ward is a bad dentist. He is not committed to his work, he doesn't do good work, and I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone go see him and let him work on your mouth. I gave him the benefit of the doubt after the first filling since I was admittedly late (although late or not a Dr. should still never skimp on the work they are doing. Either tell the patient they have to pay the cancelation fee because there isnt enough time, or do the job right.) But letting him do the second set of fillings is on me. Fool me twice and all that.
I know this is public, if Dover Dental wants to reach out to me regarding my experience then I would be happy to give feedback and speak with them, but I will not be going back and I would not recommend anyone go see Dr. Ward.
