My daughter developed an abscess on her tonsil and we couldn’t be more impressed with this hospital. The staff went above and beyond to ensure she was comfortable- even providing toys and coloring books. The room we stayed in was accommodating to our family while we stayed for treatment, and we were informed of everything along the way. The doctors were knowledgeable, but also caring and considerate for my little one. No one enjoys a hospital stay, but if it is required-this is definitely the place to go for pediatric needs.

I decided to take extra time and drive up to Wentworth douglas hospital and boy was I glad I did, they listened to everything I had to say and they tested me for everything, and they are very professional , and want above and beyond and Dr. Edward j. Williams was the best most professional doctor and he knew exactly what to do and Wentworth douglas hospital is lucky to have someone like Dr. Williams. The nursing staff was amazing and they were very fast giving me care and getting me home. They were highly motivated and I can't wait until they get back to their families after a hard day's work. The one thing I feel I should recommend is that I had a hard time finding the emergency room and it was too confusing trying to figure out how to get in the E.r and then I had a hard time getting outside once my visit was over. So I am going to tell them to get bigger signs for locating the emergency room because if it was hard for me to find it imagine what it would be like for someone panicked and in trouble with their children. I give them an A++++ but get those signs up

I had a wonderful experience in the birthing unit last year. The nurses, midwives and LNAs were all great. The lady who checked the car seat was very kind as well.

Not a bad wait in the ER, depending on severity, they move you from room to room to better tackle the problem. Nice staff is really knowledgeable. Went in there for 5 different issues and got a treatment plan for all of them. 10/10, the whole ordeal lasted maybe 2-3 hours, which for a hospital ER is extremely fast.

From the moment I walked for my same day surgery, Helen was with me every step of the check in process. My procedure did not go as planned and I had to go back into the OR and stay overnight. She brought me warm blankets and kept me calm. Before Helen left for the night, she came in and held my hand and said goodbye and told be everything would be fine.

The rest of the staff that helped me was
Amazing. Very comforting and helpful.

While I did start in the ED in a hallway for 90% of my time down there, the nurses and Doctors were so nice and not fake nice. Once I got on the cardiac floor every nurse every specialist and doctor were so nice and listened to me on meds especially pain meds. I hate feeling loopy so they may sure to get me meds that would not make me feel bad. Food isn't horrible but it isn't home cooking. I hate being in a hospital and these nurses made it better. Still here but I hope to get home tomorrow.

I have nothing but great things to say about this hospital and birthing center. I had planned to birth my baby with them in February but ended up having to deliver my son as a stillborn this week. The staff at the front desk are very helpful and kind. I can’t even begin to explain how wonderful my midwife and nurses were. They made sure anything I needed was taken care of in a timely manner, I never had to remind anyone of anything. The kindness and grace shown by everyone was incredible and I will never forget it. They treated me and my son no differently than anyone else. I would recommend this hospital to anyone, especially those expecting a little one.

Went to the ER Sunday evening for extreme tooth pain due to abscess/infection. Was seen promptly. Once settled in a room, a nurse came in. Michelle. I don't think I will ever forget her name. Now mind you, I was beside myself. She calmed me down, understood how scared and uncomfortable I was, did things slowly. (I hate medications so when she had to administer them she gave them to me super slow to make sure I was comfortable). I went home within a few hours of treatment and was able to sleep for the first time in days. She made sure my worries weren't worries anymore and assured me I wasn't going to die. Anyone who has had tooth pain can sympathize with this feeling of literally dying because it hurts so bad. Michelle - you were amazing to me and I will forever be grateful. Nurses like you, make a huge difference. THANK YOU.

This is a different kind of review , this one is about the security man who saved me from a really tricky situation today in barrington. (Dan dor) This man saved me earlier and i thank him so much ! I had my keys locked in my car- running, desperately asking for help. I felt the need to want to ask him after many attempts with others, and he said i’ll help. He did struggle for a while but in the end we got it! I give nothing but thanks to him he seriously helped me out so much.. It’s so hard to run into good citizens willing to help others outside of their expertise and area of work and him willing to give his time , patience, and knowledge means so much because i was in a crunch.. I thank him so much have a blessed holiday .

I was in a major car accident on Central Avenue recently and was brought in by ambulance to the WDH emergency room. From the start of my care until I was released 4 hours later, it was a positive experience. I can not say enough good things about my visit there. I had multiple test with multiple departments and each and every staff member was professional, caring and took great care of me. I highly recommend them. They put all of my fears at ease throughout my stay during that crucial time. I give them 10 stars!!! Dr. O'Brien is by far my favorite emergency room savior! I can understand that it can be quite busy in that department, but they make you feel like you are the "only" patient. I appreciate all that they did for me, they are a remarkable group!!! Outstanding!!! :)

Was brought to the ER for ketoacidosis, staff were attentive and answered my questions and were open to discussions about a care plan and my own wants in terms of treatment. Waits were a bit long, but when you’re in a full ER in a hospital that’s completely full, and 4 stroke patients come in while your there, you kinda just gotta be a patient patient.

I had the best experience at this hospital. I was admitted on 10/29/22 for an induction of labor at 39 weeks. I went into it not knowing what to expect as this was my first pregnancy. I never once felt out of the loop when it came to my care. Everything was always explained thoroughly and with my husband and I included. The nurses, doctors, lnas, and anesthesiologists were all incredible at keeping me calm and informed. I can’t give this hospital enough credit for everything they did for my husband, son and I.

I brought my son into the Emergency room for respiratory problems and flu symptoms and I cannot express how absolutely quick and wonderful they were. They took my son right in and gave him the best care before transferring us to the Children’s floor where they too took the absolute best care of my son and were also so unbelievably accommodating to me as the parent. The bedside manner was something that I had never witnessed. The doctors and nurses were caring, attentive and so helpful. This is by far the best hospital experience myself or my children have ever had. Thank you Wentworth Douglass and your staff for taking such good care of my son.
