George's Sausage and Delicatessen

I have a love hate relationship with George's, Love: that it's so dang good and close by to where I work, Hate: because it's so close to where I work! It's a lovely family owned Polish deli filled with lots of wonderful goodies and tasty sandwiches. My favorites are the liverwurst or headcheese sandwich with a side of potato salad or soup if it's really cold out. You can't go wrong with any of their offerings. The staff are so nice and patient. The store is small and quaint but filled with lots of Polish items and treats. There is a lot of construction around the area but don't let that stop you from coming by to this awesome place!

I randomly chose this deli to grab a sandwich before catching a train south and I had such a delightful experience. Tifani was among the nicest people I've ever met and was super helpful in advising me on building the perfect pastrami sandwich. The food is delicious and a great value. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Seattle! Thanks for the great experience!

Day trip from Portland and stopped in for some cold cuts. Both of the ladies working today helped us greatly selecting meat and slicing as well as helping us pick out some polish beer to try. Super friendly. Will be back next time I’m up.

If you are a fan of the delicatessen, you need to go here. If you like sausage, you should go here. The sandwiches are very good, the owner and staff are wonderful. I think the prosciutto was the best I've ever had. There are lots of other meats (see the photo of the meat window) and many European products, as well. It's worth the trip.

"Eating Polish food is like getting a warm hug." So accurate. Wonderful, kind people, delicious meats and sandwiches, unique Polish imports including chocolates, pickled veggies, dry goods, and beer. If you're in the area and don't stop in, you're missing a wonderful experience.

I have had the pleasure of visiting George's frequently due to the proximity to my employer. Wonderful food and staff.
It is a historic location that is currently facing access issues due to road construction and a fire in an adjacent building. Go visit them!
My favorite items are all of their soups, and the salami / Italian sandwiches. However, I have yet to try everything on the menu so this could change!

Truly one of Seattle's treasures. Very friendly and patient staff explained the extensive products to non-Polish customers, They make fresh and smoked sausages on site, make specialty breads,and import dairy, dry goods, and so much more. Great sandwiches made to order!

Been walking past this deli every morning to work and finally decided to stop by to grab a sandwich. I wish I had came by sooner. This place goes crazy. First hill gem. Even better people!

Oh boy I’m impressed! As someone who did not grow up with sandwiches, I’m really getting to see all the possibilities sandwiches can be so delicious. The Reuben was amazing to say the least, the hot corned beef paired with melted cheese was pure joy to enjoy. I went back for a cold sandwich paired with mushroom soup, and I’m even more impressed! The mushroom soup is the most mushroomy soup I’ve ever had! And the cold sandwich was a delight with tender and juicy pastrami. Not to mention all the delicious sausages they offer and assorted pantry items from Eastern Europe. I can already see myself visiting over and over again. Def a hidden gem in seattle!

truly one of the best cold cut sandwiches i've ever had in my life. everything is so authentic, it feels like you just stepped into a german deli. they sell all sorts of European snacks and sweets as well, lovely staff. 5/5

All of the items they had in stock looked yummy and like they would be a lot of fun to cook with. I ordered their sausage and vegetable soup, which was delicious and very reasonably priced.

Really excellent sandwiches and lots of interesting snacks to buy! Wish there was somewhere to sit and eat though. Highly recommend the Pastrami sandwich.

This is a Seattle hidden gem for great sandwiches! Inexpensive delicious deli sandwiches. It's simple. You get your money's worth with anything you order off their sandwich menu. Fresh deli meats are piled up high between a good selection of fresh bread.

Finally I found a good place to eat in Seattle. This delicatessen is amazing.

In town from Chicago and looking for a quick bite before we left. Will 1000000% recommend and be back if I'm in the area again. The woman working was so freaking nice! And Holy smokes the sandwhiches are top notch! Like cannot express enough how good it was! In addition to their market and smoked meats they offer thick fat stacked sandwhiches. I'm talking unhinge your jaw fat. Whatever sauce they use, wow. Quality and flavor and customer service 100/10. Cannot recommend enough.

Delicious pastrami on rye with fresh vegetables and cheese. Quick and friendly service. I found a park nearby to enjoy the sandwich (Minor Ave & University St)

Simple sandwiches done to perfection. The ingredients are so fresh a tier came down my eye after the first bite. Insanely good sandwiches don't miss out. I personally tried the roasted beef with cheddar and sour dough.
