Having come here for over a decade, I can confidently say this is one of the best sushi restaurants in Seattle.

From the moment you are seated, you are warmly greeted and given a hot towel (oshibori). The quality of the fish blows competition out of the water in taste and price.

I recommend either coming in at opening for lunch (for the best sushi value in the city) or making a reservation for dinner to try their omakase and a few shared plates.

What a treat ! This was one of the freshest fish I tried in Seattle (and I tried a lot of them ) . The spot is not in a very crowded neighborhood (but there is 5 or 6 nice place around it ). Overall a nice find (I know it’s not new ) but new to me and I love it .

After driving around for an hour and discovering how many restaurants are now closed in this area of Seattle, we lucked out by finding the local sushi spot. Although you only get 4 pieces, the Kasaki roll was amazing. Anything with that soy paper wrapping - strongly recommend. Service was surprisingly fast for a sushi restaurant and the waiter was very patient and accommodating to my son who has special needs. Great value for the money.

I picked up take out, which was ready at the time promised. I was early, so I waited outside - they were very nice and brought the order out to me.
We bought a variety of rolls, salads, and a salmon collar. It was all well prepared and very tasty, with subtle flavor details that I look for in a good sushi place.
At quick glance the dining room was very relaxed, open, and welcoming including for families. I’d love to eat in sometime.

Daily menu updates are posted inside the door.
Greeter told me the web menus are very old, so consult the latest menu photos for examples of current offerings.

Super good! I got the sushi combination 2 and the staff was super accommodating with me replacing one of the sushis with another type of fish since I can’t have raw salmon :)
Food was absolutely excellent and thick pieces of fish too! Definitely will be coming back. My husband loved the leftovers and wants me to bring him with next time 😄

Edited to add pictures now that I came here again! Really good

If you ask me for a sushi place in Seattle, I would definitely recommend this one! I can’t count how many times we had dinners, lunches and takeout from this restaurant. And it was perfect 95% of the time (there were some times the fish was not ideal, but it was a long time ago and never happened since

Absolutely love Kisaku - so much that I have some hesitation in letting too many others in on it. Outstanding sushi curated from the absolute freshest fish - often with a special chef’s twist: sprinkle of a citrus infused salt, or a smoky mayo dotted onto king salmon embellished with roe. This is always my “dessert” .
Also - you can hear yourself and converse with others. People bring children who get to enjoy real delicious food. Owner is chef. Even the seating is curved and comfortable and welcoming.
My kids’ favorite place to have a special dinner with mom.

We are regular customers and love coming for lunch. Their lunch special is a good deal and good value. Sushi or sashimi combo including a complimentary salad and a miso soup. We also order from their Ala cart menu. Fish is fresh, good service and clean. I recommend sitting at the bar because the chef/owner will take good care of you. Food quality overall is very consistent.

We went here for our anniversary and Richard (the head chef) was part of our omakase service. He was excellent - professional and kind, very knowledgable about the sushi he was serving us. It was a super busy night, but he never look flustered and got the job done for the whole restaurant and for us. Well deserved stars for this restaurant!

We went here to celebrate my sisters birthday. It was a cozy spot near Pike Place market. It turns out the sushi chef master was the first chef to bring sushi from Japan to the Seattle area.

We did the omakase sitting at the bar. We were very full by the end. There were some unique dishes and soups that were served. Service was top notch! The sashimi was fresh and delicious and the sushi chefs made the experience feel very personable. I’d recommend checking it out if you have not tried an omakase style sitting.

Had some of the best sushi I’ve had in Seattle. Very fresh and what’s more, their fish selection is fantastic.

I ordered the Medium Sashimi combo, able to choose from almost 30 fish options, many of which I have never seen on a menu but long been wanting to try.

Spanish mackerel sashimi in Seattle??? Yes please. The wait staff was also super friendly

Went with the omakase and was absolutely delighted with the quality and variety. To be fair, it's not so much "omakase" as it is a "prix fixe" menu, but delicious none the less. Good quality and quantity.
The fish was wonderful, but as silly as it sounds the shishito peppers were one of my favorite courses.
The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, perfect. Overall, while a little pricy for a regular night out, I'm definitely keeping this place bookmarked for special occasions

This is the best sushi I could have ever imagined. I got the omakase (chef's choice) and it was just literally mind blowing. I was in disbelief at the amazing flavors and how fresh everything tasted. The chef was also very personable and had previously been head sushi chef in Dallas, where I currently live, and gave me recommendation to try Uchi when I get back home.

Even their most basic rolls that my friends ordered were outstanding quality too. And the prices were extremely reasonable. I see no reason to go anywhere else for sushi when in Seattle in the future. A++

Our chef Richard and his teammate that night were amazing! We did Omakase at the sushi bar and felt so taken care of. His mastery and creativity with his fish combos was amazing. Every bite exceeded the last one we had and I didn’t think it could keep getting better. Loved the yellow jack, uni, the ora king salmon, toro flight. The prices were so affordable for something that you would find in even the fanciest edomae places right now. I had 19 pieces and it was less than $100! The vibes in the restaurant were neighborhood-y and fun.

I will 100% be back. If you go ask to sit with Richard!

Very very good uni. So silky smooth and sweet. I always order one order of uni at restaurant because you know, most places are not that good. Either the color was too dull or not sweet. Some places even served uni that was still icy! Not Kisaku. I ordered two more orders 😂🤣

Excellent food, service, and experience. Each item was incredibly fresh and the flavor pairings were very complimentary. Our server was great- friendly and knowledgeable. Kisaku has been added into our regular restaurant rotation list. Thanks for such a positive experience!
