Friday at noon - this place was packed! Lots of grab and go options, novelty treats/ grocery items, nice wine/beer section, as well as a kitchen in the back (not always open - be sure to double check before you go). Great menu options, both unique and traditional items, and always really tasty. Haven’t been mad at anything I’ve tried yet!

What a find! Everything was imaginative and absolutely delicious! Their Griddled Cheese sandwich was oozing with cheese, the bread perfectly grilled and with just the perfect amount of whole grained mustard. The Double Patty Melt was served on a brioche bun, with the usual toppings, except they add smoked onions! Amazing! I had to try the Blackened Sweet Potato Sandwich! Intriguing, right? It was incredibly tasty...rye bread, sweet potatoes, crispy onions, goat cheese and shredded cabbage! So delicious! Good coffee and nicely seasoned french fries...they were delicious, but a tad too salty for my taste. If we lived in the area, I would lunch here frequently. The staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient.

This is such a pleasant little jewel for the Crystal Spring area. Unique grocery items, a good selection of wine with wine tastings, my favorite ice cream sandwiches (Nightingale), and the best lunch/ brunch menu around! I love the sweet potato and chicken sandwiches! They also have daily sandwich specials and delicious brunch specials on Sundays!

Had a fabulous experience having my folks 60th Anniversary catered this past weekend on-site at Crystal Spring Grocery.

Rave reviews from attendees on the food and service - which was chosen based on hearts desire from the wonderful foodie lunch menu - so yummy! From the Matty Patty burgers, and fries, to the chopped salad and sweet potato sandwiches and tomato bisque soup.

This is the cutest place! Great atmosphere and lots of gifts as well. Food is delicious and they decorate for holidays.

Honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, and I'm a self proclaimed foodie. Highly recommend their Turkey sandwich and fries! Generous portion and super fresh! Would've taken a picture, but I ate it too quickly...

First trip in today, had the fried chicken sandwich. It was delicious, can’t wait to go back. There’s odds and ends, wine, and dry goods available to. Everything is well curated!

Worth the trip, even if you have to add the 7 mins to travel from the highway. So much better than any fast food option! There is a grab and go case with salads, etc or you can order something made. Clean indoor and outdoor seating, well-spaced apart. And, a big water bowl for your pooch. Try the sweet potato sandwich with kimchi and the steak fries. Delicious!

This place is amazing! Got the fried chicken sandwich and fries and so dang good. Everything on the menu looks delicious. Going to have to come back and try it all:) Would highly recommend.

There's something for everyone here. It's my favorite place to go make a gift basket or treat myself to something unique for eating or cooking. The food counter and prepared foods section are also excellent! I wish it was in my neighborhood, but also glad it isn't or they would be taking all my money.

Had no idea it was what it was. Great food from their deli. Awesome gift shop with things you can't find anywhere else. Highly recommend

When South Roanoke’s Tinnell’s Finer Foods store closed for good in 2019 after more than 80 years of service, many wondered if another little grocery store could possibly replace it. Since opening in 2020, Crystal Spring Grocery Co. (CSGC) has proven to be a great little neighborhood grocery/restaurant/wine store. Whether you decide to eat inside, out front, or take it “to go,” you’re always going to get a delicious, often unique, and huge portioned lunch. Ordering online is a snap and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. I’ve always loved the idea of having a local “pub” in my neighborhood I could walk to, and while not really a pub, it has that local chummy feel about it. It’s a great place for lunch or just meeting someone to visit.

We were being severed by the kindest lady called Bonnie. So many tasty goodies in there. We loved everything and it made our day :)

It's been a while since I have been impressed like this. I had a business meeting nearby and the Crystal Spring Grocery was highly recommended. Easy to see why. The food, atmosphere, and service are all first rate. If I lived in the neighborhood I'd be here every day.

A small local shop that exceeds your expectations every time! The very best heirloom tomatoes, heritage pork chops, cowboy steaks, incredible sandwiches and wraps, a wide variety of groceries, and super helpful friendly staff. You can't miss at Tinnell's.

Located in the lovely village of Crystal Spring, Roanoke. Delightful grocery / resturant for take out or eat in. Unique. Pleasant & courteous staff.

This place is by far the bougiest corner store I have ever been to in Virginia. But when I tell you the staff, specifically the lady in the front is the reason Ill be back! She gives very much "Im disgusted by the snobbery that goes on here and let me tell you about it" vibes. I could literally listen to her all day. Now the food and selection. A mothereffin plus. Capital A. My husband found this place and he is VERY snobby, its comical. He's one of those people that can tell you if juice is FRESHLY pressed or if the meat hes eating is from a farm where the grass is treated with herbicides or pesticides and he was tripping over his birkenstocks to see everything they had. He even convinced me to buy a 4-pack of passionfruit cider beer for 22 dollars. The hair on my toes curled! They also had in-house baked dog treats. Fabulous, my chihuahua now knows the sound of the breadwire unraveling from the packaging and salivates at the smell of the cheese biscuits they make. Its a problem. The deli they have in the back had a really knowledgeable team. The gentleman my husband and I spoke to was basically an encyclopedia of deli meats. I was highly impressed hearing about the detailed prep and selection process that goes into Cappicola and Iberian ham. The store it self was very clean, bright and had all of the niche products you could think of like Manuka Honey and Gochujang. This is no Kroger or Save A Lot but if you are in the neighborhood and value at the very least a handcrafted turkey and cheese sandwich with a side of orange and chocolate flavored kitkats from Japan then you will be more than satisfied.

Get the turkey sandwich. I've been here a dozen times and don't even know what any of the other sandwich offers taste like

A delightful little store/eatery!! It is neat and well organized with an eclectic array of specialty items, wine and ready to eat/take home items. This is truly a charming venue with friendly, engaging employees. I must admit, I haven't lunched here yet but I've heard raves about their food, which can be enjoyed at an outdoor table on the sidewalk of this lovely neighborhood. The nice lady who rang me up was a delight, definitely returning and highly recommend.
